We come back to Rick and the crew. The group is tired of running and wants to find a place to live and to call home. They find the prison, and that's were they decide to make there new stomping grounds. Laurie and Ricks relationship (after the events that transpired in season 2) is still rocky. Even though Laurie is pregnant.
The opening scene of the episode shows the group scouting out a house to look for food. That scene says a lot to me. It shows that the group is close and has become a lot more lethal than the past season. Then, when they finally find the prison and get through some walkers they get some rest. The next day they go and scout the rest of the prison. When they get hit by a little group of walkers, Hershel gets bitten in the leg. Rick, being a leader that will do anything to protect his group, uses a saw to cut off Herschels leg. That way He won't turn into a walker.
Though, this episode does have some minor issues, I think for the first episode of the season, it gets the job done. So 8 out of 10.
