There Is Something About His 'Method'
ccthemovieman-131 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Method Man, a rapper with the group "Wu-Tang Clan," plays "Drops" in this episode of wise guys. (In real life, MM is a guy with a dozen nicknames and whose real name is Clifford Smith.

It's not unusual in these CSI shows to have sleazoids (not the crime lab people) and, boy, that's certainly the case here again in this episode. It also involves this horrible "James" family (see a previous episode) and the obnoxious mother who thinks her kids are all angels when they are thugs of the worst kind.

Anyway, this particular story involves a drive-by limo shooting - wow, that's doing it in first class. A woman in the limo is kicked out and dragged to her death by the seat belt. Not pretty.

Greg is emotionally involved, of course, because he was part of this family's troubles earlier in this season when he was threatened after running over one of the James boys (and. no, it wasn't "Jesse.") Punks galore in this one, with an unsatisfying ending, too, but at least it held my attention.

Who Killed the Party Girl?
claudio_carvalho19 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
When a limousine hits a nightclub, one person dies in the car and another is wounded. The survival is the notorious Kellen "Drops" Tyford and the victim is his friend Champ Landley. Soon the CSI investigators find bullet holes in the limousine, a bottle of champagne and some powder Greg believes it is cocaine. He also finds bullets of different calibers on the street and a one hundred dollar bill with the white powder in the car. Nick shows that the window of the limo has bullets from opposite directions. Meanwhile, Det. Sofie, Catherine and Warrick investigate the body a young woman in the lawn of a house, and her driver's license indicates the name of Melissa Gentry. They guess what might have happened with her. In the autopsy, Dr. Robbins believe Melissa was dragged by the seat belt. Warrick summons Melissa's mother, but she identities the victim as Melissa's best friend, the party girl Simone Molinez, who is using Melissa's expired license. Catherine finds in her purse the name Carey and a phone number. When she finds blood on the seat of his truck, he tells her that his friend Scotty Brittington had a nosebleed. When the CSI team puts the limousine, Carey's truck and Aaron James in the crime scene, they solve both cases.

"Big Shots" is an episode with a not good story and a disappointing conclusion. Greg excluded from the investigation is another absurd since the family of the criminal Demetrius James has won a large amount from Las Vegas. The power of criminals in Las Vegas is irritating. My vote is seven.

Return of the James' Gang
Hitchcoc15 February 2021
A drive by shooting on the Strip involves some big players in black community. A young woman is tossed out of a car, but she hangs up on the seatbelt and is dragged to her death. The brother of the guy Greg ran into in self defense was in the car. So, once again, the police are seen as harassing the family when they had every right to do so. Greg shows real class. He probably knew that the kid was probably going to get his at some point.

A really boring case

You won't miss much if you totally skip this episode. Nothing interesting happens and it's full of old recycled super predictable clichés.

Basically this is another "filler" episode with super weak writing and total lack of storytelling. This episode is rated 7.5 on average but even that's too generous.

4/10 would be a more fair score for this episode.
