A Fish Called Wanda will be available on Blu-ray October 3rd from Arrow Video
In 1988, John Cleese, former Python and the mastermind behind Fawlty Towers, teamed up with the veteran Ealing Comedy director Charles Crichton (The Lavender Hill Mob) to produce another classic of British comedy.
Cleese plays Archie Leach, a weak-willed barrister who finds himself embroiled with a quartet of ill-matched jewel thieves – two American con artists played by Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Kline, Michael Palin’s animal-loving hitman and London gangster Tom Georgeson – when Georgeson is arrested. Only he and Palin know the whereabouts of the diamonds, prompting plenty of farce and in-fighting as well as some embarrassing nudity and the unfortunate demise of some innocent pooches…

Today was a busy day for some of the smaller guilds with the Visual Effects Society, the Cinema Audio Society, and the Makeup and Hairstylists Guilds all announcing their nominations for 2013.
First, we have the Ves, whose main category to look at is “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture,” where we find Gravity and four other nominees that are just going to have to be happy with the fact that they got nominated. This is perhaps the easiest category to call in the entirety of awards season, and I don’t mean just here, but for the Oscar as well (Last year’s winner, Life of Pi, easily took this category before going on to claim the Oscar). It’s true that films like The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Star Trek Into Darkness had outstanding effects as well, but nothing even came close to the amazing,...

"Game of Thrones" picked up six Primetime Emmys ahead of Sunday's main event, all honoring seven episodes, as the HBO series gears up for what it hopes to be a big night on Sept. 23. The creative Emmys are typically handed out a week before the live televised event, and it was "Game of Thrones" leading the way. As Dread Central's resident awards show junkie, I'm happy to report that while horror didn't make a super strong showing in this year's Emmy Awards nominations, it did make a respectable one. Read on for the full list of genre nominees, including a few that, while not pure horror, are definitely DC fan favorites.

Those of you who saw The Graham Norton Show on March 11 will recall Liam Neeson arriving late after dashing from Shepperton Studios where he was filming for the Clash of the Titans sequel.
So it's not exactly a surprise that Warner Bros now tells us that production on the project is 'under way.'
An official announcement from Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures does give us some new information though, revealing the full cast and story outline. Notably, the movie no longer appears to be called Wrath of the Titans, with the wording Clash of the Titans 2 instead used on the press statement.
Clash of the Titans 2 is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) and features returning stars Sam Worthington as Perseus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades and Liam Neeson as Zeus. Danny Huston also reprises his role as Poseidon, who was seen only briefly in the first film.

If you enjoyed Clash of the Titans, the remake not the original, then Jonathan Liebesman’s sequel – Clash of the Titans 2 – is now officially under way and being filmed. James Franco and Javier Bardem may not have joined the cast as originally touted but British thesp Bill Nighy as along with Danny Huston definitely have. We’re not sure why Wrath of the Titans has been replaced with the generic Clash 2, but it’s rubbish anyway.
Below is the full press release plus a synopsis and you might as well know it’s another post-conversion 3D job. Boo sucks to that!

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures has recently announced that production has officially started for for Clash of the Titans 2. Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson are all back to reprise their roles. We reported earlier that the sequel to Clash of the Titans would be Wrath of the Titans, but that new title is no where to be seen in this press release, so maybe they haven't settled on an official name yet.
I wish I could be more excited about this sequel, but the first film was so bad I honestly have no desire to watch this one. What do you think?
Here's the full synopsis for the film:
A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius.

Just last week, we told you about Warner Bros. Pictures and their apparent fear of putting their Gods in the forthcoming sequel to Clash of the Titans up against Lionsgate’s big-screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and moving the release date for Wrath of the Titans, directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles, Odysseus) from March 23rd to March 30th, 2012.
Now, we have the official press release announcing the start of principal photography, and something interesting I noticed is the fact that the press release is still calling it Clash of the Titans 2, rather than the Wrath of the Titans, which was confirmed as the title by actor Liam Neeson back in December. Has the studio changed their mind on the title, or do they still think it’s a secret?
Check out the press release below for all the details.

Principal photography has begun on Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ epic action adventure sequel to “Clash of the Titans,” being directed by Jonathan Liebesman (“Battle: Los Angeles”). Returning to star in the film are Sam Worthington (“Avatar”) as Perseus, and Academy Award® nominees Ralph Fiennes (“The English Patient,” the “Harry Potter” films) as Hades and Liam Neeson (“Schindler’s List,” “Unknown”) as Zeus. A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago,...
