In my opinion the worst directors in recent history.

1. Ulli Lommel

Actor | Strangers in Paradise

Widely known for his frequent collaborations with Rainer Werner Fassbinder, a creative partnership which lasted 10 years and produced over 20 films, Ulli Lommel is one of the most consistently creative filmmakers to come from the New German Cinema movement.

The son of German comic performer Ludwig ...

There is not a single film that he has directed that is good, not even decent to say the least. All of his works are crappy student-film-like horror flicks on acid. I don't know if thats meant to be his "signature style" of filming or he just plain sucks? Na, he probably just sucks. lol

2. Uwe Boll

Producer | Postal

As a youth, he produced a number of short films on Super 8 and video. After short stints as guest auditor at Filmacademy Vienna and Filmhochschule Munich, Boll studied literature and economics in Cologne and Siegen. He graduated from university in 1995 with a doctorate in literature. From 1995-2000...

The only film I liked from him was Rampage. As for the rest of his work you all pretty much know what to expect.

3. Catherine Hardwicke

Director | Twilight

Hardwicke's first film as a director was the Sundance winner THIRTEEN which explored the transition into teenage years with an authenticity that still captures young audiences (1.3 billion Tik Tok engagements.) Hardwicke directed LORDS OF DOGTOWN before she became best known as the director of ...

I thought both Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown were pretty good movies. Then she decided to direct Twilight. "Faceplam"

4. C. Thomas Howell

Actor | The Outsiders

After an eye-catching performance in the teen coming-of-age epic The Outsiders (1983), ex-child rodeo star C. Thomas Howell was a promising young actor in the mid-1980s.

Christopher Thomas Howell was born in Los Angeles to Candice (Webb) and Chris Howell (a professional bull rider turned stuntman). ...

I think he should just stick to acting, though his recent efforts have been the same crap movies that he's directed.

5. Marcus Nispel

Director | Friday the 13th

Marcus Nispel was born on May 26, 1963 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. He is a director and producer, known for Friday the 13th (2009), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and Pathfinder (2007).

This guy's whole filmography consists of crappy horror remakes.

6. Paul W.S. Anderson

Writer | Resident Evil: Apocalypse

Paul W.S. Anderson gained a fair bit of notoriety in his native England when he directed the ultra-violent Shopping (1994) (which he also wrote), starring Jude Law and Sean Pertwee in a story about thieves who steal by ramming a car into storefronts. The film was banned in some cinemas in England, ...

The man behind the atrocious Resident Evil film series.

7. Michael Bay

Producer | Armageddon

A graduate of Wesleyan University, Michael Bay spent his 20s working on advertisements and music videos. His first projects after film school were in the music video business. He created music videos for Tina Turner, Meat Loaf, Lionel Richie, Wilson Phillips, Donny Osmond and Divinyls. His work won...

The man behind the big-budget flops.

8. Jason Friedberg

Writer | Disaster Movie

Jason Friedberg was born on January 16, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. He is a writer and director, known for Disaster Movie (2008), Epic Movie (2007) and Meet the Spartans (2008).

He along with Aaron Seltzer are the ones behind all of those horrible Scary Movie-style parody flicks. Ex. Epic Movie, Date Movie etc.

9. Sean McNamara

Producer | Hoovey

To capture the essence of Sean McNamara's skills as a Director, one need not look further than critics' reviews of his latest theatrical work on "Soul Surfer" for Tristar Pictures/FilmDistrict.

"Soul Surfer is the kind of sturdy, satisfying family drama that doesn't get made very often anymore. But ...

His whole filmography consists of really bad kids movies. Ex. Bratz: The Movie. Hahaha!

10. Tyler Perry

Writer | Diary of a Mad Black Woman

Perry was born and raised in New Orleans, to Willie Maxine (Campbell) and Emmitt Perry, Sr. His mother was a church-goer and took Perry along with her once a week. His father was a carpenter and they had a very strained and abusive relationship, which led Perry to suffer from depression as a ...

He seems to only write and direct films that may only appeal to an African-American audience.
