Actors That Make Any Movie Good for Me Just By Being In It

Who can resist his evil laughs and always quality acting, even in the worst of films?

Congo is one of the worst films - ever. Campbells scene in it was memorable. Think about the possibility if it was HE who had the leading role. Would have changed the movie entirely - and they should have put a wrestling match with him and Tim Curry in the middle of the movie --- Oh what a wasted opportunity in the right hands of a great director.

Everyone knows Lance is great as a villain and sometimes as a hero too so wonder they give him bitparts or roles where he just say bad lines because they know that I will love him anyway.

No one made sympatetic monsters and sick scientists better than him. Hell, he even made "The Gorilla" and "The Terror" watchable.

He just has that cool presence over him and is another one of those actors that was sooo underrated during their lifetime

One of the best examples on a great actor that it's hard not to cheer for everytime he's on screen. He's been too many times the supporting actor to some other actor that I could not care anything about and the only thing I would like is to see him in the main role. Amazing from "Quest for Fire" and onwards.

He has made some of the most boring scifi-episodes og horror movies in history great just by his sneaky presence and great way of delivering lines and he even saved "I Still Know what you did last summer" in 1 and a half minute. All. By. Himself.

The big smile always arrive when mr. Ironside is on screen

When the man with the golden beard arrives you know it's usually for some epic moment or just doing a fantastic job.

He's done "Brady Bunch" movies and the D.O.A. series "Crusade" and still has his dignity and even made THAT watchable. Wow.

Ok. Hard to really know if I wanted to put him on MY list as sometimes he can even do the worst film unwatchable as he sometimes really overact like in "The Mangler" and make some really bad roles (like in "The Mangler"), but he still manage to be strangely fascinating in a way that a worse actor never could do so - yeah he should be here. He is the only thing that kept the Elm Street-franchise alive too and made them good in a way noone else could and he's shown he can do sympatetic roles too.

He blend comedy and seriousness fantastically - has had some great bitparts that would be crap in other hands (just look at his face in a blink-or-you-miss it performance when the soldiers burn that barn in "The Patriot") and has been exceptional in several TV shows that would not have been the same without him ("Chuck", "Firefly").

One of the best slimeballs in cinema and TV history. If they ever should remake "Faust" in the next years I know who I would see.

Nobody does selfparody better than Shatner and noone is more unpredictable in his acting - it's impossible not to love him even though he runs off with beautiful alien chicks, fight giant spiders or just is an old horny man. He is the closest thing to Tom Jones of the movie industry without being Tom Jones doing movies :P

Like great wine that only gets better and better, but when I think about it even his bitparts from the end of the 50s and upwards have been pretty memorable.

He debuted in "Sleepwalk" and that's fitting as he can sleepwalk through a movie and he's still one hell of a great presence in a movie

As a makeup / effect person even movies where he didn't show up I knew that it would be great just by he being involved in it and making it bloody and gruesome, but he's watchable also in movies that aren't that great to begin with - and he steals every scene in "From Dusk till Dawn"...

... Except when the cool Williamson is around to steal the spotlight of someone.

Even before his most famous days in "Lost" he made anything watchable. Just look at his prior work - no one could do mystic, dangerous persons better than him. Lance Henriksen and Terry was the best crimesolvers ever in "Millennium" so everytime I see O'Quinn on screen is a happy day indeed.

Just look at his IMDB picture. Would you not say he has a magnetic politican smile that pull you in to watch something?

Another underrated actor that usually never have the main role in anything but give him a big role and it will become golden.

One of those 'friendships' that you know will last for a lifetime once you get to know him.

Hitchcock knew he could always trust mr. John Williams in anything and so can we.

He had to be on the list shouldn't he? He is one of those great legends that in the end did so much voicework and strange roles in crap things that would have been the worst things on earth had it not been that Orson gave it all his roles the dignity and heart of a dreamer - even when he didn't care for the material.
