Ace of a film this one. The film has everything to do with being a superhero. It is almost everyone's fantasy to go to a school such as Sky High. This film has the perfect characterization and the most unimaginable superpowers everyone has....... Incredible!!!

Needless to say, a family of superheroes is very original. But it is even more original for them to retire and come back into action with big and really BIG BANG in the film's climax. There is almost no one who dislikes this movie. As far as I have seen everyone were thrilled by the very mention of the film. Rest is self-explanatory.

Woo Hoo Hoooooooo!!! Here we have it. One of the finest films I have seen. Much better than any of the previous TMNT films (far better than the TV Series), it has the perfect story for its setting, great dialogues, sound effects stun and impeccable animation. That sums it up!!!

4. Megamind (2010)

Votes: 296,030 | Gross: $148.42M

In how many films before this one, have you seen the supervillain becoming the actual superhero? And in how many films has the superhero "died"? Lemme guess.....zero? Also the personality given for megamind is worth a wow!! And I need not mention Will Ferell's voice acting at all...

Oh Yes!! The Mask. Now....... let me think...... ummm.... Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz, the bad guys, the story, dramatic effect, all the funny acts of the Mask character, animations........ that should make a great movie in theory. And guess what?? It Makes fantastic movie in practice.

Votes: 350,197 | Gross: $59.62M

The Duology. Its one absolute guy film. I never knew Ron Pearlman has this much of a personality with acting. "Red" and "Blue" simple take the cake. Even the female lead has superpowers and they fight in one cool way matched by nothing else in any other film. The weird stuff in the film is the true fun, in fact.

7. Iron Man (2008)

PG-13 | 126 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

79 Metascore

After being held captive in an Afghan cave, billionaire engineer Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil.

Director: Jon Favreau | Stars: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges

Votes: 1,125,391 | Gross: $318.41M

A film that broke the norm of most superhero films prior to it. Besides, being one of the few films where a superhero gets his powers through his costume+weapons+equipments, not inherently (like in fantasy films), the film actually has the hero guy kidnapped and held captive. Best part, he escapes through his own effort combined with his friend's. And........ he is a technically sound businessman. All of it is a thumbs up!!

8. Green Lantern (2011)

PG-13 | 114 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

39 Metascore

Reckless test pilot Hal Jordan is granted an alien ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers that inducts him into an intergalactic police force, the Green Lantern Corps.

Director: Martin Campbell | Stars: Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong

Votes: 296,191 | Gross: $116.60M

I understand many berate it. But I am glad that at least I see the awesomeness of the film and appreciate the greatness. It's has one of the finest special effects incorporated, and leaves the viewer mesmerizing with grandeur. And has a very lively tone set throughout the film (more than I can say for most of the so-called "great" films made these days). It literally had my eyes stuck to the screen.

9. X-Men (2000)

PG-13 | 104 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

64 Metascore

In a world where mutants (evolved super-powered humans) exist and are discriminated against, two groups form for an inevitable clash: the supremacist Brotherhood, and the pacifist X-Men.

Director: Bryan Singer | Stars: Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen

Votes: 646,865 | Gross: $157.30M

The first film of the series is a kicker, totally amazing. And all the films that followed have been (or have tried to be) equally good. The first part though stands tall among the rest. A team of superheroes again, than just one. Well, this film is inexplicable like many others. One must have watched to know what I mean.

10. Hulk (2003)

PG-13 | 138 min | Action, Sci-Fi

54 Metascore

Bruce Banner, a genetics researcher with a tragic past, suffers an accident that causes him to transform into a raging green monster when he gets angry.

Director: Ang Lee | Stars: Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott, Josh Lucas

Votes: 278,651 | Gross: $132.18M

The film left me totally flabbergasted, especially with the story and the action scenes adorning the climax. The dramatization is perfect with the casting and characterization beautifully coinciding with each other. The action scenes are just great, a treat for the eyes and the mind. Must not forget the special effects which made the hulk guy come alive!

11. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

PG-13 | 124 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

66 Metascore

Steve Rogers, a rejected military soldier, transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a "Super-Soldier serum". But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down a warmonger and a terrorist organization.

Director: Joe Johnston | Stars: Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell

Votes: 897,162 | Gross: $176.65M

Another well-made film that hits this list. Very good indeed for a made-up-for-The-Avengers film. Very overlooked sometimes, but nevertheless amazing filming with all that action, science fiction, WWII-themed setting and something that ends unexpectedly in the present day. I was only wondering how it would end until it actually ended with the same excitement as it started out. The film must be commended holding the audience's attention all through the film and there were no parts that bored the viewers. And once again the war-theme is really excellent. An already legend-like character made into a classic film this one.

12. Fantastic Four (I) (2005)

PG-13 | 106 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

40 Metascore

A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom.

Director: Tim Story | Stars: Ioan Gruffudd, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans, Jessica Alba

Votes: 343,962 | Gross: $154.70M

The Duology. Fantastic films as the title suggests. The cast members are the perfect choices for their respective roles and the combination of each one's super power is exciting. Great special effects, absolutely fantastic filming... FLAWLESS!!

13. Blade II (2002)

R | 117 min | Action, Horror, Sci-Fi

52 Metascore

Blade forms an uneasy alliance with the vampire council in order to combat the Reapers, who are feeding on vampires.

Director: Guillermo del Toro | Stars: Wesley Snipes, Kris Kristofferson, Ron Perlman, Leonor Varela

Votes: 234,511 | Gross: $82.35M

Another great piece of an action film. More than a regular superhero film, this one entertains more like an action film. Nothing more exciting to know than your enemies will burn to ashes as you strike and kill them. Wesley Snipes plays real cool and kicks some butt out.

14. Spider-Man (2002)

PG-13 | 121 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

73 Metascore

After being bitten by a genetically-modified spider, a shy teenager gains spider-like abilities that he uses to fight injustice as a masked superhero and face a vengeful enemy.

Director: Sam Raimi | Stars: Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Willem Dafoe, James Franco

Votes: 880,279 | Gross: $403.71M

A film that shook Hollywood out of its seat followed by sequels. Just the whole series is simply superb. There cannot be a replacement for Spidey, NO not on this planet. Spawning even a reboot, the film series, just the whole trilogy has made a lasting impact on the genre itself.

15. Krrish (2006)

Not Rated | 154 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

68 Metascore

Krishna is forced by circumstances to use his superpowers and become the masked superhero Krrish, before getting drawn towards his lost legacy.

Director: Rakesh Roshan | Stars: Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah

Votes: 24,070

Intelligently made sequel to what was an ordinary science-fiction film, Koi... Mil Gaya. The film has almost everything in it, perfect choice for an entertainer and well-suited for Indian audience especially. Great female lead, perfect villain, challenging situations and most of all Hrithik playing Krrish.

16. Underdog (2007)

PG | 84 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

37 Metascore

A Beagle must use his newly-bestowed superpowers to defend Capitol City from mad scientist Simon Barsinister.

Director: Frederik Du Chau | Stars: Peter Dinklage, Jason Lee, Amy Adams, Jim Belushi

Votes: 22,737 | Gross: $43.76M

Once again, an underrated and almost forgotten film. A good entry for the comedy superhero film. It just does great for a relaxed afternoon movie or a late morning movie. This is just the kind of film that goes for any kind of day and any with any mood. One that does not bore out with the flow.
