Movies I've Seen In The Theater Twice
by TheAnimalMother | created - 09 Mar 2014 | updated - 2 weeks ago | PublicThe reasons why I saw them twice vary, certainly not all of the ones I saw twice when I was young were really by choice, but more so just circumstance. The newest Dune, 3x and the reason for that is simply choice. I also saw the original Lynch Dune twice when I was a kid.
I originally saw Full Metal Jacket back in 87 with my Father, and I saw it again in 2017 with my girlfriend during a 30th anniversary run. Same with Saving Private Ryan I saw once during it's original run and once just last year I think it was. The rest I saw all twice during their original runs. There are definitely a few I'm forgetting too. Can't remember if I saws Silence of the Lambs once or twice. I think maybe only once, so I left it off the list.
The original Jaws I saw on an anniversary run a few years back, then again recently in the summer of 2022, when it was re-released for the 1st time in 3D. If you've never seen Jaws on the big screen, I will tell you this. It is still very much worth it.
I've now also seen the re-release of Avatar in 2022, and once on it's original run.
