TV-14 | 4,576 min | Comedy, Drama, Romance

Stars: Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris

STATUS: Ended; Completed Watching

The great thing about HIMYM is that it will keep you hooked at the very first episode alone. It started really strong with laugh-out-loud humor and perfect chemistry on the characters. Season 1 has plenty of awesome and brilliantly-written episodes. Season 2 was even more an improvement because the majority of the episodes were brilliantly-written, especially the “Slap Bet” episode. This is my favorite season of this show. Season 3 was somewhat slightly dropped at the greatness of Season 2 but the magic is still there. Season 4 is a real comeback. Season 5 was my second favorite season of this show. Season 6 was not really my favorite. Some episodes of that season were lame and were lacking the greatness from the previous seasons. Season 7 was better than Season 6 but it was still, as I said, lacking the greatness from the previous seasons. Season 8 has a strong first half and a decent second half. Season 9 was, to be honest, the weakest season of HIMYM for me (and I think most people do too). The idea of squeezing the whole Barney and Robin’s wedding plot in this season was a failure. It has good and bad episodes (but mostly bad). But the most shocking thing is, and this may sound totally unpopular, but I kinda loved the finale of this show. Hate on me all you want but the ending was unexpected, shocking but at the same time, understandable and impressive. Another thing, what I really like about this film is the constant use of flashback and flashforward. It reminded me slightly of Arrested Development but without the narration. And also Barney Stinson. And Robin Sparkles. Still, this is my all-time favorite sitcom. I binge-watch this maybe like ten times now. It still never gets old.

Overall Score: 10/10

2. How to Get Away with Murder (2014–2020)

TV-14 | 43 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

A group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defense professor become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives.

Stars: Viola Davis, Billy Brown, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King

Votes: 166,646

STATUS: Still watching Season 3

This is also my favorite one! This show is full of twists after twists after twists and then after twists and its neverending. Viola Davis' brilliant performance shines on this one and all of the characters were very well-written and fun to watch. I like the cases every week and then the story plot overall. The show was brilliantly executed, with all the non-linear narrative sequences, flashbacks and the likes. The story is well-paced and well-delivered. Season 1 was the best season of all. Season 2 was also great and the same with Season 3 but Season 1 was totally the best! Don't cancel this show, ABC! This is one serial drama that every episode isn't boring to watch. You'll get hooked by its suspense and mystery.

Score: 10/10

3. A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017–2019)

TV-PG | 1,164 min | Adventure, Comedy, Drama

After the loss of their parents in a mysterious fire, the three Baudelaire children face trials and tribulations attempting to uncover dark family secrets.

Stars: Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Warburton, Malina Pauli Weissman, Louis Hynes

Votes: 66,744

STATUS: Still waiting for Season 2

Can I just say that this is better than the movie? The movie was a disappointment but this one? Nah. It's far from disappoint. Netflix served the recipe right! Though I must say that Jim Carrey was pretty convincing as Count Olaf than Neil Patrick Harris but NPH can also pull off the Olaf-style so I'll give him that. The child actors were also brilliant. I must say that I like them more than the child actors from the movie. Also, I think it's a great idea to have two episodes based on each book. Every episode is nothing but dismay but there's dark humour thrown every episode so I think that's great. Can't wait for Season 2!

Score: 10/10

4. The Flash (2014–2023)

TV-PG | 43 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

After being struck by lightning, Barry Allen wakes up from his coma to discover he's been given the power of super speed, becoming the Flash, and fighting crime in Central City.

Stars: Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes

Votes: 368,176

STATUS: Still waiting for the next episode of Season 3

One of the coolest, amazing and awesome show I've ever watched! The Flash didn't disappoint you from start to finish. Though the early season 1 was trying to find its legs but after its episode 15 aired, it gets better! The Flash is probably my favorite DC superhero and I also loved all of the characters if the show, especially Dr. Harrison Wells and Cisco. It's light, fun and complex. The multiple-earth storyline was brilliant and the only thing that's been bothering me is that it got too many speedters from Kid Flash to Jessie Quick to Zoom to Savitar... okay, maybe The Flash isn't really the fastest man alive. Haha. Another thing, as the series progresses, the episodes and storyline became more and more interesting.. and I loved it!

Score: 10/10

5. Fringe (2008–2013)

TV-14 | 46 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

An F.B.I. agent is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist and his son in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena.

Stars: Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Jasika Nicole

Votes: 257,458

STATUS: Still watching Season 1

At first viewing, I thought that the episodes were fun to watch but overall, I did not get the show's plot at all 'cause it's too complicated and I had to stop after watching all episodes of season 1. But after some time (maybe months), I decided to watch this again and suck the story's plot all over my brain and you know what... it's the best thing I've seen on television. I haven't seen The X Files yet so I can't compare these two 'cause I heard these both shows were similar. So, Fringe is probably one of the best sci-fi shows on television. Every episode is complex yet interesting. The characters were spectacular especially Walter 'cause he's funny but I did find Joshua Jackson's character annoying. You know what, I will start binge-watching this if I have the time.

Score: 10/10

6. Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

TV-MA | 60 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

Nine noble families fight for control over the lands of Westeros, while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for millennia.

Stars: Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey

Votes: 2,283,772

STATUS: Still waiting for Season 7

I understand the hype of this show because it was totally awesome. Tyrion, Daenerys and Arya were my favorite characters on the show. The cinematography, the costumes, props, visual effects and the writing and direction were superb! Also, I really LOVED the opening title sequence of the show and the music makes it even more beautiful. What works in "Game of Thrones" is the extensive storyline, with multiple houses working against one another or with one another all in order to obtain power, wealth and the crown to the realm. The white-walker storyline also did not disappoint. I have to admit it took me on season 3 that this is going to be my favorite show. My favorite season is probably Season 4 and Season 5. Also the countless of complex and detailed characters that are in the series, that is just spectacular. You’ll be begging for more after each episode. Go HOUSE STARK!

Score: 10/10

7. Prison Break (2005–2017)

TV-14 | 44 min | Action, Crime, Drama

A structural engineer installs himself in a prison he helped design, in order to save his falsely accused brother from a death sentence by breaking themselves out from the inside.

Stars: Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper

Votes: 579,235

STATUS: Still finding the time to watch Season 2

A nail-biting suspense, Prison Break is fun to binge-watched all of the episodes because it got plenty of twists that got you hooked from the very beginning. Wentworth Miller is amazing. So did the others actors do. It's got creative plot, brilliant-written characters and smooth direction. Oh and the actual prison break scene, very very intense! The characters were interesting, having their own unique backgrounds. The character of Michael was genius! It's fun to watch him solve problems and creating a strategy. Overall, I was not disappointed by this.

Score: 10/10

8. Modern Family (2009–2020)

TV-PG | 22 min | Comedy, Drama, Romance

Three different, but related, families face trials and tribulations in their own uniquely comedic ways.

Stars: Ed O'Neill, Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell

Votes: 483,367

STATUS: Still finding the time to watch Season 4

This show was, to be honest, hilarious. Loved all of the characters and the families, especially the Dunphy family which I think is the best part of the show. The other families were great, as well. But I also noticed that it uses the same humour style and that is the misunderstanding scene. Well, anyway, I also loved those kind of humor. Haha. I'm trying to find the time to watch Season 4.

Score: 10/10

9. The Walking Dead (2010–2022)

TV-MA | 45 min | Drama, Horror, Thriller

Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.

Stars: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan

Votes: 1,081,689

STATUS: Still waiting for the next episode of Season 7

My favorite TV serial of all time. The pilot was so strong it made me want to watch the entire seasons and boy, did I not regret that. The character development was impressive. Like, at first, you loved this character but as the series went on, that character became more and more unlikable and vice versa. I loved it because that is a great sign for a great TV show. I also liked the fact that they don't just focus too well on the zombie concept but focuses more on the human nature concept of the film. It does not focus too much on violence (well there are times) but I think the show focuses too well on the character development, which I think is brilliant. There are plenty of characters in this show that I loved, from Michonne and Carol to Maggie and Glenn and you know what? I loved all the characters. It's hard to mention all of them. There are also unexpected twists and turns which I loved. Man, I can't wait for the next episode!

Score: 10/10

10. Black Mirror (2011– )

TV-MA | 60 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

Featuring stand-alone dramas -- sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales that explore techno-paranoia -- "Black Mirror" is a contemporary reworking of "The Twilight Zone" with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world.

Stars: Wunmi Mosaku, Monica Dolan, Daniel Lapaine, Hannah John-Kamen

Votes: 639,780

STATUS: Still going to watch the remaining episodes

I've watched the episodes in non-chronological order. Don't worry, the episodes were anthological. This show is weird, to be honest. Though I really liked the idea and its premise on how they satire the people and the modern technology. The first episode was utterly disturbing but the remaining episodes were brilliant. It can be a paranoia to some but it was worth it.

Score: 10/10

11. Arrested Development (2003–2019)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy

Level-headed son Michael Bluth takes over family affairs after his father is imprisoned. But the rest of his spoiled, dysfunctional family are making his job unbearable.

Stars: Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett

Votes: 324,152

STATUS: Still watching Season 1

My newest addiction! Love all of the characters on the show. From Michael to Gob, they're all frickin' hilarous. I love the humor, the writing, the story, everything! It's like a treat! I also loved the creativity of each episodes and the mockumentary style was also brilliant. I'm still on season 1 but oh boy, this show was already strong and I can sense that as the seasons went on, it become more and more interesting.

Score: 10/10

12. Community (2009–2015)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy

A suspended lawyer is forced to enroll in a community college with an eccentric staff and student body.

Stars: Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Donald Glover, Chevy Chase

Votes: 293,412

STATUS: Ended; Completed Watching

One of my favorite sitcom! Though I admit the early season 1 episodes were a bit weak but it totally gets better as you watch on and on. The dialogue was smart and crisp and delicious. I also loved the interesting concepts on each episode. If they want to make a parody on Glee, well there you go. If they want a homage to the gangster films, well there you go. Almost every episodes were out-of-genre and they were killing it (in a good way). I loved all of the characters and not all of them I despised, though Chang was a bit annoying, he's still a fun character to watch. The show was funny from season 1 up to season 4 but after that, it went downhill. Though there are some brilliant episodes in season 5 and 6, the absence of some of the recurring members makes the show somewhat unwatchable at times because you can't help but miss them and the additional characters were... meh. The last season was the weakest of all but I did kinda liked the finale. And I hope they would make a movie sooner or later.

Score: 9.5/10

13. 13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)

TV-MA | 60 min | Drama, Mystery, Thriller

Follows teenager Clay Jensen, in his quest to uncover the story behind his classmate and crush, Hannah, and her decision to end her life.

Stars: Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro, Alisha Boe

Votes: 315,451

STATUS: Still watching Season 1

I've read the book before they announced they wanted to make a series out of this so I'm damn excited when they turn this into a TV series. Actually, this is far better than the books, so far. What I like about it is that it's really a harsh reality of highschool. So, great job!

Score: 9.5/10

14. Breaking Bad (2008–2013)

TV-MA | 45 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller

A chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with a former student in order to secure his family's future.

Stars: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt

Votes: 2,135,602

STATUS: Ended; Completed Watching

I also loved this show. The writing was outstanding and the characters were great, especially Jesse Pinkman and Skyler White. For most people, they hated Skyler White because she's an annoying bitch. Well, people are totally blind about Skyler's reasons and motivation regarding her family's protection and her husband. She's in fact my favorite character in the show. Bryan Cranston as Walter White was impressive also. I totally hated his character during the pilot and it goes on. Jesse Pinkman was another outstanding character. Aaron Paul really deserves his Emmys because I really loved watching him as a drug addict burnout. The show also had its little dark humor and epic quotes which I think is great. My favorite episode would probably "Ozymandias" because it was so frickin' intense. Though, I was kinda disappointed a little bit on the finale. But overall, this show was totally epic!

Score: 9.5/10

15. Friends (1994–2004)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy, Romance

Follows the personal and professional lives of six twenty to thirty year-old friends living in the Manhattan borough of New York City.

Stars: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc

Votes: 1,087,877

STATUS: Ended; Completed Watching

Not better than HIMYM, but boy, this is a funny show! I loved all the characters especially Phoebe, Chandler and Joey. Phoebe's funny songs, Chandler's sarcasm, Joey's struggling actor life, Ross' awkwardness, Monica's obsessiveness and Rachel's lively attitude. You know what? I kinda hate Rachel at first few seasons but in later seasons, she's becoming one of my favorite characters on the show. Also, the ending was totally heart-wrenching but I expected much more. Maybe it's me but I think the reason why I prefered HIMYM than Friends is because I watched HIMYM first and then later this. Maybe, I expected too much but oh well. But hey I'm not saying I hate this show, actually, this is one of my favorites.

Score: 9.5/10

16. Stranger Things (2016–2025)

Stars: Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour

Votes: 1,335,628

STATUS: Still waiting for Season 2

I binge-watched this in just 2 days... and it was epic. Though it was short, I still not want this series to end. Every minute, there's suspense and drama that will build up. I really loved Winona Ryder's performance. And can I say Eleven is really cool? And the child actors, wow they were terrific especially Toothless haha. I can't wait for season 2!

Score: 9.5/10

TV-PG | 60 min | Comedy, Family, Sci-Fi

A group of aliens is sent to Earth, disguised as a human family, to experience and report life on the third planet from the sun.

Stars: John Lithgow, Jane Curtin, Kristen Johnston, French Stewart

Votes: 55,705

STATUS: HIATUS; Still finding the time to watch the remaining episodes of Season 1

The show's idea was great. A group of aliens disguises as a human family? The premise was intriguing so I decided to check this one out and it was great!!! John Lithgow's performance was a spot-on! All of the characters and the actors portraying it were all terrific! Every episode, there's too much humor and I loved it! Though I stopped watching this when I loose track of where I was in season 1 but I knew I was going to come back and watch this again in the near future.

Score: 9.5/10

18. Sherlock (2010–2017)

TV-14 | 90 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

The quirky spin on Conan Doyle's iconic sleuth pitches him as a "high-functioning sociopath" in modern-day London. Assisting him in his investigations: Afghanistan War vet John Watson, who's introduced to Holmes by a mutual acquaintance.

Stars: Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Una Stubbs, Rupert Graves

Votes: 997,952

STATUS: Still finding the time to watch Season 4

Man, this show was awesome! Benedict Cumberbatch portrayal of Sherlock Holmes was cool and so did Martin Freeman's portrayal of John Watson too. I binge-watched the entire season 1 episode in just 1 day and I WANT MORE. I love the mystery, the suspense and also the humor which is a bit refreshing. Now, to be honest, I don't really love the Sherlock Holmes movies but this one... I LOVED IT! I also loved how each episode is an hour and a half long. You just not want this to stop.

Score: 9/10

19. 30 Rock (2006–2013)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy

Stars: Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer

Votes: 131,969

STATUS: Still watching Season 5

Tina Fey is hilarious! I can't stop watching this show. The ensemble were superb and most episodes were fun to watch. I can compare the dialogue of this show from Community because they were all smart and delicious. Various celebrities guest stars on this show and it's pretty fun and it constantly pokes and parodies the Hollywood life which I think it's brilliant. 30 Rock's my favorite LOL.

Score: 8/10

20. Arrow (2012–2020)

TV-14 | 42 min | Action, Adventure, Crime

Stars: Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Susanna Thompson

Votes: 446,008

STATUS: Still watching Season 2

Not as great as The Flash but it's fine. Season 2 was improving, btw. What I like about this show is it's characters and their development. That's the best thing.

Score: 8/10

21. Glee (2009–2015)

TV-PG | 44 min | Comedy, Drama, Music

A group of ambitious misfits try to escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club headed by a passionate Spanish teacher.

Stars: Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Cory Monteith

Votes: 155,455

STATUS: Still watching Season 4

I've remembered that I boycotted this show after season 3 because I hate the storylines when Ryan Murphy decided to focus more on his American Horror Story than this. But after some time, I decided to watch this again. I still remember that I loved this show so much. Starting from season 1, I think it's the best teen show on television. Season 2 was also great but it was lacking. Season 3 was okay but not that season 1 and 2 great. My only criticism is that every episode it focuses too much on Rachel, Kurt, Blaine and Santana and it became annoying. Though I admit I still listen to their songs everyday because it's the only best thing on this show - the music.

Score: 7.5/10

22. Smallville (2001–2017)

TV-PG | 60 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

A young Clark Kent struggles to find his place in the world as he learns to harness his alien powers for good and deals with the typical troubles of teenage life in Smallville, Kansas.

Stars: Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, Kristin Kreuk

Votes: 138,052

STATUS: HIATUS: Somewhere in late Season 2

Though I can find this show corny, it's still fun to watch. I almost stopped watching this show because the first two episodes were lame and boring but luckily, I still watched this and it became better and better. Season 2 just keep getting better and better, to say it again. The characters were fine except Lana Lang. Man, she's dull and annoying.

Score: 7.5/10

23. Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000)

Loved it. The characters were great and my favorite episode probably be "Kim Kelly is My Friend". I really don't like the season finale but since this show was canceled after its first season, well I think that was the closure.

Score: 6.5/10

24. Workaholics (2011–2017)

Stars: Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, Maribeth Monroe

Votes: 56,219

STATUS: HIATUS; Still finding the time to watch Season 3

Dark but funny. The trio were funny but sometimes can be unlikable. I gave this show a hiatus-status after I finished season 2. I must say that season 1 was not really that funny and the humor was later improved in season 2.

Score: 6/10

25. Scream Queens (2015–2016)

TV-14 | 45 min | Comedy, Horror, Mystery

A semi-anthology series that centers on characters being terrorized by a serial killer in different locations, including a university and a hospital.

Stars: Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer

Votes: 46,475

STATUS: BOYCOTTED after Season 2

I should've boycotted this after season 1 but with the pressure of my friends saying that the season 2 is better, I gave it another chance and I swear, after watching a couple of episodes, I will boycott this. This show is utterly silly! It says it pokes fun at the horror genre but I think they failed to deliver it. The killer was totally obvious from start to finish and don't get me started at the episode finale. Seriously, it was unsatisfying to watch. But you know what? Believe it or not, I kinda liked this one a little bit. This is kinda like my guilty pleasure. It's just campy fun even though it's terrible. I think I find season 2 better than season 1 but the ending... oh the ending... it is still terrible.

Score: 2/10

26. True Detective (2014– )

TV-MA | 60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

Anthology series in which police investigations unearth the personal and professional secrets of those involved, both within and outside the law.

Stars: Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch

Votes: 656,295

STATUS: BOYCOTTED after Season 1

I only watched the first season of this show. I liked the tone of this series. I liked its cinematography, the characters and the actors portraying it... but this show was boring. TOO BORING. Not my cup of tea, I suppose. There's not a lot going on. I understand that this show isn't really trying to be an "action-packed" but c'mon. The final reveal wasn't really that interesting. It got no twist whatsoever. Sorry not sorry. I'm not even going to watch Season 2.

Score: 1.5/10

27. Portlandia (2011–2018)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy

Stars: Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone

Votes: 245,477

STATUS: BOYCOTTED after watching half of Season 1

This is one of the most unfunny sitcoms I've ever seen. I can't even finish season 1 because most episodes are unfunny, it's bad. I stopped watching after episode 14 or 13(?) y'know what? I can't remember. But I'm pretty sure I will never have to see this again.

Score: 1/10

29. Boy Meets World (1993–2000)
