Clear Throaters

His habit of clearing his throat is very annoying and it's getting worse. Between his quips and clear throating, subtitles with the sound off are the only solution to keep me watching NCIS LA.

His clear throating makes him feel insecure as an actor. And from season 7 onwards of NCIS LA, he's worse and in urgent need of lozenges. Due to his strong disposition to clear throat, I will not watch any other TV series with him. On season 12, I though he'd gone, but of episode 6 he came back worse than ever :(

Good actor but another one who can't act without this bad habit.

My preferred actor in Arrow until season 3. Then he turned into a clear throater til the end of the series.

Actresses aren't as bad as actors but Joanne Kelly also practices this bad habit from time to time. Improved after the 2nd season of Warehouse 13.

As good as he may be as an actor he's also a clear throater at least in one episode of Eureka. Not much in Warehouse 13.

This problem is mainly noticed in the series Chuck.

In John Doe he was clearing his throat a lot. Less so in other series.

Doesn't seem to know how to act without often clearing his throat. The TV series Eureka is an example.

I like the series Lost Girl. I don't like Ksenia's clearing her throat. However, she lost this habit after the 2nd season.

In one single episode of Roswell (1999), she cleared her throat so many times I wasn't sure she could act. I've seen her in another series and she was better.

The Highlander is such a good TV series. Pity that its main character often clear-throats.

In Psych sometimes he's funny but also an irritating clear throater, which cancels his sense of humor. On Psych 708 he went crazy with his clear throating bad habit. An actor who clear throats, is not a top level performer.

In the later episodes of Warehouse 13, Allison Scagliotti, started to develop this bad habit. I hope it was some transitory thing. That's how promising actresses and actors become unwatchable.

Not sure about other characters in other films or TV series, but his voice over (clear-throating) in the role of Kristoff, in Frozen II, was unbearable!

In Hung S03E01, in little more than 20 minutes there was Thomas Jane clearing his throat several times for no reason. Some actors can't act.

I don't understand why some actors need to use this awful bad habit. Tom Pelphrey's performance on the Iron Fist TV series, is filled with clear throating.

CSI NY is a great TV series and most of their actors do not practice clear throating. Carmine Giovinazzo is the exception. Not too much but enough to appear in this list.

At the start of the episode CSY NY 702, A.J. Buckley cleared his throat four times in the space of only 50 seconds. It's inexcusable! But it didn't stop there. He often clears his throat in other episodes. Needs re-training.
