Rampart (2011)
10/10
A Magnificent Performance by Woody Harrelson!
9 May 2012
'Rampart' showcases & salutes the talent of the impeccable Woody Harrelson. As dirty LAPD veteran Dave Brown, Harrelson nails it! In each & every scene, The 2-Time Academy-Award Nominee lives his character & gives him a life to lead. Its A Magnificent Performance!

'Rampart' Synopsis: Set in 1999 Los Angeles, veteran police officer Dave Brown, the last of the renegade cops, works to take care of his family, and struggles for his own survival.

'Rampart' has some terrific moments. James Ellroy & Oren Moverman's Screenplay is brave, brutal & bombastic. The Screenplay never comes across as inhabited. Oren Moverman's Direction, on the other-hand, is ruthless. Cinematography, Editing & Art Design, are excellent.

Harrelson's Magnificent Performance, Alone, is worth giving this film a look. Its a Performance that overshadows the entire film! Harrelson has delivered many remarkable performances in the past, but, in 'Rampart', he delivers his finest. Harrelson is Truly An Acting Giant!

On the whole, 'Rampart' is terrific. Go For It!
