You know how some movies are so bad, that they're good
toripater5 December 2023
This is not one of those movies.

It's just bad.

But I still watched it, because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. The dialog is absolutely absurd. The hand to hand combat is actually adorable it's so puffy.

And the gunfights??

As stated, these bad guys make Stormtroopers look like olympic marksmen.

The only reason I gave it three stars was because they deserve credit for understanding the main assignment.

Show Rachel Cook with as little clothes as possible, as often as possible.

Also, why didn't they take the motorcycles when they killed those two guys? I guess the movie would've been too short.

Oh please!
pcmiller-2638111 December 2023
I suppose for the masses, there might be enough gullible people who can follow this story without constantly shaking their heads.

This is another case of someone putting together a film in order to fill the demands of streaming competition and not caring about quality or believability.

A service worker that can afford a guided elk hunting tour in Montana. The guide who doesn't truly know the rules for when a legal time to hunt is and was ice climbing just before opening day in October? The guide even mentions a caution about accidentally slipping into Canada during the hunt and shooting an illegal animal. From the mountains they were in, they would have to travel 100-200 miles by horse to get close, unless they were given permission to hunt the Blackfeet land. Never going to happen.

Then, there are the bad guys with small arms to fire. They walk through thinned out forests of ponderosa trees and think that they will have the upper hand on getting some small briefcase, one, that could possibly fit $100 million. Yes, I said 100.

This is a terrible movie at best. I give it 3 stars for some beautiful drone footage and a few cool rifles, that will surely bring more weird unwanted city people to ruin what Montana used to be like.

Bad acting,bad fighting
ds-9416027 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The whole time I was watching the movie I was like how can a ex navy seal poeple that we're hunting them lack shooting skills. The man that captured them was tortured him wasn't to scary the fight scenes choreography was dumb. And so was the acting. What made the movie cool was first part seeing Rachel Cook running around with just a T-shirt and underwear. And also finding out that she was villain the whole time that was a big twist at the end. So all in all it was OK, but not enough for a four stars. So yeah i feel that they could've done better with the writing and the acting.and that all for now.

Geezus that was so painfully bad, I had to turn it off midway.
Top_Dawg_Critic15 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
If I told you every single scene in this nonsense had every filmmaking flaw possible, I wouldn't be exaggerating. You'd think a 93 min short running time would be a breeze to watch, but this was painful from the get-go. From the cliched, cheesy, sappy and boring story that just dragged on repetitively, to the just as bad dialogue, the horrible acting by every character, and the constant annoying and overbearing score, I'm shocked I even lasted to the midpoint of this poor excuse of a movie.

The story was so bad, it was laughable - like a little girl would be trusted to walk for miles in snow to deliver a suitcase of drug money, to the lame same military dudes walking around for days in the Montana wilderness with guns glued to their eyes, all the while seeing the cringeworthy and eyeroll-riddled meet-up and excursion between Rachel Cook and Rib-eye's characters. Co-written and starring Rib, it's shocking he has 68 previous acting credits, as he was the worst actor of the bunch. Newb actress Rachel Cook was more convincing. I'm sure part blame falls on director and co-writer Ari Novak's failure to direct his cast properly, because he got nothing right as a filmmaker. A fifth grade drama class could write and direct a better film.

Novak should find a new hobby, because filmmaking isn't it. I'm not sure how this was even green-lit and funded, it's that bad. It's a generous 2/10, all going towards the breathtaking Montana scenery and landscapes, and the three ladies that were at least easy on the eyes to watch. Don't waste your time with this nonsense, I did half of that for you.

What the hell...
JRNewts23 August 2023
Went to my mates house and he just started the movie... Anyway, I thought it was a comedy at first, like you know those purposefully bad movies with cheesy lines and bad acting.

But it fast became reality this was a serious movie, well to them anyway. The acting was horrific, the writing was even worse and the filmography looked like something you'd do in a film production class at high school.

It was seriously like they got a group of instagram influences together, we no acting experience and shot this over a weekend. It's a really rough watch, and it cost 6 bucks or something.. Crazy hahah.

Proving you can't make something fast, good and cheap
mikehilario15 August 2023
I always wondered why it took two years to release this movie after they wrapped up production, and now I know why. They needed some time to help them forget how bad of a movie they made. The basics of filmmaking were ignored in making this movie. It would have been much better to market this film as comical action or campy, but when they feel they made a serious film, it's just delusional and sad. I would be embarrassed to put this out there.

Aside from the opening scene, the writing, acting, and actions sequences are all horrible and laughable. The editing and framing of these scenes are very awkward as well. The director tries to distract the viewer by having Rachel run around in underwear or a bra. She looks like a puppet and has limited acting range. Rib looks like a soap opera star looking to extend his career. His dream sequence with Rachel is cringy and sophomoric at best.

The action sequences are silly and sloppy, and the villains are laughably incompetent and allow themselves to be killed as if they never had any fighting or combat experience. I like how Rib was able to take out a sniper by spinning around with a handgun, ha ha. Rachel character was so dumb she couldn't undo the ratcheting strap holding her down when her wrists were held together with zip ties but her fingers and arms were free!

It's clear they casted Rachel to draw her social media followers to watch this movie. It will probably be the only people who watch this film. What I can't understand is why Rachel would sign on to more films with this silly production company.

Awful movie
csearchfield15 August 2023
This was another low budget; poor acting and lame storyline movie being churned out by Hollywood. The bad guys miss every shot and the action scenes by Rachel Cook was pathetic. To keep anyone watching Rachel Cook does a quarter of the movie in a long shirt and in just underwear. The whole movie was lifeless and so poorly acted it is an embarrassment.

One of the worst movies of 2023. Do not waste your time on this one. Please do not pay for it, save your money please. I can say no more. I could explain the plot more to you by why waste my time also. There is not enough lipstick in the world to pretty up this movie and make it acceptable..

Just Embarrassing
rsmth-8203818 August 2023
Seemed like they tried to use a formula of action, guns, good looking people and picturesque setting to make this picture. Unfortunately a bad script, poor editing and direction, sloppy action, and weak acting are what made this movie bad iin a laughable, unintentional way. The two leads actors are vacuous and they have zero chemistry. At one point you think there is some sexual tension and then Jackson beomes aloof and brooding about his past, while Kate is just doe eyed and runs around in her underwear half the movie.

The action scenes have people shooting in random directions, the 'pro' mercenaries can't hit anything while Jackson can take out snipers from a distance with a pistol. Hand to hand fighting was unconvincing especially with Kate fighting off Maximus... The twist at the end made no sense either when looking back at how the story played out. I would be embarrassed to have been involved in this production.

AI could do better
kajolnut14 November 2023
So many inconsistencies in the characters' behaviors since they're all just plot devices to get you to the (in the writer's mind) clever plot twist that was ssssssooooo telegraphed you would have had to have never seen a movie or read a book to miss. Guys are fully dressed in the snow but the woman has to take off her coat to reveal her bare arms covered in tattoos so we know she's a badass. It's cold put your coat on. Female lead running around without pants through a quarter of the movie just advertised the people making the movie didn't have any confidence in their writing or directing. Also, is anyone else getting tired of the heroes who can pop off multiple enemies with single on the fly shots in the first confrontation but then go from a one shot one kill scenario to thirty shots to one kill to keep the movie going?

Acting, sound, script. Rubbish.
peter-c151-28821323 August 2023
The only good thing going for this movie other people very very pretty however as we know pretty people can't always act which is certainly the case in this movie. And I struggled through this movie from start to end pool because the scenery was quite amazing, but the acting of the baddies was horrific, and even the goodies were quite difficult as well. The ending, however, could be seen coming from a mile away sadly.

This is honestly one of those movies that you can turn your brain off. Sit back. Have five beers and watch the feeling and evening. However, I would suggest cutting your toenails and trimming your nose hairs would be a better use of your time then watching this movie, I personally avoid at all costs.

I write this right up there, or should I say down there with the Mambo Kings, which I still believe is the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire 52 years of life.

The Hunters and the Hunted
lavatch11 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The users on this site are really quite mean-spirited in their comments about this engaging film.

"Kill Shot" is well worth a watch for the work of an actor and writer named Rib Hillis. He evokes both the swagger and the vulnerability in his character of Jackson Hardison, an ex SEAL who is now serving as a hiking guide in an unspecified area of the Rockies,

Jackson takes on a client named Kate, who claims that she wants to hunt elk and to deposit the ashes of her late father. The actress playing Kate is Rachel Cook, who looks terrific both in and out of the military fatigues she is occasionally wearing.

Jackson and Kate come across a large stash of cash during their hiking. Suddenly, the hunters become the hunted when they are pursued by the vicious drug dealers seeking to recover the money.

There was some spectacular footage of the uninhabited mountains and some tongue-and-cheek humor built into the screenplay. It was never quite clear who were the villains of the film, a renegade group apparently from Russia who were running drugs from Afghanistan to the United States. Still, there was a lively twist at the end and snappy dialogue throughout this well-produced and under-appreciated film.

REAL NOT
natevonspiegel3 September 2023
I was generous by giving it two stars cause in reality it should be a half of one star. Maybe you will see something I didnt see the only good part of the movie as a Guy myself is seeing a woman wearing hardly anything shooting a gun and she pretty much is missing pants or a shirt most of the movie .From beginning to the end the bad dialog terrible acting worst action scenes and dumb storyline with lifeless characters. Someone should have killed all of the production beforehand. Then shot anyone who disagreed the writers ,producers ,directors, actors ,actress ,editors, head of casting , and whomever inbetween. That honestly thought this movie must be made. What a waste of time money and film.

Warning: Spoilers
Your right after the girl dropped off first a small pack to the tattoo girl then the talibad guys who then get shot by I guess the tattoo girl & mercenaries? Next pans to the hunter and his wife before the call about a hunting job. Then back to the mercenaries now in Montana looking for the pilot of a crashed plane and wanders of wanders its that case of money again. Meanwhile the hunter stops for the night meets a girl turns out to be a waitress at the bar he goes to. Later meets up with his agent and the client for the hunt (shoot an Elk) is this girl again. They camp and next day search for Elk in same area as the downed plane -coincidence? After some 10 hours our hunter who turns out to be an ex-seal climbs the ridge and see an Elk but also the dead pilot hanging plus this case on the ground below him. From then on the mercenaries show up and although fire loads of bullets hit nothing but the hunter hits at least 6 which seems unbelievable. Well rather than dwell any more on this film what can I say about the ending? Oh no!!

OUCH !
jeannetteaston29 November 2023
I wanted to like this movie so bad dammit. You can tell the quality of the film right away. Its so stiff. It's not filmed like the really good movies are. Acting is horrible. Fight scenes are not believable. Rachael Cook that plays Kate must have got the job by her looks because she's a terrible actress. She is constantly positioned certain ways throughout the movie to look sexy and she holds the pose like she's in a photography shoot. The guy Rip isn't as bad as an actor but could definitely use some lessons. Was this movie supposed to be this bad and I missed this? I feel like I lost 93 min of valuable time. Thumbs down. 👎

The Weakest Action Movie ever made
hptotal31 August 2023
The story lack of thought, predictable.

The actions full of obvious mistakes, unprofessional.

Weak roll playing and far from the regality.

The weakest movie I have ever seen in my life.

The pros who doesn't know how to hold the gun, threatening by a grenade without taking out the pin, the leader of army who tried to show professional trained soldier but acting like a girl who has never touched a simple gun and doesn't know how to use the flame thrower gun or what's the point to use it when its not going to be hurting anything; the whole story which is about two armies spending huge money to seek for just little amount of money/bods.

A professional soldier who can kill 5 person in 2 sec, can't shoot 2 person in 5 sec because the movie would seems more action!?

The army who knows is going to engage with soldiers dress up like they are going out for fun.

I personally will never watch any movie directed or especially written by Ari Novak.

I just wrote this because it wasted my time and I hope no one waste their time watching this movie.

Tactical lingerie
BandSAboutMovies31 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Directed by Ari Novak (Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs, PawParazzi, Assassin's Vow), who co-wrote the script with Rib Hillis (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; he also appears in this movie as Jackson Hardison), Kill Shot starts with a suitcase full of cash being stolen by Dina Diablo (Mara Ohara) and Maximus (Bobby Maximus) before the plane carrying it crashes in the Canadian wilderness. Oh yeah - Novak is also in this movie as Alpha ONE.

Kate (Rachel Cook) is just. Trying to scatter her dad's ashes and shoot an elk with her hunting guide Jackson, a former Navy SEAL. They find the briefcase - and the $100 million inside - and become the target of Diablo, Maximus and their henchmen.

This was filmed as Hunted back in 2020. Shot in Montana, it has plenty of great locations. What's really wild about it is for a movie shot today how much it objectifies its lead actress. Beyond scenes where she appears runway-ready despite being deluged in a river, she starts the credits topless with a gun and later runs through the woods in a torn-up flannel and black panties, which doesn't really seem like the tactical gear one needs to battle a crew of deadly mercenaries. I was stunned a few times, thinking that this had to be a parody and no, not at all, they really filmed this.

Other than that, Kill Shot offers guns ablaze in Big Sky country. I always worry that the action movie industry has gone away - and by that, I mean the direct-to-video one of my teenage years. As long as movies like Kill Shot keep getting made, I know that the guns and fist stories of my youth live on.

So bad I had to turn it off!
mirabilekm29 November 2023
Don't waste your time. The guy wasn't a great actor but bearable. The woman - my word. Her face didn't move one bit. Zero expression. Zero movement in her face. Zero acting skills. Zero personality. Don't ever put her in a movie. It takes skills to not move your face like that. She's so young so it's not Botox.

We put this on not expecting an Oscar winner but something to watch random Tuesday night. We expected a B or C movie but this was unbearable.

Again, how does that woman not show an ounce of movement to be surprised or shocked or anything. You have to try hard not to do that. We couldn't watch it.

Couldn't watch past the 10 minute mark
darth-moose727 September 2023
Who knows how this movie ended. After 10 minutes I turned it off. 10 minutes of a girl walking through the snow carrying a bag.

Why do they need to drag it out so long? If the movie starts this way then how much worse could it get.

Don't bother reading any further as this is just to fill in the minimum word limit. The reviews are like so many movies now....have to be so long and can't just get to the point. Why do I have to fill in 600 words when i can get to the point in 100 words? This is why marvel movies are so boring now. And don't get me started on tom hanks movies or anything done by Ron Howard.

Better than anything Hollywood's done lately, sadly
karnasaur-8296817 August 2023
This is a B movie. That said, I enjoyed it more than any A movie since Dune. It's also Rachel Cook's first movie. She's a popular model who is often naked. Most people who seek out this movie will do so because she's in it.

Synopsis - While Rachel is top billed, it's Rib Hillis' movie. He plays Jackson, an ex-military guy who now leads hunting parties, His life has fallen apart since his daughter died and his wife left him. He gets a job leading a woman named Kate (Rachel Cook) who wants to kill an elk in her father's memory, and spread his ashes in Montana. Unfortunately for them, some mercenary types have stolen a lot of money in Afghanistan, and the plane carrying the money has crashed just south of the Canadian border. (Don't think about it.) Jackson finds the money, and the mercenaries, a lot of them, start trying to kill them.

Rachel's good. For a first time actress she doesn't embarrass herself, and some of the things that I thought were going to be plot holes were, to my surprise, all explained. No nudity, but we see lots of bras and panties.. Rib was also fine. He wrote the film. The baddies could have used some development, Any development. Who was that Snake-Eyes guy? What was his deal?

This was almost entirely filmed in the Montana Rockies, and the nature footage looks great.

Other notes

  • This was originally called Hunted, and the idea of being hunted is referenced a few times. Judge for yourself what the better title would be.

  • There is a post-credits scene.

  • Completely devoid of any socio-political messaging of any sort.

It's worth an hour and a half of your life, in my opinion.

If Hallmark Made an Adventure Movie
phpd-0546819 December 2023
This movie is a disaster. Poor narrative thread; improbable scenarios; continuity problems galore; cliches; poor dialogue; wooden acting; poorly choreographed and unconvincing fight scenes...ridiculous all the way around. The only saving grace was the spectacular scenery.

The story just rehashed the tired trope of innocent folk stumbling across a suitcase full of money, and the ensuing chase by the bad guys.

We also have the jaded hero with a u-haul full of emotional baggage, the femme fatale dressed in skintight leather, an obligatory cat fight, a "heroine" who can't keep her pants on, and a twist ending that you could see coming a mile away. Just...gag. I gave it a 2 because of the glorious scenery.

Rachael cook is hot.
boatrat12 January 2024
That is the only reason to watch. They run through a sparse Christmas tree farm looking forest. Running from well armed bad guys. They kill bad guys and Hottie never picks up a gun. Moreover, all the guns had $20 hollow sights from Amazon. Yeah these are Professional x military killers. Bad dialog, bad acting but a smoking hot leading lady in skimpy black underwear. As for the money in a small briefcase. Maybe $ 1 million would fit in $100 dollar bill bundles. Rachael's smooth perfect buttocks and pretty face are the only redeeming qualities for this turkey. The pretext is hokey, the execution is abysmal, the scenery is beautiful, although that was provided by nature. As was Rachael's perfect smooth white pimple free buttocks.

A rough shooting style and a story about seeking money
noshouse4 November 2023
While the overall plot follows the typical Hollywood storyline with elements like drugs, heists, gunfights, betrayals, and chasing after money, it's worth noting that the handling of scene details is quite rough. During a heist, a female assassin wields a flamethrower that can't reach her opponents, and there's a lack of sparks when the two groups engage in a shootout. The sound effects seem dubbed. The female lead's actions during the money chase and pursuit are haphazardly stitched together. Her attempt at being seductive feels off-tempo and lacks tension. Even in moments of being chased, she casually reveals her underwear in a teasing manner, which completely diminishes any sense of suspense. The ending, which should have been a surprising twist, feels rushed and unsatisfying. I wouldn't recommend watching it unless you're solely interested in seeing Rachel Cook.

See Rachel Cook. See Rachel Cook Strip. See Rachel Cook Run!
frank-hood4 December 2023
I know this is futile to write a review for a movie that everybody has said is absurdly bad, or maybe they said absurd AND bad, but I can't help myself because there are a few things left unmentioned.

The ?good? Parts first. If you like the idea of seeing Rachel Cook running around the Montana wilderness in sexy black lingerie, you're in luck. Don't ask why she's constantly getting (mostly) undressed in the middle of a very cold Montana, just enjoy the show.

Unlike others here, I didn't find the acting bad. There just wasn't very much of it. The first 5 minutes is basically a little Muslim girl tramping through the (supposedly) Afghanistan snow with a briefcase full of money. Silly, but scenic. The rest of the movie alternates between, look at the wonderful scenery of Montana and let's just shoot all the bad guys with magic bullets that always kill people (if you're the good guys) and always miss (if you're the bad guys). Plus there's some rock climbing, and wide angle views of Elk and a Grizzly (looks more like a brown bear to me, but never mind).

Now to the basic plot. The movie opens with Afghanis in a, presumably, opioid factory, handling a little girl a briefcase with what we're later told is 100 million dollars. Never mind that much money couldn't possibly fit in a briefcase even full of $1,000 bills. Where can you spend 100,000 thousand dollar bills? Never mind that there only 165,000 thousand dollar bills in existence. You gonna walk into a 7/11 and ask for change? The FBI would be on you like you were the Branch Davidians. OK, that's number one.

I won't even go into the idea of forcing folks out of an armored truck by pulling a flame thrower from under your hijab and--making the cab, too hot? So the crew gets out, and instead of shooting the dim bulb with the flame thrower, just crouch around shooting (and missing) a lot until they get shot.

The basic plot is taking $100 million from an opium ranch in the wilderness of Afghanistan and smuggling it into ?Canada? Via the ?United States? Sorry, in what universe does drug money flow from the source to the land of your customers? It's the drugs that flow that way. If you already had the $100 million, you wouldn't bother processing the drugs. And somehow it's easier to smuggle money into the US, and then into Canada?

I could go on, but what's the point? If you're into scenery, just turn your mind off and enjoy it. Just don't look for things to make any sense.

I was a 1 until the last frames
mojotre-213-8557695 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was a 1 until the last frames and that bumped it to a 2 because I genuinely laughed. Perhaps the most unfulfilling ending I have seen, maybe ever.

I came this close to stealing another's review title: Tactical Lingerie.

Alternate Title 2: This shoulda been a porno.

I want to stress I did not hate this but it was laughable. They seemed to think they were making an actual movie which is sad. The "blonde" girl was not hard on the eyes but I am approaching 60 and my standards are not what they once were. Wife told me it was a wig. I thought it was her real hair. All I can say is they are doing great things with wigs these days.

Comments made during the flick:

-She will regret coming out of that tent without pants.

-It looks cold but they will find a reason for him to be shirtless.

-It seems cold but of course it is more important to have a crop top.

-She will be large with cottage cheese by the time she is 35. (wife) -That is what happens when you allow a woman to start the shooting. (I mean, she had dudes that do this for a living all around the camp.) -They have pointed out these trust issues too often. She is going to betray him.

-Everyone is dead, who did she just call?

It fluctuated between a 1 and 2 the entire movie, finally dropping to a 1 until the very end. The third shot sealed it as a 2. There will be no sequel.

So long as it does not cost you a dime I recommend you watch it. I can't say I hated it but would never watch something by this crew again.
