I have a serious love/hate relationship with this film.

I love it because it is a genuine quality film, perhaps the best X-Men film to date. Certainly in the top 3.

However, I hate it because it broke me. It shattered my soul into a million pieces. It took away the only 2 people that I truly cared about in this franchise. The two best actors to have ever taken on a superhero role. No actor will ever embody their role to the same degree that Hugh Jackman & Patrick Stewart.

This film takes a franchise that I grew up with and love, and it brings it to an abrupt end... You will be missed

2. Split (IX) (2016)

PG-13 | 117 min | Horror, Thriller

63 Metascore

Three girls are kidnapped by a man with a diagnosed 23 distinct personalities. They must try to escape before the apparent emergence of a frightful new 24th.

Director: M. Night Shyamalan | Stars: James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Haley Lu Richardson, Jessica Sula

Votes: 553,188 | Gross: $138.29M

M.Night is back!! This movie is the first to have genuinely scared me in years. Such a great directorial effort. Most of all however, James McAvoy give one of the most versatile performances that I have ever had the pleasure to witness. I know this came out in very early 2017, but I still hope that McAvoy will be considered by the academy.
