Theirs was one of the most publicly documented relationships in the world. By adopting Twitter as their preferred form of sharing intimate nothings, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher always put their relationship up to an unprecedently public global gaze.
Ashton Kutcher has 8,392,247 followers, his soon-to-be ex wife a mere 4,261,188. So there were a lot of eyeballs to witness at close hand the disintegration of their union, six years after it began.
When they first got together in 2003, it all seemed unlikely but wonderful. Moore's career was on the wane after a string of hits (St Elmo's Fire, Ghost, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure, GI Jane), and she had behind her two divorces, one from singer Freddy Moore and her husband of 13 years, Bruce Willis.
She had moved inland from Los Angeles to bring up her three daughters alone. In interviews, she gushed of her surprise that a tall, dark, handsome young stranger,...

Have CBS and Warner Bros. just been punk'd? Actor and producer Ashton Kutcher has signed a deal to join the cast of Two and a Half Men. The news comes after months of speculation about who would replace Charlie Sheen on the most popular sitcom in primetime television.
Though the casting of Kutcher isn't as bold a choice as Hugh Grant might have been, he does have impressive credentials. He has experience shooting a multi-camera sitcom since he spent seven seasons as a series regular on Fox's That 70s Show, from 1998 to 2005. He's got solid comedic timing and is familiar with the week-to-week schedule.
Kutcher's an experienced producer (Punk'd, Beauty and the Geek, The Real Wedding Crashers, Opportunity Knocks) and has a good professional reputation in the industry. That should be a welcome change for executive producer Chuck Lorre who was tired...

If you think the teaming of Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher sounds like something out of a reality show, you're not far off. The pair are joining forces to create an unscripted series for ABC.
The as-yet-untitled project will feature contestants competing in a beauty pageant. Naturally there's a twist, but the network has requested that the concept remain under wraps because the show hasn't started production.
ABC has ordered eight episodes from Banks' Bankable Prods., Kutcher and Jason Goldberg's Katalyst and Warner Horizon where Banks has a deal.
Kutcher and Banks, repped by Endeavor, have found success producing unscripted projects. Kutcher is behind MTV's Punk'd and the CW's Beauty and the Geek, and Banks executive produces the CW's top-rated America's Next Top Model as well as an upcoming CW project in which contestants compete to become assistant editors at a fashion magazine.
Also, the Style Network said Tuesday that it has acquired the rights to Kutcher's hidden-camera comedy series The Real Wedding Crashers. The show had a short-lived run last year on NBC and is produced by Katalyst Films and New Line Television.

NEW YORK -- Hell's Kitchen kept the ratings warm for Fox, giving it a primetime win Monday night.
Hell's Kitchen (7.9 million, 3.8/11) was the top show in the adults 18-49 demographic, while a repeat CSI: Miami (8.3 million, 2.5/7) was the top show in viewership, according to preliminary estimates released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research.
ABC won 8 p.m. in viewership and the demo with a repeat Wife Swap (5.4 million, 2.0/7), which was up against NBC's The Real Wedding Crashers (3.6 million, 1.3/4) along with a repeat of last week's Hell's Kitchen (3.9 million, 1.8/6) and an hour of The New Adventures of Old Christine (5.2 million, 1.5/5).
NBC's Age of Love (4.7 million, 1.8/5) fell from last week's 5.6 million and 2.3/6 in the demo as Extreme Makeover (6.1 million, 2.2/6) did much better than last week's The Ex-Wives Club (3.5 million, 1.2/3). CBS got a good number against Hell's Kitchen for a repeat Two and a Half Men (8.1 million, 2.4/7).
The 10 p.m. hour went to CSI: Miami against Dateline NBC (5.4 million, 1.8/5) as well as ABC's Supernanny (5.6 million, 2.3/7).

I'm sure fans of series The Black Donnellys couldn't be happier about this one. NBC is set to pull the reality show The Real Wedding Crashers after tonight's broadcast and only three episodes.
Crashers debuted on April 23, 2007 and replaced Donnellys on the Monday night schedule. Crashers is loosely based on the 2005 movie The Wedding Crashers starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and is produced by Ashton Kutcher's production company. The series depicted various nuptials being interrupted by undercover crashers performing outlandish stunts. Unlike the Crashers movie, the bride and/or groom were in on the joke.
NBC will replace Crashers for the next two weeks (the rest of May sweeps) with new episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The Criminal Intent episodes will be then run again the following night at 9pm. Doesn't NBC have any original programming left? Maybe Studio 60 or Donnellys?

NEW YORK -- NBC's freshman drama returned to the schedule for a less than Heroes welcome and didn't help The Real Wedding Crashers, while Dancing With the Stars helped ABC skip to a primetime victory Monday in viewership and adults 18-49.
Heroes, one of the networks' few new hits this season, had been seven weeks off the air and down significantly in viewership and the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary data released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. Heroes (12 million, 5.3 rating/13 share in adults 18-49) was down from its season average (14.8 million, 6.6/15) as well as its last original episode March 5 (14.9 million, 6.6/15). Heroes was still the night's top show in adults 18-49.
It wasn't alone: CBS' The New Adventures of Old Christine and Two and a Half Men dropped to their lowest demo ratings of the season, and Fox's 24 fell to its lowest ratings ever for a Monday.
Meanwhile, Dancing (18.7 million, 4.9/13) was down slightly from last week (18.9 million, 5.1/13).
