I fear for you, lad.

Warning: Spoilers
The Prodigal is about a peaceful demon attacking a delivery man on a commuter train and a look into Angel's past.

The episode's comprised of the exceptional and the mediocre, with the wonderful backstory and character development of Angel, coincided by a weak plot with some poor characters. Trevor doesn't know these people are vampires, but i don't see him ever meeting with them in the first place, let alone him being corrupt. Kate's effectively dead here as well if Angel doesn't show up, I really dislike that garage scene for many reasons. Meanwhile, Wesley has become quite useful. J. Kenneth Campbell's terrific in his one time appearance as Angel's father and Boreanaz as always, brilliant.

Darla: Your victory over him took but moments. Angelus: Yes. Darla: But his defeat of you will last lifetimes. Angelus: What are you talking about? He can't defeat me now. Darla: Nor can he ever approve of you, in this world or any other. What we once were informs all that we have become. The same love will infect our hearts, even if they no longer beat. Simple death won't change that.
