My top Directors of all-time

In order to create a list of my all-time favorite directors, I created a formula that takes into account the mean and median value for each director (slightly favoring mean over median), as well as the number of films seen. Over time I've tweaked the formula to now also include average of their top 10 films and average of their top 5 films to add greater weight to the best a director has produced.

In order to qualify for the list, I must have seen at least 3 movies by the director for them to be ranked (the lowest among the top 75 on my list is 5 films), and at least one must be ranked 9 or higher. Documentaries, TV shows, and shorts are not included in their rankings.

I feel this is a pretty accurate list. If I've seen more movies of a director it tends to mean that I have enjoyed their films enough to seek out others or that they have at least been recognized as having more good films. I also didn't want to penalize directors for me seeking out some of their lesser known (and in most cases worse) work because I liked many of their other works when the same wouldn't be done for other directors (prime example: Sergio Leone's 'The Colossus of Rhodes'). I also feel a 3 movie minimum keeps people from simply having 1 great film being considered. It also for the most part takes away people who have only done one great series (though this maybe isn't taken into account as much as it should be).
