Revathi refurnishes her acting career with this role as an obstinate woman who will not be led by the usual stereotypes of her native village in Kerala, India. The story is pretty straightforward and different from the usual movies of Malayalam. Even though it has loopholes, it was well received by my family with whom I watched it a native cinemaplex.
Cast is good and Prithviraj's performances is okay with respect to the roles he's getting lately (Her, Simhasanam, The Way Home). Soundtrack is chilly and direction is average. Other aspects of cinema-making are just above average and I totally was interested throughout the movie and the screenplay clanged me.
Bottom line: This is not Revathy's come-back with some over-smartness but this is good, entertaining watch!
WATCH OUT FOR: the Kerala government office politics!
Can be watched with a typical Indian family? YES
