1. American Horror Story (2011– )

TV-MA | 60 min | Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi

An anthology series centering on different characters and locations, showcasing different aspects of horror.

Stars: Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson

Votes: 343,916

I'd never never thought American Horror Story could get the first place. I saw the pilot on internet last month and I was: "Yes, okay. This show is a little awkward, but okay." And when I saw episode 2: "Hum... It's getting better."After the third episode I was already addicted. The show reminds me Lost, with a mithology and great characters and actors. It's so nice that a character like Violet can expand and change in just some episodes. We have just a few scenes with Moira(Frances Conroy), but is great because she has the best lines anyway! And Jessica Lange... I'm wondering if that woman can show us a bad acting on American Horror Story. No! She can't! She's great! I felt that Connie Britton was absent on some episodes, but I still love and love Vivien. This show is different from we're used to see. Which tv show nowadays can kill all the leading characters in just 12 episodes? Which tv show introduces misteries and solves them in just 12 episodes? (Some of them I know) I'm sad about saying good bye to the Harmon's. I'm sure they can produce a second season with this quality on scripts and actors.

2. Nikita (2010–2013)

TV-14 | 60 min | Action, Crime, Drama

A rogue assassin returns to take down the secret organization that trained her.

Stars: Maggie Q, Shane West, Lyndsy Fonseca, Aaron Stanford

Votes: 53,908

"And the last word they will breath before the end will be my name." Nikita makes me feel happy. This tv show is really awesome! I'm serious. Which action tv series is better than Nikita? Maggie Q, Lyndsy Fonseca, Melinda Clarke. Wow, these girls are the best! And we have Tiffany Hines. Damn, when I'm starting to like the girl she dies! And those black boxes and Alex's past are the great part of Nikita's story. I saw all season one on TV and can you guys believe that I couldn't watch season 2 yet? But I will start now that I'm free from school. I hope Nikita get a third season.

3. Lost (2004–2010)

TV-14 | 5,445 min | Adventure, Drama, Fantasy

Stars: Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Yunjin Kim, Evangeline Lilly

Votes: 595,398

Wow Lost, long time no see! I remember that I saw the Lost promos of the first season on ABC and I thought: "This show seems to be really cool" and I was just 10 years old! I always liked Lost since the begginning. It's so good when you watch a tv series where practically almost all the characters are good, with a story to tell us you know? When some of them die you really cry. Many people stopped watching it after season 3, but for me Lost was reaching it's best part. I know some of the misteries wasn't solved, but I still love it.

4. Desperate Housewives (2004–2012)

TV-14 | 45 min | Comedy, Drama, Mystery

Secrets and truths unfold through the lives of female friends in one suburban neighborhood after the mysterious suicide of a neighbor.

Stars: Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria

Votes: 139,802

I really really like this show. I started watching Desperate Housewives on early january 2011 and I loved it! I saw all the first 7 seasons on DVD before june. And now I'm watching season 8 on TV. I'd never thought about that some day I would like to watch a tv series like Desperate Housewives. The show begun to lose some quality in season 5 with the time jump, but for me is still very good. I love so much all the main housewives. Gaby, Bree, Susan, Lynette(Not so much), and Renne(Not so much too). I miss Edie and Katherine too. It's so sad that it's ending.

5. The Walking Dead (2010–2022)

TV-MA | 45 min | Drama, Horror, Thriller

Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.

Stars: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan

Votes: 1,082,423

My top 5 keeps changing. Last year my top 5 would be very different. First I read the comic book of The walking dead and then I read that a tv series based on it was comming up. I love zombies! I love that story of apocalypse too. Besides many differences from the comic book season one was great, but the first half of season 2 was getting slow, with many boring episodes. "Pretty much dead already" fixed some things and I'm waiting february. It's nice that we don't have to worry with cancellation on The Walking Dead. (Not yet)

6. Fringe (2008–2013)

TV-14 | 46 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

An F.B.I. agent is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist and his son in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena.

Stars: Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Jasika Nicole

Votes: 257,545

I had troubles to watch Fringe at the begginning. I saw the first 5 episodes and then I stopped watching it. We have to be patient with the first season of Fringe. The characters are not the problem. No, no. It's just that some episodes of season 1 are really boring. Slow. After I stopped watching it months had passed, I was on vacation from school and one day I looked to my DVDs of Fringe and I thought: What the hack? I watched again and now I'm on the third season, and everything is awesome.

7. V (2009–2011)

TV-14 | 42 min | Drama, Sci-Fi, Thriller

An extraterrestrial race arrives on Earth with seemingly good intentions, only to slowly reveal their true machinations the more ingrained into society they become.

Stars: Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Logan Huffman

Votes: 58,879

V is on seventh position because was cancelled so early. I remember that I was very addicted to the series on season 2, praying for the show to not be cancelled. I know season 1 was very irregular, but second season fixed everything. I watched episode 10 knowing that it would be the last one. ABC cancelled. So sad. I miss Erica and her team, Anna and the V's, Lisa... (At least Tyler is dead)

8. Supernatural (2005–2020)

TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Fantasy, Horror

Two brothers follow their father's footsteps as hunters, fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds, including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth.

Stars: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Jim Beaver, Misha Collins

Votes: 483,318

Supernatural, supernatural... I saw all the six seasons and I'm ready to watch the seventh. This series is behind V just because the sixth season, the first half at least. Thinking again I think the show deserves the eighth position. Everyone was thinking that everything was great when the angels came up on forth season, but it was right there when the show started to fall. I think Supernatural deserves a break. An end.

9. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000–2015)

TV-14 | 60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

In Las Vegas, a squad of forensic investigators are trained to solve crimes by meticulously examining the evidence. They employ advanced technology and their rationality to detect the perpetrators.

Stars: William Petersen, Laurence Fishburne, Ted Danson, George Eads

Votes: 89,139

CSI was awesome until the fifth season. The seventh was nice, but I didn't liked the sixth season. Some episodes of season eighth was nice, but I lost my love on the series. The cases aren't great anymore, and unfortunatly I will not watch the other seasons of the series. Warrick is dead, Grissom is gone, Sara followed him(yeah, I know she's back now). Until 5 months ago I used to think: Well we still have Catherine, but now...

10. Dexter (2006–2013)

TV-MA | 60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

He's smart. He's lovable. He's Dexter Morgan, America's favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and nights committing them.

Stars: Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar

Votes: 766,701

Well, I saw just the first 3 seasons of Dexter and everyone was telling me that the show is awesome, great and outstanding. But the only thing I thought was "ok". The show is ok. Some of you might think right the opposite but not me. The first season was cool and the second too, but I saw just half of the third season and I stopped watching it. Why? I'm not sure, but it's probably because I don't like the main character very much (I like his sister), and also because I had found better tv series to watch.
