A "documentary" that feels like a reality show about an "ex" addict with a nearly dead career.

Warning: Spoilers
When I first heard about this show, the concept was really vague, therefore I watched this with my mind as opened as possible, hoping to see some inside in what was going on with this troubled Hollywood starlet trying to rebuild her career, after her 6th rehab.

You know when you watch a train wreck on the news, and you know it's going to end badly, but you can't stop watching due to some gruesome curiosity? Well let's just imagine the train is Lindsay Lohan's career, and you've basically got this show figured out.

* you might have some spoilers ahead* Let's just clarify right here that I'm not a huge Lindsay Lohan Fan, neither am I a hater. I watched most of her movies, and I think she's an overall okay actress, who just got carried away . Then I saw the "docuseries" and got mixed feelings.

It seemed boring, and harmless in beginning, because there was nothing Worthy going on , but then Lindsay starts commenting on things and randomly crying, and I got hooked.

You get to see first hand what an emotional roller-coaster is, and how hard it will be for her to ever have a great career again, as we are presented to a moody and irresponsible starlet who's late to every single cameo she can get, and still blames every single person around her, as it's never her fault that she barely gets any work.

You see contradictions during every testimony and it makes you wonder . In one episode, she claims to be flat broke and desperate for work. two episodes later she spends 12 hundred dollars in hair extensions to go to a party just because she feels like it. She complains no one gives her a chance, a producer arranges a meeting with her and she bluntly bails it to stay in sleeping.

And it gets frightening, because you see everyone around her patting her in the back and condescending on her, instead of trying to help her succeed. You see how dangerous it is to bee vulnerable and how surrounded by vultures one is on this circles, and that's basically the only positive thing in this documentary, that's not actually a documentary.

* end of possible spoilers*

I realize OWN was trying to bring to the viewer this emotional journey accompanying a triumphant comeback for this promising young woman, with an artsy feeling, but what they delivered was a bunch of cameras following Lindsay shopping, smoking, eating, smoking, complaining, smoking and... being late to every single professional compromise ever made during filming.

Its not what you think, you need an open mind.

It was interesting.

Lindsay's story was told in a way, where the best way to describe it, would be interesting. Its probably unlike any other documentary or reality TV show I've seen where you don't quite know what is really going on or who's perspective to trust.

The last part of the series wraps things up quite nicely. Whatever judgements and thoughts you made throughout the series you get more of a perspective about why certain things happened during the series. The real moral you walk away with is, the stories you see in the tabloids or even seeing the documentary never tells the real story so no matter what is being portrayed.

Depending on who you are or how cemented your opinions become this is a moral the audience may or may get. In a way this made the documentary artsy. You as the audience really have to make up your own mind and use your own brain.

My only gripes are, I think the docu-series was too short. I don't think we got to see enough of Lindsay as an animal in her own natural habitat. This was filmed 2 weeks after rehab, it starts off with an insane move across the country, the beginning of building her staff, later we find out what's really been going on with her. Because of that, I really don't think these 8 episodes showed who Lindsay really is. This is a major transitional period in her life. It may be unflattering but any transitional moments can make any person unflattering. It doesn't mean that's who they really are.

As audience members, I can see why some people might get disappointed because we think we're not getting what we were promised but in a way, we do. This is a story about a girl, continually trying to climb her way out of a slump. The story just isn't completed. I think the docu-series should have started after her move, she had established things and organized her situation better. That way we could see the resolution of the story. What we're really watching is the somebody going through a dark time in their life that is trying to get out.

The worst part is, because of Lindsay's nature we don't get to go through the journey she goes through. We get shut out because of her fears of being judged. Ironically, that's what makes us judge her. She comes off in a certain way. If you can look past that and catch the glimpses of her saying the right things that a passionate, ambitious, motivated person knows and realize she never tries to destroy a person even though she is angry. You'll realize there is a totally different person there we don't get to meet yet but she's in there.

As entertain goes it was entertaining and interesting to watch. I think the situation is more complex than what we were shown.

Really? She contradicts herself all the time throughout the series opener.

She ruined her voice with smoking. She acts pretentious and like a diva.

She is surrounded by sychophants. She is broke yet can afford to have a huge spending habit. She is living like she is still in her prime. If this is her rebuilding her career it is not going to work. She has committed career suicide.

No one will hire her looking like she is hungover and complaining ad naseum. No one wants to watch someone who had everything blow it all and end up like she has.

A weak series about a glamorous star

Warning: Spoilers
This is a miniseries from roughly two years ago starring actress Lindsay Lohan. It consists of eight episodes of roughly 42 minutes each and is advertised as a show that gives us an insight into Lindsay Lohan's personal life. However, I am not too sure if this is really the case. When I watched this, I had the feeling that most (if not everything) of the action was staged for the camera. Then again, most "documentary" series these days are. I like Lindsay Lohan as an actress and I believe she has decent talent, so I really hope she will make a comeback at some point. Many people said she'd be already long dead by 2015, so at least this is not the case. I hope she can control her addictions in the future. If she can, she actually has a good shot at becoming respected and appreciated again by her peers and the general media. I do hope that her comments about how she hates that she is not in films on a regular basis right now are true. Go Lindsay, you can do it. Anyway, back to this documentary show here. I believe Oprah is really the one to blame. This woman leaves nothing to coincidence and I am fairly certain everything that was shown in these eight episodes had to be greenlit by her (including her own cringeworthy appearance) and this is why it is not a successful documentary series. You don't need people like her in your life. Good luck, Lindsay.
