I was still struggling to picture anyone as Elaida at this point. But I didn't like her for sure :)

I just cast her upon my re-read of book 4, so I can't say much about her

Alviarin Freidhen, Aes Sedai of the White Ajah

She just looks the part for me. I think she's a great choice

Teslyn Baradon, Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah

Originally Tilda Swinton, and then re-cast as Kerry Washington, but I wasn't happy with either of those. Being from Illian, she would be darker than Tilda is (who is a great choice otherwise), so here ya go

Joline Maza, Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah

Thin and beautiful. Evageline is both. And she fits for me

Shemerin Sedai, Yellow Ajah

I honestly feel like I cast Adele as someone else later in the series, but oh well...

Javindhra Doraille, Sitter for the Red Ajah

She can be harsh, and she has an angular face. She'll do

Evanellein Sedai, Gray Ajah

Such a minor character, and not extensively described, but she'll do for now

Andaya Forae, Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah

Closest I can find for this minor Aes Sedai character

The more I use him on these lists as Fain, the more I like him

What can i say about her that i haven't said in other lists? She was always Lanfear for me

Was Sean Bean for awhile, but I realized he would make a great Lews Therin instead, so Brad it is!

She is the most perfect actress to play this part. Hands down

Min Farshaw

Probably one of the main reasons people don't like her for Min is her red hair. Oh well...

Siuan Sanche, former Amyrlin Seat (Stilled)

Eva is probably too beautiful to play Siuan as she's "not quite beautiful but beyond handsome."

Leane Sharif, former Keeper of Chronicles (Stilled)

My current choice for Leane is the closest I found during my re-reads

I did not immediately picture Russell as Bryne, but I think by the end of this book I did

I know that I've always pictured him as Logain. I still think he's great for the role upon re-read

Used to have her as an Aes Sedai, but I wanted to put her here upon my re-read

I know in the next few books is when I started picturing him as Tallanvor

I changed her from Uma Thurman during my re-read of this book, so this is how I'll picture her from now on.

At this point, we know Gaebril is Rhavin in disguise. This guy has the look for him too

Rand al'Thor, The Dragon Reborn

After seeing him as Rand for the entire series, it's hard to picture anyone else now

Moiraine Damodred, Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah

Rand first sees her from high up, but that counts as an appearance, so I'm adding her here

I just like him in this role

Lan Mandragoran

I found him as Slayer on another list, and realized he was SOOO close to Lan for me

It's getting easier to picture him in this role as I go along

Just give him grayish/redish hair, and he would be perfect

Jheran, Clan chief of the Shaarad Aiel

Needed someone "blade-thin and quick" and I think Hugh can pull that look off

Han, Clan Chief of the Tomanelle Aiel

Just started using him last book

Bruan, Clan Chief of the Nakai Aiel

At one point, Arnold was "big enough for two blacksmiths" and I just can't think of anyone else

He's a good enough fit for me

I'm still amazed at how close she is to Daenerys after watching GoT w/ my wife. Perfect pick IMO

I remember by this point, he was firmly planted in my mind as Asmodean

She's a close enough match to the character for me

Enaila, Maiden of the Spear, Jarra Sept of the Chareen Aiel

She's 5'3" (really short for an Aiel) and her hair is ridiculously "fiery" red.

Yeah, I know I'm still the only person who likes him as Mat. And yeah, his eyes are wrong. Oh well

I don't remember who I saw on first read, but my go-to thievery list had the best choice. So I'm a thief again! :P

Aviendha was one of the characters I didn't picture an actress until almost the end of the series

I used to have Kat Dennings in this role, but I found a better Isendre. She has dark eyes, heart-shaped face, and is pretty

I know for awhile I didn't picture Bair as anyone, but then I remembered her from the Matrix Trilogy

Melaine, Wise One of the Jhirad Sept, Goshien Aiel

I know i never really did picture anyone as Melaine either. I might change her eventually

Amys, Wise One of the Nine Valleys Sept, Taardad Aiel

For awhile I was trying to picture Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet from Lost), but Cate is PERFECT

Nynaeve al'Meara, Accepted of the White Tower

She's not popular for Nynaeve, and too tall, but oh well...

Juilin Sandar

Hair needs to be flat, but I think he can pull this role off nicely

Thom Merrilin

He's an excellent actor, and the more I read him as Thom, the more I like him

Elayne Trakand, Accepted of the White Tower

I really feel like she has the beauty to portray Elayne. More than Amanda Seyfried IMO

Dark hair and handsome. Such a minor character. I might re-cast if I wanna use Michelle elsewhere

I'm pretty sure upon 1st read I saw Orlando Bloom in this role w/out looking at another list

At this point, I don't see me changing Galad to anyone else. Ben fits really well

Another minor casting role, but he does show up later in the series, so I cast him

I don't remember who I pictured upon 1st read, but I definitely pictured her lighter-skinned

She may not be as accurate at the moment, but she fit the description really well at one point

Yeah, she's WAY too young to be Sulin, but her hair in the Matrix is what originally came to mind... I just picture her as an old lady, and the image is perfect for Sulin

I never did cast Sorilea upon 1st read, so this was tough. Not as skinny as Sorilea either. Plus I've found I don't really see her like this as I read her, but if I had to see Sorilea in a move, she would probably do the best job

She's not as physically strong as some other choices, but she did well in Vikings (what I saw of it)

Marin al'Vere

Sorry she's not the popular choice, but she's easy enough for me to imagine w/ a gray braid

I think we hear him laugh when Egwene is in Emmonds Field in Tel'aran'rhiod. Excuse enough!!!
