Warning: Spoilers
Just when I finally thought the show was finding his rhythm (I liked the previous chapter enough) this happens. I mean, most of the episode was ok. I understand it is teenager-oriented, so I can accept the romance sillyness. I also think the villain part and even the FBI ones were acceptable.

But the ending? Stupid as hell.

1) After the dance, Liam goes out but Jess, instead of going to find him in the place he knew he was going to be in like 3 minutes (opening the journal) decides to call him and leave a long voice message.

2) Liam apparently decided to change the plan and stole the journal instead of waiting for the others and take the pics 3) The worst offender. The guard saw her. So instead of just staying there, allow to be checked, as she really had not the journal on her and make a furious complaint about prejudices, if needed, she just runs.

4) she needs a distraction, so her friends do something very public that will ruin her relationship with Ethan's mom and Oren chance to make business with the rich people.

5) The other bad offender. When running from doing nothing, Jess decides than instead of being caught by the governor people, with no proof whatsoever that she did anything, it is preferable to jump into the limo of the woman who kidnapped her friend and threated to kill him.

What in Heaven's name is happening here? Did the writers had 5 minutes to come with a plot for the episode?

Warning: Spoilers
I thought this series had potential. Loved National Treasure movies despite the overindulgence of questionable historical references and Hollywood style banter.

The sequal series had some nice nostalgia and hint of fun with "new" history and clue solving. I expected inventive historical facts/interpretations. However episode 5 is brain dead.

Fake romantic drama is the real story line. Trying to unobtrusively get information at a public venue, the brilliant sleuths call attention to themselves by dancing in the middle of the room with everybody able to identify them as being there.

Instead of letting a security guard capture her whens she had done nothing wrong and no evidence of stealing anything, Jess runs like she is guilty and places herself in peril. And leaves her one of a kind shoe behind. Tasha is a menace and Jess' other friends are shallow, but not in an entertaining way.

I'm sure this will all work out for the best in a Disney+ way, but the promise is gone.

More young adult romantic entanglements and less clues and puzzles. I don't really care for any of these people, or their problems. Honestly they could take all the National Treasure parts of this whole season and easily fit them all into a full length movie, and it would probably be better.

I don't care for the love triangle. Neither of the male romantic interests are likeable. You have the one moody musician with daddy and grandpa issues, or you have the friend zone guy who lies and doesn't believe in her when it counts. She can do so much better.

The most interesting character is the villain, who I will add, actually puzzle solves in a realistic manner, unlike the protagonists. I honestly want to learn more about the antagonist. More of her, less of the Riverdale rejects.

I liked the series, but this episode is so so so annoying !!!! Why would a smart character just brut everything out and the other one walking around with very old antique out in the public??? And the conversation is just getting bad very unnatural. The character developments are weird. And the dynamics really isn't what I'm looking for and in a bad way. I also don't like the private securities of Billie they are so bad and so dumb.

I don't really have anything else to add but it is required so yea I really had high hopes for the series. I can't I just can't can I submit now please please please.
