Een drieluik. Het derde deel is komisch-surrealistisch: Coco houdt van raves en van de bijbehorende pillen. Tijdens zijn net iets te heftige lsd trip wordt zijn bewustzijn verplaatst naar een pasgeboren baby en vice versa. Hilarisch. Veel films hebben al het predicaat de opvolger van Trainspotting' opgeplakt gekregen. Bij The Acid House is de vergelijking wel zeer op zijn plaats, want hij is net als het trendsettende Trainspotting gebaseerd op een boek van Irvine Welsh, die ook het filmscript voor The Acid House schreef. McGuigan besloot Trainspotting niet te bekijken, om het werk van Welsh onbevangen op eigen wijze te kunnen verbeelden. De verhalenbundel levert drie korte films op, over een stelletje losers in het arme deel van Edinburgh. De Volkskrant vat de verhalen op gepast plastische wijze samen: "De film begint met een vertelling over een luie sul die na een ontmoeting met God in een strontvlieg verandert, in deel twee trouwt een slappe sul met de sloerie van het café, en in het afsluitende deel gaat een sul helemaal uit zijn dak na een overdosis lsd." Trainspotters weten genoeg. Alle bekende elementen zijn present: voetbal, religie, wraak, raves, pillen en veel, veel viezigheid: een triest maar komisch beeld van een zich leeg te pletter genietende generatie. Ook is er weer een flitsende soundtrack met onder meer The Chemical Brothers en zien we verschillende bekende gezichten terug.

Vrienden sinds dat ze klein waren, Adam en Paul. We zullen nooit leren wie wie is en zien twee niet blije maar zeer kans en hopeloze Junkies uit Dublin. Verbonden aan elkaar door gewoontes en nodigheden. Een soort van Laurel & Hardy On Smack. De film volgt deze twee door het gevecht van 1 enkele dag, welke zoals elke andere dag voornamelijk inhoudt proberen geld te scoren voor drugs. Hilarische situaties en hopeloos moeilijk doenerij om maar te kunnen scoren. Verschil in deze film zit dat ze beiden al Rock Bottum zitten. Ze hebben geen geluk meer, die is op. Ze hebben geen krediet meer, nergens! En vrienden blijken al op te zijn. Deze film is zowel hylarisch als diep ernstige realiteit.

Hij raakt zo geobsedeerd door zijn werk dat zijn huwelijk eronder lijdt. Ondertussen worden de resultaten van de experimenten steeds extremer en beginnen uit de hand te lopen. Altered States is moeilijk na te vertellen, want het is vooral een visuele film en hoe! Deze film bezorgt je een 'mind trip' die je niet snel zult vergeten.

Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation; is de laatste toevoeging van de VH1 met Emmy bekroonde Rock Doc series. Hierin zijn interviews te zien waar liefhebbers van het groene gras zoals Snoop Dogg en Cypress Hill, Raekwon en RZA alsook voormalig PCP gebruiker ‘Freeway’ en drug dealer Ricky Ross aan het woord komen.
