Alexis Michelle knows she has some explaining to do to fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. The former Season 9 queen, now the latest eliminated from All Stars Season 8, tussled some fan feathers when eliminating Lala Ri in Episode 8. The surprising elimination came one week after Lala won the Episode 7 challenge and after she had saved Alexis from going home that night. When Episode 8’s sewing challenge came around, Lala asked Alexis to return the favor by saving her from being cut from the competition. Alexis said she would never forget Lala’s kindness but sent her packing that night anyway. TV Insider caught up with Alexis following her elimination in All Stars Season 8 Episode 9. Here, she explains why she sent Lala home, what really happened in that Werk Room disagreement that led to Heidi N Closet leaving the competition ...

Lala Ri says she should have seen Alexis Michelle‘s betrayal coming on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8. The drag queen went through major whiplash after winning the Episode 7 challenge and lip-sync, and then being swiftly eliminated in Episode 8. It was made worse given that Lala’s elimination wasn’t due to poor performance. She was in the bottom two with Kandy Muse following the sewing challenge, and while her Season 13 sewing challenge elimination is one of the most memorable in Drag Race history, this challenge was a redemption arc for the competitor. Her dress, while imperfect, held its own. And she thought she could rely on Alexis, whom she had saved from elimination in Episode 7. To pay her back for the save, Alexis promised to reciprocate the kindness should she win the Episode 8 challenge and lip-sync. Alexis did, indeed, take home that week’s top prizes, but she...

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s sixth episode, Bianca’s fellow New York City legend and friend of nearly 20 years Peppermint shares her thoughts about “Joan: The Unauthorized Rusical.” Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the episode, Peppermint said that she actually likes when alliances form in all star seasons, but Bianca took issue with Kandy Muse changing up the rules of going by track record when she made her elimination decision this week. They also discussed that Jimbo is the clear front runner after getting her third challenge win and that Kahanna Montrese is on thin ice based on track record alone. Peppermint thinks that at the start of the competition the queens should go by...

“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 continued on June 9 with the sixth episode streaming on Paramount+. Airing concurrently with the main show is its Werk Room-focused sister series “Untucked,” now in its 5th season for the “All Stars” franchise. This season, the eliminated queens have the opportunity to compete in the “Fame Games,” an online and social media component to the competition where fans will vote for a queen to win the $50,000 cash prize up for grabs.
In episode 6 of “Untucked,” the 7 remaining queens reflected on the latest challenge and discussed the upcoming elimination. That decision could be in the hands of the group vote among the safe queens or solely in the hands of the week’s top performer, Kandy Muse, if she won the lip sync against the secret assassin Angeria Paris VanMichaels. In last week’s episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars season eight we saw Lala Ri and Heidi N Closet really shine as the bumbling duo of inexperience criminals and Jimbo claim the win after performing as an unhindered character dragged into a murderous rampage after being bullied by some popular girls in school! Jimbo keeps up her streak of losing every single lip-sync she had ever competed in on the show as we see the return of Shannel all the way from season one! I do have to say that the performance itself was fairly repetitive with the returning assassin twirling and Jimbo head-banging throughout! We sadly had to say farewell to Darienne Lake after Alexis Michelle essentially blamed the whole team’s shortcomings on her as the dead celebrity island was initially Darienne’s idea. I thought that while the idea was hers initially there was plenty...

There are many challenges that without a doubt occur at some point in any season of Drag Race. Whether that be a songwriting challenge, the snatch game or (most importantly for the most recent episode) a design challenge where the queens have to create unique outfits in the werk-room. One of the biggest storylines going into this season was that infamous bag dress created by Lala Ri in her original season and how she would cope with a design challenge when she was invited back for All-Stars eight. She showcased incredible growth with her handmade outfit this time but the best dresses award was reserved for Jessica Wilde who also won the preceding lip-sync to gain a $30,000 cash tip in the process! My favourite outfit from this episode would have to be Jessica’s diary queen outfit which was a gorgeous white gown with cascading fruit loops scattered around the dress!

Following Friday’s fifth episode, season 14 Miss Congeniality Kornbread Jeté makes her series debut to give us their thoughts on a “messy” episode of “Snatch Game of Love.” Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap, Kornbread thought that queens who won their original “Snatch Game” competitions had the bigger task to live up to the expectation and queens who hadn’t competed in it before, like Lala Ri, were in a better position to perform well. Kornbread never got to do “Snatch Game” herself and told Bianca that she had planned to perform as Leslie Jordan or the Tiger King. Heidi N Closet just committed one of reality TV’s most common, most annoying sins.
Prior to hitting the runway in Episode 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8, the sweet-and-supple queen revealed herself to be in possession of “tea that will burn this competition down,” implying that “a lot of these girls are going to end up hating each other” once the truth is revealed. At the end of last week’s episode, we sadly learnt that former Mrs Continental, Naysha Lopez, would sadly be leaving the competition after Jimbo tried (and failed) to get her revenge on her from Drag Race UK vs The World with the returning lip-sync assassin Pangina Heels! After what can only be described as a fairly one-sided battle, it was revealed that the group had decided that it was Natasha’s time to leave which meant that the other bottom queen Kahana Montrese would get another chance this season. It was when the actual votes were revealed however that we saw our first glimpses of drama from this season of returning queens after Jessica explained that the reason she voted for Kahana to home was that she couldn’t vote for Naysha as they are both from Puerto Rico. While I understand that this is a natural connection between...

Sickening runways, a gag-worthy twist and Idina Menzel emoting for the gods? Frankly, we don’t deserve RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
Worthy or not, though, we’ve got a brand-new season on our hands! In May, Paramount+ is will be the streaming home for a host of new titles, including the well-timed documentary “King Charles: The Boy Who Walked Alone.” Utilizing original footage and interviews with staffers and friends, this CBS News film provides an insider’s look at England’s newest ruler. Bullied by his father and the child of an unemotional mother, Charles grew up isolated from his parents, the product of, in the words of one friend, “a spectacularly dysfunctional family.” A behind-the-scenes look at his marriage to Princess Diana and his future as the British sovereign are explored on May 2, just days before his official coronation.
