A headache-inducing episode of Loki gets underway in the 1800s this week, as Ravonna Renslayer finally pops up on the Sacred Timeline with Miss Minutes in tow. He Who Remains’ promise in the season one finale – that if Sylvie killed him he’d just end up right back on top – seems to hinge on a plan to kickstart a kind of causal loop, where a past variant receives a copy of Ob’s Tva guidebook and is inspired to create all manner of technological inventions, including a rough version of the temporal loom.
There are positives and negatives to this trip back in time. It’s great to have Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Tara Strong back as the ruthless Renslayer and Miss Minutes respectively. The pair are dynamite together here, and I’m still fully able to suspend my disbelief and buy into the talking animated clock...

Within the first five minutes of Disney+’s new Goosebumps adaptation, it’s clear that viewers are no longer in R.L. Stine’s creepy, scary version of middle-grade horror.
Developed by Rob Letterman and Nicholas Stoller, the show is one of the first real steps into the teen arena for both Disney+ and the book series. The new 10 episode horror comedy focuses on five high schoolers who find themselves in the possession of cursed or haunted items after one fateful night at a house party, the very place a young man died in a horrible and mystery fire years earlier.
A modern, Breakfast Club-esque ensemble that leans into suspense as much as laughs, this Goosebumps is an effort to not only serialize, but age-up its storytelling tonally — a creative move that repositions the franchise closer to Stine’s successful young adult horror series Fear Street, which was adapted in...

The following article contains spoilers for "Loki" season 2, episode 1.
"Loki" season 2 is finally here. It's very likely that you have been impatiently waiting to see the charming Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief again, especially since we've been waiting over two years to find out what became of Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) after she stabbed He Who Remains, who just so happens to also be Kang the Conquerer, the big bad of the Multiverse Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
On March 25, 2023, Majors was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with a woman. An official police statement said that the woman "sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition." The situation has gotten more complicated over the months since then, and that's making things difficult for Marvel.
So far, Majors has been seen only briefly in trailers for the series,...

The BBC has acquired all three seasons of Hulu’s Love, Victor.
Set in the same universe as hit movie Love, Simon, the show focuses on a new student at Creekwood High School, played by Michael Cimino. The series follows his journey of self-discovery: facing challenges at home and struggling with his sexual orientation. He reaches out to Simon when it seems too difficult for him to navigate his way through high school.
Love, Victor ran for three seasons between 2020 and 2022.
The deal was struck with Disney Entertainment. The BBC has been buying more American shows of late, having struck a deal for AMC’s Interview with the Vampire earlier this month along with Australian hits such as Colin From Accounts and Scrublands.
Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, said: “Love, Victor is a heartfelt, funny and nuanced coming-of-age story,...

John de Lancie is known the galaxy over as Star Trek‘s omnipotent Q, but it’s his actual breakout role in the mid-80s as eccentric inventor/psychic Eugene Bradford on Days of Our Lives that sparks some of his most joyous career memories. Britney Spears has issued a statement about the incident that took place in Las Vegas when she tried to approach new San Antonio Spurs draft pick Victor Wembanyana.
At the time, Spears filed a police report claiming that a member of the NBA player’s security staff struck her in the face; a review of security camera footage, however, revealed that Spears placed her hand on Wembanyana, leading to the security staffer pushing her hand away, causing Spears’ hand to inadvertently hit her own face.

Senior year’s arrived and Devi’s almost ready to say goodbye to high school and hello to her life as a college freshman in the fourth and final season of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever. That is until Ben walks down the hall and Devi dissolves into a blurb of nerves.

Darren Barnet is Paxton Hall-Yoshida, Lee Rodriguez is Fabiola Torres, and Ramona Young stars as Eleanor Wong. Michael Cimino joins the cast for the final season as Ethan.

Devi Vishwakumar isn’t ready to say goodbye, and neither are we.
After losing her virginity to Ben Gross (Jaren Lewinson), Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is ready for her final year of high school, with eyes on the Princeton prize in the trailer for “Never Have I Ever” Season 4 — the final batch of episodes for the Netflix series, which drop June 8 on the streamer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without her besties Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola (Lee Rodriquez) by her side as they conquer college applications, prom and graduation.
It looks like some special guest stars will appear in this final season of Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher’s comedy series. Ken Marino can be glimpsed driving the girls to prom in a limo. Michael Cimino (“Love Victor”) has been crowned new king of the hot pocket, and his character Ethan has gotten, well, hotter over the summer.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has shared a hilariously unexpected response to her son’s on-screen “racy” sex scene.
The Seinfeld star’s youngest son, Charlie Hall – whom she shares with her writer and producer husband Brad Hall – joined the latest season of Mindy Kaling’s drama-comedy The Sex Lives of College Girls.
During a new appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Louis-Dreyfus was speaking about her two sons when the host noted that 25-year-old Hall is on the HBO Max series.
“That’s a racy show!” Kimmel exclaimed, with the 62-year-old Veep actor agreeing that “it’s a very racy show, yes!”
“Do you watch the show in fear that you might see something you haven’t seen for a while?” Kimmel asked.
Taking a moment’s pause, Louis-Dreyfus then said: “I did watch the show, and I think he was really great – I mean, he was adorable.

Wolf Pack, the new werewolf series from Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis, is a new take on the mythos of shape-shifting monsters. Rather than telling the same story we have heard countless times before, Davis adapts the novels of Edo van Belkom for a unique story following four young people who contend with abilities they are not prepared for. The series also serves as the long-awaited return to genre television of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Also starring Rodrigo Santoro, Wolf Pack hopes to generate a new fanbase as rabid as the one for Teen Wolf.
I got to interview Wolf Pack‘s cast about the new series. Tyler Lawrence Gray and Chloe Rose Robertson, who play siblings Harlan and Luna, talked about joining this mythology and Tyler’s challenge with undertaking so many sex scenes in the early episodes. Paramount Pictures is getting ready to revisit “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” A spinoff of John Hughes’ beloved teen comedy is in the works at the studio, with the creators of “Cobra Kai” producing, Variety has confirmed.
Titled “Sam and Victor’s Day Off,” the film is a side story that focuses on the titular characters on the same day as Ferris (Matthew Broderick), Cameron (Alan Ruck) and Sloane (Mia Sara) skipped school in the ’86 flick. In the original film, Sam and Victor were valets who took Cameron’s father’s red Ferrari on a joy-ride. The characters went unnamed in the original film, and were portrayed by Richard Edson and the late Larry “Flash” Jenkins.
Jon Hurwtiz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald, who created another expansion of an ’80s teen film in “Karate Kid” sequel series “Cobra Kai,” are producing the film, while their head of development Dina Hillier executive produces.

Get ready for a new kind of rom-com. With shows like Love, Victor and Heartstopper bringing LGBTQ+ representation to younger audiences, Netflix's new series Uncoupled is putting middle-aged queer men front and center. "What's really fun about it is being able to tell these stories as men of our age," actor and host Jai Rodriguez exclusively told E! News' Daily Pop at the show's July 27 premiere. "But what happens when we date and get married and age out of the key demographic that's often represented, what happens to them? There's a lot of fun we get to have in this, but we touch on some serious issues that are universal." The show—which premieres July...

Don't give up on the new Lizzie McGuire just yet. The revival was announced for Disney+ in August of last year, and has since been down a very rocky road. Two episodes were filmed before original creator Terri Minsky left over creative differences, and production was halted. At the time, Disney said they wanted to put a "new lens" on the series, which was described as a show about Lizzie as a 30 year-old woman living her dream life (or so it seems) in New York City. After the series Love, Victor was moved from Disney+ to Hulu due to "adult themes" (per The Hollywood Reporter), star Hilary Duff spoke out on Instagram, asking for Lizzie to follow suit. Since then, there have...

Discovering Sy Rogers was a big deal for me. As a gay kid in Pensacola, Fl, I learned early on that my “same-sex attraction”––as it’s often called in conservative Christian churches––was not acceptable in my community. Rogers previously identified as trans and led international ministries based on the idea that if God can change Rogers from being transgender, he can also change one’s homosexuality. This assumes it’s wrong to be gay and that being transgender is even worse. But I didn’t want to be gay, so I walked in Rogers’ footsteps. For the first half of the 2010s, I believed ex-gay theology and it took the second half of the decade in therapy to unravel it. Telling my story is not easy, but the truth is more powerful than pretending my past never happened.

It's no secret that Hulu's forthcoming spinoff series, Love, Victor, shares a lot of similarities with Love, Simon. Just like the 2018 movie, the Hulu series takes place at the fictitious Creekwood High School in Atlanta, and it follows new student Victor (played by newcomer Michael Cimino) as he struggles with his sexual orientation. Also similar to Love, Simon, the actors in Love, Victor are . . . not actually teenagers. We've rounded up the real ages of the Love, Victor cast members, and spoiler alert: it's probably been a while since most of these actors walked down the halls of an actual high school.

Hulu’s “Love, Simon” sequel series “Love, Victor” opens with a pointed Dm to the original film’s protagonist: “Screw you.”
The message comes from the franchise’s new main character, Victor Salazar, a 15-year-old high school student struggling to understand his sexuality in the midst of a move to a new town with his conservative, religious parents. He takes issue with the relative ease of Simon’s glossy coming out story and its overwhelmingly happy ending. Not everyone has it so easy, Victor insists.
The message feels like a direct answer to some of the criticism of the movie, which was also written by “Love, Victor” showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (“This Is Us”), but it also serves as a statement of intent.

It’s been just over two years since the theatrical release of Love, Simon, the 2018 rom-com that broke new ground as the first major studio film to center on a gay teen romance. The movie is a charming and inoffensive coming-of-age flick — and your opinion of the film will likely dictate how much you enjoy Love, Victor, Hulu’s sequel series that features all the same heart, but too little innovation in its storytelling.

This Love, Victor review contains no spoilers.
From the people who made Love, Simon, the heartwarming spin-off series Love, Victor is here to soothe our tired souls without asking too much of our brains.
And while its made strides in updating its queer representation to the modern context, there are still some significant oversights. As a Pride month offering Love, Victor is something of a complicated one, as Love, Simon was before it, though the writers have clearly learned at least some of their lessons this time around.
Nick Robinson reprises his role as Simon Spier (largely via voiceover) in a much larger part than expected, messaging Victor in long paragraphs at least once an episode. Their messages frame the episodes but, unlike typical voiceover (since they’re being sent to another character) the contrast between Victor’s intentions and actions serves as further characterization rather than merely a weak device.

Hulu is moving the premiere dates of two new shows, Love, Victor and Taste the Nation, away from June 19th (Juneteenth), out of respect for the holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans in the Confederacy.
Love, Victor will now premiere two days earlier on June 17th, with Taste the Nation following on June 18th.
“This date represents an important turning point for our nation and for human rights, and we believe that now, more than ever, it deserves to have its own day in the spotlight,” Hulu said in a statement.
