Dave filoni What a true gift you are.

This is pretty impressive , reviving a bad ass anti hero is what this show needs. Remarkabe episode , from music to emotions from graphics to suspense

Splendid job.

That beautiful character!!!! I was freaked out about him as a kid watching clone wars, and now he's back! Bring it on. The bad batch started slow but now with the Bracca Arc, I'm loving it! Let's go!

Reunion
kaden_lewis18 June 2021
This was definitely a top three episode along with the premier and the last episode. The show is starting to find its footing. There hasn't been a filler episode since episode 6, and although there will probably be a couple here and there later in the show, I have a feeling there won't be many.

This episode was really good and a lot of things happened, I won't get into spoilers, but I will say we finally got to see Crosshair for the first time since episode 3, we finally got a brief Camino scene as well, and the ending was completely unexpected. It truly does leave you needing to see what happens next right now, but obviously we have to Wait a week. I honestly can't wait.

MORE REUNIONS THAN ANTICIPATED

The payoff! Outstanding episode with near perfect tension both in acting and score. With an ending that is arguably the best since Clones Wars or The Mandalorian.

The best episode yet!
dominikthoma-0037718 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Finally, the main story progresses. The encounter between the Bad Batch and Crosshair is surprisingly tense. This is what this series can and should be. But the best moment of this episode definitely is the Sergio Leone style duel between Hunter and Cad Bane, which concludes in the capture of Omega.

A very strong episode, and I have a great feeling about this that the best is yet to come!

Incredible episode!
lucafrieling18 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's awesome to see we're really getting somewhere with the story this episode.

Don't get me wrong, I love all of the little side missions, but don't we all secretly want big episodes like these?

Let's start with this: Cad.. fricking.. Bane! Amazing to see he's back, and maybe even better to see how the fight scene resembled a deleted clone wars scene.

It's obvious Bane was hired by the Kaminoans to hunt down Omega. They wanted to create the next phase of clone troopers so they don't lose their business with the Empire.

Great to see Crosshair again, wondering if the fire from the engine did anything to his chip?

Anyways, great episode, amazing soundtrack and good tension throughout the episode. Now let's wait for the next episode!

Look who's back.
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic23 May 2022
Very good episode with beautiful animation.

The previous episode looked really great and was a strong episode which was a big improvement after a bunch of filler episodes. This episode builds on that with more excellent animation and an enjoyable plot which moves the story forward.

Crosshair is pursuing his old comrades amongst the wreckage of starships and another returning character makes a great return.

The series finally was starting to live up to its strong opening episode after treading water for several episodes.

My rating: 8.5/10.

Reunion
lassegalsgaard18 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We knew that after last week's episode, this would be something memorable. It would be something that would set the course for the next couple of episodes and maybe even the entire season. I was excited, but I didn't know that I was going to walk away from this episode desperately wishing that it were already next week. Last week's episode was the best since the premiere. Now, I believe this may have taken that spot, if not replaced the premiere as the best of the season due to its incredible cat-and-mouse storyline and the return of a familiar face that left my mouth open.

There's a reason why we need to have a lot of setups before we get to treat ourselves. If we just got episodes like this every week, we would be spoiled, and nobody wants that. (Ha!) This episode felt much more earned given the build-up that the series has had beforehand, and with the incredible tension now at a boiling point, everything culminated in a satisfying meetup between the batch and their former teammate. The cat-and-mouse element of the episode was a clear highlight, and I love the fact that they're constantly trying to outdo their own techniques and doing things they wouldn't normally due since the enemy has one of their own. It adds a lot of development and layers to characters that came across as a bit one-note during their initial debut in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." The episode then culminates in the return of someone unexpected, but someone who I've wanted to see since his last appearance in the previous show, and the way they used him here gave the right amount of tease and the right amount of please. But the best part of the episode is that it gives us a lot of things to look forward to. It seems like the last couple of episodes have teased something coming up, but never to the great extend of this episode. I'm so excited to see where this all lead, and how it will factor into Omega's storyline and her development that she's in the position she is in now.

"Reunion" may be my favorite episode of the show so far. It comes down to a greatly written half hour of TV that gave me everything I expected it to, yet delivered on so much more, despite me having a few nitpicks that aren't even worth mentioning because of their almost petty-like level of relevance.

Filoni overseeing another master piece!
ha77y73ad9723 June 2021
Filoni overseeing another master piece of star wars, there were a few fillers over the last few weeks but hopefully the 3 story arc is coming back with the return to Bracca. Even returning to planet that was created for a game just shows how far the story telling that a producer can create when he knows what hes talking about.

This was a dark, emotional story of more than one reunion. Seeing Crosshairs being beaten by the ingenuity of the team just proves how that chip slows down the individual. Seeing all the clone wars tech and the know how that the Bad Batch have gathered whilst on Jedi Cruisers is great.

But no one can deny that the final moments of the episode were epic! Not going to spoil it here but the FPV of Hunter being dragged onto the ship really takes me back to the Republic Commandos game!

Exceptional

Warning: Spoilers
The writers have invested a lot of thought into this and I thank them for it. The linkage to Clone Wars, the potentially for a Cad/Boba showdown, the nods to Fallen Order. They wobbled by reintroducing the sisters but other than that this episode and series is outstanding.

Less Than Expected, but Still Pretty Good
vbalodi18 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The explosive encounter between Crosshair and the Batch that we were promised happens in a pretty rocky way. It starts off strong, misses the mark in the middle, and then has a weird ending.

The animation was brilliant, and gave some of the most beautiful shots of the show yet. And that deserves all the praise one can give. The music, especially in the final few minutes was really well done.

All the pieces set in the beginning, do connect together in the episode, and in a satisfying way. The defusal practice gives more time for Wrecker and Omega's relationship to grow, but we'll get back to that later. The middle half has a single fight scene, which gives a pretty shaky reunion between the old friends, and does nothing to change the plot except for a fleeting reference to the inhibitor chips. The escape is pretty fun, but nothing interesting, and the ending is related to the next point.

The biggest problem that The Bad Batch has even now, is how it handles the titular group of heroes. The only members of the group which I feel I know are Hunter, Wrecker and Omega. They are the only people who are given moments to shine. Tech and Echo exist as side characters who still have unique personalities, but only show up for a dialogue or two. Tech, especially, is used only to get them out of technology related situations and is not useful otherwise. Echo still does not earn his place in the Batch. Being one of my favorite clones from TCW, it hurts. He does not show any special abilities or is not different from Rex in any way. Just having a personality does not give him that spot. He must have a place, effect and use in the story. For example, think how much better it would have been, if Omega was doing defusal training with Tech, who knows everything about these devices. Just because Wrecker likes to blow things up does not mean he should get that spot.

The ending with Cad Bane did have me really excited to see his character again and I loved how his appearence was handled, although this does bring up the question of where Fennec Shand is, and why she did not accept the request (although this might play into the mystery of her original hirer). Hunter getting hit was a major moment, and one I hoped was used better. If he was not able to get up, and was unconscious for the rest of the episode, it would have given that much needed moment of the rest of the main characters to show their worth.

The next episode has more promise than this one. However, atleast the show is really coming into it's own.

So, overall, animation and music were impressive. The different threads were connected well, and bringing back Bane was a beautiful decision. Echo and Tech could still be explored a lot more, and the ending missed the opportunity to do that. I'd rate it like this -

Animation, Music, etc. - 4/4 Plot - 2/3 Characters - 2/3.

#2 Episode of the series by Far
hammerhead-dk18 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Best moment- Wrecker kissing the proton torpedo... Classic- I was hoping to see Fennen instead of Cad Bane, I am truly NOT a fan of Bane. Like c'mon he has survived Jedi/other bounty hunters and 'defective' CLONE FORCE 99? So you can see the trepidation. If you bring Cad into the mix, you might as well re-introduce a young Boba Fett as well. Sometimes I think Filoni will TRY to hard, make it easy. You really don't have to do too much and I think he did do TOO MUCH-

At first I was all in on this episode, don't get me wrong, excellent episode, but Star Wars fans are really NOT that hard to please. So back up Filoni and bit and LISTEN to the fans, don't be like Lucas and prove to us (Fans) about your ego. It is NOT needed or WANTED...

Bring Boba Fett into the mix.

I thought for a hot second, you better NOT kill off Hunter, so we are good now.

Improvement on Storytelling
kaczkahans19 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The last two episodes have been a lot better than the previous ones. That's something you can work on. Hopefully they don't devolve again. The episodes has still problems which could be avoided.

1) Why do the Clones search the area so sloppily? I mean, do you want to tell me that they aren't able to at least take a look at every possible places they could be? Apparently not.

2) Why does Crosshair hesitate and doesn't kill them immediately? It doesn't make any sense.

I'm not gonna complain too hard on the storytelling of this episode but that's still really dumb if you think about it.

3) To Crosshair's second plan. He thought they will come out because they won't have another choice. It wasn't obvious that the Bad Batch had explosives with them, so it wasn't a bad plan,it had just bad payoff for him. He really looks like Dengar in his last shot I think it was. WAs that just a nice Easter egg or is he gonna become Dengar? I'm not sure if Dengar's origin story has parallels to legends or not.

There's more than one reunion here!
Trey_Trebuchet25 August 2021
This really is one of the best episodes. It was really well directed, the tension was pretty high, the animation is as great as always, and I loved Kiner's music. All of this leads to a great cliffhanger with one of my favorite characters from the Clone Wars series, who I have missed quite a bit! Great from beginning to end.
