I will admit to not seeing many modern Japanese films outside of the popular Miyazaki films. I will also admit (though it is obvious from the list below) that I am a big Kurosawa fan. You will also note that I haven't fallen in love with many Ozu films (which may be considered blasphemy if I want to say I'm a Japanese film fan) but I do tend to like almost all of his films. I am very open to suggestions of others to watch. All films included are 7/10 or higher.
