this movie was ok. i like wolverine. of course, i miss all my favorite x-men.... wish there could have been more familiar faces. guess it wouldn't have made sense. =P but the plot didn't really make sense to me anyway. old dude steals his powers? how? why? maybe i wasn't paying enough attention. i didn't really care, tho, and didn't care too much about any of the characters... which doesn't help me like a movie. i'm super excited for the next x-men movie, tho!

Votes: 426,298 | Gross: $368.06M

i saw this movie in the theater, i hadn't even seen the first one, i just really wanted to go to the theater and it was the only thing that looked interesting or cute that was out at the time. it was a fun movie to watch! and it didn't matter that i hadn't seen the first one. cute, funny movie with likeable characters.

Votes: 215,174 | Gross: $44.67M

this movie was cute and fun to watch. kinda stupid, but interesting idea.... plus, google is so hip! it's fun to fantasize about working there. doesn't really make sense that they wouldn't have heard of the x-men, tho. hard to believe. =P

Directors: Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen | Stars: James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel

Votes: 435,086 | Gross: $101.47M

heh. this movie was funny and horrible at the same time. stoner movie galore, which i hate but also have to admit is so ridiculous that i can't help but be fascinated and watch, and be at times amused and definitely entertained. i frggin loved the ending---that made the whole movie worth the watch for me. (don't get your expectations up, tho! =D )

Director: Steven Soderbergh | Stars: Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Scott Bakula, Eric Zuckerman

Votes: 45,418

started watching this; saw most of it. but just never got into it because i found the characters so unpleasant and i just had no interest in their lifestyle and couldn't relate at all. not much music, either, for it being about Liberaci.

cute, fun movie---definitely got sucked in and wanted to see what happened. a fun watch but not particularly satisfying ending. the characters were decent but not particularly charming.

Votes: 497,164 | Gross: $228.78M

hehe... i like star trek. i don't even barely remember what this movie was about even tho i watched it recently. all the star treks are the same, to me. luckily i like the kirk character, so i dont really care what i'm watching him do. yep.

Votes: 899,644 | Gross: $409.01M

hmmm... similarly to what i said above about Kirk... I like Iron Man/Robert Downey Jr so much in this series, that i don't really care what happens. just like his personality---quirky (badass) fellow!

9. The Great Gatsby (2013)

Votes: 597,257 | Gross: $144.84M

saw this movie in the theater with my grandma, who's 92 years old! thought she might be into an 'old timey' movie. =P and i think i read this book in high school, altho i may have just cheated and read the cliffnotes or something. =P i know, i'm a mildly horrible person with neither a fantastic memory or vocabulary. and obviously a lazy capitalizer of letter. =P anyway, this movie was entertaining and vivid and visually beautiful... the music was a fun remix of oldtimey music into contemporary dance music. the characters were alright!

10. Oblivion (I) (2013)

Votes: 553,371 | Gross: $89.02M

hmmm... this movie took a long time to even get me hooked in...about 45 min in i got interested, then lost interest again near the end but just finished it out. an interesting idea for a movie. can't say i had any love of the characters.

a delightful surprise of a movie! very creative and entertaining. i think i don't usually like scary movies, but this brought in enough humor and quirkiness that i really liked it. some very sweet moments, and a cute romance aspect. likable characters. interesting main story---i like psychics!

12. Jack the Giant Slayer (2013)

PG-13 | 114 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

Director: Bryan Singer | Stars: Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci, Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy

Votes: 147,062 | Gross: $65.19M

i like this kid from 'warm bodies' so i watched this. plus i like fairy tales, so hey, why not? it was a decent movie, but none of the characters were really strong enough to leave a lasting impression. maybe by now you notice characters are pretty important to me. i gotsta like them!

13. Oz the Great and Powerful (2013)

Director: Sam Raimi | Stars: James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis

Votes: 214,321 | Gross: $234.91M

the first witch he meets.... i didn't like her at all... i don't know if it was her acting, her script or she wasn't directed well, but i think the character just turned out crappy. the main guy was alright to watch tho. didn't care for the actual playout of events, even though the story was interesting. the visuals were beautiful.

Votes: 112,344 | Gross: $8.83M

uh... i will say i watched the whole thing, and definitely paid attention because i was sucked in. but i can't say i liked it. well, they were going for shocking and distasteful, i guess... and that's what it was! i guess it was well made, but i can't say any of it will stick with me in any way.

17. The Way Way Back (2013)

PG-13 | 103 min | Comedy, Drama

68 Metascore

Directors: Nat Faxon, Jim Rash | Stars: Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney, AnnaSophia Robb

Votes: 156,895 | Gross: $21.50M

this movie was a little too depressing for me. the few moments the main character felt joy (maybe there were two short scenes!) were the highlights for me... and that was just too little happiness to break up all the pain and 'shut down' feeling in this movie. just too hard to watch people be so hurt and dead to the joys of life.

18. About Time (I) (2013)

Votes: 386,141 | Gross: $15.32M

this movie was super cute and fun to watch. a real lovey dovey heartwarming romance and life-positive movie. it was pretty amazing to me that the main character was so loving and kind and had such a great sense of humor and positive disposition. i guess i've gotten used to neurotic and emotionally unstable characters in movies!! anyway, very refreshing to watch such an uplifting movie.

Votes: 810,226 | Gross: $61.00M

oh my gosh... i don't recommend this. very intense, i had to fast forward thru some... but i still wanted to see what happened, so it must've been good in that way to have sucked me in and made me want to know how it ended. very disturbing tho and emotionally hard to watch... intense, creepy and did i mention DISTURBING? just don't watch it.

20. We're the Millers (2013)

Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber | Stars: Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, Ed Helms

Votes: 486,340 | Gross: $150.39M

this movie was dumb and kinda funny and fun. i skipped through some cause i just didn't care very much, but watched most of it. it's a fun silly idea for a movie, but nothing i'll be raving about.

21. R.I.P.D. (2013)

Votes: 143,633 | Gross: $33.62M

i liked this movie! i was kinda excited to watch it, mainly for the Jeff Bridges character... and he definitely didn't let me down. this was a funny movie, and ended up reminding me of "Men In Black". I didn't give a hoot about Kevin Bacon or any of the 'bad guys' or even the conflict, really... i just liked the concept and the main characters' relationship.

22. Don Jon (2013)

A New Jersey guy dedicated to his family, friends, and church, develops unrealistic expectations from watching porn and works to find happiness and intimacy with his potential true love.

Director: Joseph Gordon-Levitt | Stars: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Tony Danza

Votes: 247,093 | Gross: $24.48M

hmmm... i didn't really want to watch this, cause i thought i wouldn't like it. i definitely was engaged and watched the entire movie. it was interesting to watch a movie about someone i don't really like as a person, but i still could relate to the themes of the movie and it is somewhat satisfying to watch him grow a bit as a person.
