After Watching Thor and Iron Man, I knew this movie was going to be epic. I just didn't know how epic. In fact I was actually rueing the fact the I would have to sit through a film that is 2-hours in length and only features three good actors (Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Robert Downey Jr.). However, this movie made it to my number 1 slot because of its excellent direction and the quality of special effects. This movie is so great I purchased the Blu-Ray and Combo pack so i could watch it on any reader wherever i go.
In regards to its authenticity to the comic books, it seems to be accurate. Iron Man is still the rich and itelligent playboy. The Hulk still "goes green" when he gets angered. The film is even accurate enough to give Nick Fury his eye patch with same amount of detail needed. The only faults i find in this movie is the fact that if the chamber that held Loki didn't shatter when Thor hit it, even though Thor is a God, possessing enough strength to crush a tree, let alone smash some thick glass.
