Loki from the Marvel's Avenger series, Thor's bad boy 'brother' or should we say bad boy wannabe as he is terrible at it, but so much fun to watch trying.

3. Jeremy Irons

I love Jeremy whatever he plays in. That voice... but he is particularly effective as a villain. The first time I really noticed him was in a Bruce Willis flick playing the horribly written Simon Gruber. The role was terribly written, but Jeremy managed to make it interesting and exciting anyway. Not seeing him, but hearing that incredible voice was electric and I have been hooked on watching him every since.

4. Jeffrey Dean Morgan

you talk about a man that has been snubbed more times for oscar than any other and Samuel L. Jackson is the top of the list. He is one of the top grossing actors of our time and he should own 10, but has none. Hollywood is not color blind. Nonetheless, Jackson perseveres and he does some of his best work as a bad guy. Interestingly enough some of his good guy roles are very bad guy like. :) You either love him or you hate him. There is no in between with Sam. I love him.

Aunt Lydia from the Handmaid's Tale. You hate her with a purple passion, but the show would be just another pale ugly regime story without her heinous cruelty.

Mainly for her role as Bellatrix LeStrange. I will never forgive her for killing Sirius Black.

I've never really warmed to this guy in anything he is done. He rubs me the wrong way.In every role I've ever seen him cast in he has one full of himself act that he can't seem to step past. I always have the feeling that the foremost thing on is his mind is how he is doing, not how the production as a whole might be doing. That said, however, that makes him a great villain and he does have acting chops -- certainly better than average. He was very good in Rome. His role as Blackjack Randall actually made me queasy and that is quite a compliment. Really, that is saying something. I don't get the vapors for just anyone. Alternatively he also plays Frank on that same show and his role as Frank, the good man, seems stilted and well, acted. I didn't buy it even before I discovered his dual role. If he rang me up and asked me if I'd like to go for a cuppa joe, I'd have to beg off. Sorry, Tobias, I'm sure I'm misjudging you. YOu did your job too well.
