Forgettable Horror Film
NickGagnon9425 March 2022
Eric Roberts drugs a young woman for a crazy murder experiment. It gets pretty dull pretty fast. Best to see a different slasher film. Not too good. Eric Roberts has done far better.

Not worth the time
jkep1018 June 2019
I'm a big horror fan and thought I'd give this one a go. Absolute waste of time. The acting was pretty bad and overall just hard to get through this one. Should have followed my gut and stayed away.

Gave it a go...

And it was a pure waste of time. From the beginning until the end. Made no sense. I mean the guy making people kill others by a pill. It states in the title explaination that he brainwashed, HOW? He had no communication until end. Also why would anyone on earth a drink that a stranger gave them.

Don't watch this movie, it's trash
iiss-0262228 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It's thoroughly amazing how little happens in this movie. It begins with a middle-aged woman killing her dad by dumping sizzling hot bacon grease on his face and bashing his head with a heavy skillet. Then the movie cuts to a coffee shop where an old guy offers to pay for a young couple Vicky and Mike's orders. Before handing Vicky her drink, he drugs it. Then the couple joins another couple, Emma and TJ, for vacation in a local cabin in the woods. Soon Vicky starts to feel sick and she begins to act very strangely by putting her hand on the hot burner and peeling the skin of her forearm. The next morning, Vicky goes missing and the rest of the group goes looking for her. TJ finds her but soon gets stabbed. Vicky then kills Emma. When Mike kneels down checking on Emma's bloody body, a cop shows up and points his gun at Mike. After a few quick exchanges, Mike recognizes that the cop is the guy who picked up their drink orders from the beginning. Then this evil old guy instructs Vicky to kill Mike and later herself. Apparently, this elderly gentleman disapproves the young generation, in order to demonstrate his disapproval, he invents a pill that can turn anyone into a killer. The ending of the movie proceeds to this old man pretending to be a janitor at an elementary school, insinuating that he soon will be targeting young children. If you have made it this far reading my review, you already know the entire plot of the movie. Do yourself a favor and skip this stinker.

I Fixed Him
nogodnomasters30 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In a small town, there are random killings. Two couples are in the area for a vacation getaway. Eric Roberts puts a drug in Vikki's (Melissa Kunnap) drink. Not too hard to figure out.

I was hoping Eric Roberts would get killed early and often. No such luck. The film was basically poorly written and acted. They were able to hire Erc Roberts to have a name in the film as so many bad films are able to do.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Flick flop
Movieflickfilms9 July 2019
Very poor story line. Script and or actors had to many fillers of the F word. If you can't emprove better than that, go take some more lessons. The real world is ready for a shift of great story lines and story telling. Acting was ok, I wouldn't tear you apart about it. If I had to choose to watch or not........that would be a not.

Psychosis in the wilderness
TheLittleSongbird18 August 2019
The best thing about 'The Evil Inside Her' is the cover, that looked suitably freaky. It is one of those rare films seen recently though that did not have much of a good concept or much potential going for it in the first place. Even from looking at the plot summary, no matter how semi-interesting the title of the film is, one knows that the film is going to be very silly, not very scary and muddled, so not good. See it for the title and as a low budget horror film completest, but very little else.

Despite how good the cover looked, it was not really enough to save 'The Evil Inside Her' from not being halfway watchable. Everything else is executed so dreadfully that 'The Evil Inside Her' is the complete opposite of that, starting off badly getting increasingly worse all the time with no signs of recovering. If one's gut instinct was to avoid the film, it is best to keep it that way unless you are very, very curious (the reason for seeing it in the first place when it appeared in the more like this section) like me.

First and foremost, 'The Evil Inside Her' looks shoddy. Especially the less than slick, sometimes barely coherent, editing and erratic photography. There is very little atmosphere in the lighting too. The music never seemed to fit, the tone could be wrong and fails to convey any kind of mood while the placement could also be inappropriate.

Can say nothing better about the script, which had no life or flow and tending to sound stilted and cheesy. The story can be pretty uneventful and often very dully paced, 'The Evil Inside Her' is not even a very long film and the story felt thin and too stretched out. There is nothing scary or suspenseful whatsoever, and a lot of the film doesn't even make sense and gets ridiculous.

All the cast give lousy performances, doing nothing to make us care for their predicament or make the characters likeable or interesting. The acting instead was worse than bland and could irritate. Then there is Eric Roberts whose performance is a mess of phoning in and scenery chewing, found nothing creepy about him and thought his character was written too obviously and nowhere near mysteriously enough.

In conclusion, awful. 1/10

Better than Average Horror
JSplend95415 June 2019
I'm really not into the horror films, and after watching the first five minutes of this, I was ready to shut it off. But, I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. This is more of a thriller than a horror, but there is some serious gore. So much so, that you may have to look away at some of the scenes. You definitely don't want to grab a bite to eat and start watching this. Eric Roberts was perfect in his role as the villain. One word to describe him -" CREEPY ". All in all it kept your attention and more than likely you'll see this play out till the end. If your thinking this is a type of Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street - it's not - it's a whole different animal.

I guess Eric Roberts will do anything for a buck
ghostjf-3300122 June 2019
Terrible acting, poor camera work, and mediocre plot. According to IMDB the budget was $300,000. I wonder how much of that was for Eric Roberts. This is the second low budget flick with him I've seen in the last week. Apparently he is in the "I'll do anything for a buck" mode. When I see the favorable reviews for this movie I have to believe those folks were somehow connected to the production.

Stupid. Bad.
JonnyDR7528 July 2023
It's my own fault for watching a D-List horror movie after seeing Eric Roberts in the first scene, as everyone knows if there's one actor who will do any bad horror film, it's Eric Roberts. "I hate a crying woman," he says, just to let us know he's a bad guy. Roberts aside, the really bad part of this movie is the writing and direction. While the actors are serviceable, they are basically written and directed to act nonchalant as the main character proceeds to have a massive, bloody, masochistic meltdown. When the leading lady places her hand on a hot electric stovetop, her bff standing next to her reacts as if she smudged her mascara, even as her friend is pulling her hand off the stove and leaving large chunks of skin behind. All her friends seems to be sure she'll be fine. What could possibly go wrong?

WHY Warning: Spoilers
As TERRIBLE as the gore and TJ's death was to watch. The storyline was decent. It could've be an eight star plus rating but writers and actors fell short. I watched the entire movie and was left feeling blah. It's almost 2020 and people still releasing mediocre bs called horror films. If this was 1982 this film would've definitely received better ratings. WHOEVER worked on this from directing, editing, producing PLEASE do better next time or just get a new profession.

Downloaded this film and all I can say is that Fast Forward is brilliant. It took me about 15 minutes to watch this crap which was 15 minutes too much. Get the idea???!!!

Terrible acting, terrible story, terrible effects, terrible waste of £300k making this rubbish.

Her friend's were weirdly OK with her self-harm
phantommullet-9243418 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't select this movie, it was a Tubi auto-play after another stinker ("Truth or Double Dare"), but I decided to give it a try.

First thing I saw was Eric Roberts top billed which meant I was in for a cheapo movie with little to no plot.

So the movie starts with a girl going nuts while her elderly father makes her breakfast, and then she kills him for some reason. Then we just hard cut to two couples vacationing in the (the same?) cabin. Eric Roberts insists on buying the lead's coffee, which is our catalyst.

She just keeps burning, cutting, and mutilating herself for no apparent reason, and her boyfriend and friends just keep letting her bandage it rather than taking her to the hospital. By morning, she is killing them, and then Eric Roberts shows back up to say he drugged her to make her internal suppressed anger (?) rise because he hates their generation? Really dumb ending.

We then end on Eric Roberts, dressed like a janitor at an elementary school. Is this implying that he is just a janitor, or is he going to make those kids all kill each other?

Giving it a 2nd star just because the cinematography was not offensive. Sound design was ok. Would not watch again or recommend.

Don't drink the tea
johnc214113 June 2019
Looking for a good chiller on amazon prime is not easy they have a lot of crappy stupid horror movies on zero budgets and look awful from the pictures. But this one is kind of a gem in the rough. And has Eric Roberts as a real creepy dude. No spoilers, But when people go to secluded cabins in the woods away from everything and no cell phone service that indeed is a bad sign. This is a real nail biter and very creepy for a low budget flick, I am a fan of Eric Roberts that's probably what prompted me to watch this film. His sister Julia gets more attention and better roles And Eric And his daughter Emma do the horror flicks. If you happen to be scrolling for a decent thriller then I recommend this .

Terrible evil
shellygray-6716629 June 2019
This is the worst movie I have ever watch. This has Stephen King like the muppets producer. If you let your children watch this you are in the wrong.

it must be the period
ops-5253522 June 2019
But as itll show its not the period. its the story about two young pairs going to a cabin in winterly virginia when strange things starts to happen after meeting a stranger in a kafe. There are also the cell signal problem as it has been in 10000 movies over the past 20 years, i remember the days when i knew every phone box or booth in my hometown haugesund, but that was before the time before time..... The acting are made from a cast of five, and it works pretty fine. its the usual wordflow over the kitcen bench making salad a social getogether and so on. the filming are pretty good, with some mirrorshoots that are pretty technical to manage. the blood and gore a spot on and very abrupt, and i felt the gutwrenching feeling more than once. the moral is dont be lazy, and do the work properly and well because you youth are just asking and never giving.

the grumpy old man fell dead for this one, i enjoyed the starting sequence with its anarythmic drums, and can with the scratch of the knife recommend this one.

There's nothing wrong with Vikki, there's just a whole lot wrong with this film.
LordCommandar25 June 2019
I saw the trailer and whenever it's horror (especially black actors and I'm not being bias) I already know it's gonna suck worse than their white counter parts. Because the script is never written well for black actors, especially when it comes to the male roles. Overall horror films today suck major ass, so I know just from watching the trailer with Eric Roberts, this is just another stink-fest. There's nothing wrong with Vikki, but there is a lot wrong with this film.
