Очень важная прибавка в коллекцию классики фильмов про погони — им посвящена как минимум треть экранного времени. И хотя все обходится без особых трюков вроде прыжков через крыши, сделаны они более чем здорово. Забавно смотрится и то что происходит помимо погонь — много стилизации под нуар, немного гротескные персонажи без имен, очень комиксово. "Перевозчик" со Стетхемом во многом пришел отсюда, да и авторы GTA, думаю, тоже держат это кино в списке любимых вместе с работами Халицки.

Еще раз пересмотрел после того как увидел кучу классики 70х на эту тему — Bullitt, Vanishing Point, Duel, Starsky & Hutch, Gone in 60 Seconds, Junkman и т.п. — и фильм оказался еще интереснее. В отличие от не сильно удавшейся стилизации "Jackie Brown", тут дух оригинальных фильмов передан очень здорово, а сцены погонь (и постановка, и совмещение с музыкой) особенно хороши. Одна из лучших стилизаций и трибьютов ever. На носу обоих машин каскадера Майка, кстати, резиновый утенок из "Конвоя".

Хорошие неблокбастерные фильмы про погони и гонщиков выходят редко, а тут еще и здорово передан дух лучших образцов жанра 60х-70x. Чем-то напоминает почти одноименную классику Driver, хотя там все обошлось без явной крови. Очень красивая картинка с шикарнейшими планами L.A., здорово попадающий в атмосферу саундтрек, хорошие некартонные персонажи. И главное — свежий подход к постановке погонь, в котором саспенс строится не на обилии взрывов и переворотов. Любителям жанра — однозначно в коллекцию.

Наконец-то посмотрел классику фильмов про погони. Отличная и забавная дурилка с Понтиаком Trans-Am в главной роли и одним из лучших саундтреков — очень четко ложится и гармонично играет на протяжении всего фильма. Сюжет тут никому не нужен, зато есть антураж и просто веселый колорит 70х. Оказывается, было еще два сиквела.
