Warning: Spoilers
Okay let me start with venting out my anger first so I can get over with it. WHY THE HELL are the boys that mean to Bobby? Man, I know they are worried about him and all and they can see what will eventually happen to him. But, excuse me this is just plain crap, God knows how much they (and we)have been sorely missing the guy and we are worried too. But please at least give the guy some credit, give him the benefit of doubt. He did save the day eventually, and he for sure believed in the boys when they were hitting their lowest.(Okay,Okay,Breath,Breath!)

I had high expectations watching this episode, Yet I'm left rather a bit disappointed after watching it a couple of times. I know lots of fans loved it, I don't hate it for sure. It had a fresh feeling to it and I could swear while watching it I thought myself viewing Ocean's 11 or something like that rather than my favourite TV show. I loved the directing and the split screens, I enjoyed seeing the boys get creative again and use another disguise rather than doing their usual FBI thing, I loved seeing Sam channel his inner Harry Potter fan boy with Charlie and I caught myself smiling open wide while watching Dean help Charlie flirt her way into the office while Sammy is giggling in the background. I just loved the script.

I'm not familiar with Felicia Day's work but she was a lovable guest star with a geeky attitude and an unusual personality. Dick Roman too was way too snarky with a superior intimidating attitude, However something in the way he spelled the words out annoyed me.

Yet something felt off for me, Something was missing, I don't know why I felt disappointed, Other than the Bobby issue, I didn't like seeing the boys pushed back into the supporting cast for the third episode in the row, The Levithans' master plan came no surprise to me, most fans figured it out after "Out with the old" and I wished the writers had something more surprising in mind.

Supernatural: Party On, Garth (2012)
Season 7, Episode 18
7/10
You've been Garthed!
4 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Well I might not be crazy about Garth, but as Dean said he sure grows on you. He is far more balanced than most hunters we have crossed paths with over the years, (He is sure as Hell more balanced than our very own Sam and Dean). He is awkward, silly, cute and he has a relationship with someone for crying out loud! Mr. Fizzles may have been a bit over the top but who didn't enjoy Dean's reaction to it (Priceless). Garth also had enough smarts to figure out the brewery's partner illegitimate son and he could put together clues about Bobby's spirit (Oh Bobby!) I would enjoy seeing him every now and then but no more Garth centric episodes especially this late in the season

"Party on,Garth" might not top my favourite episodes list but the ending took it from being mediocre to epic. Oh my God Bobbyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I could swear my heart literally stopped upon seeing that magnificent man gracing my Laptop screen again. Oh You won't believe how much I missed you Jim Beaver. You sly sly mean guy you fooled us all with all the talk about the Snowman movie, And I can't believe how much effort the crew of Supernatural have put to keep us from being spoiled. Now I hate you all but I guess I love you even more. Would you bring back the Impala please?!

Jensen Ackles once again delivered a brilliant performance conveying the many sides of Dean. Dean is frustrated, childish and desperate. His scene when he was pleading with Bobby's spirit to give him any sign, was massively heart breaking with Sam lurking in the back ground. I couldn't stop laughing on drunk Dean ("Me likey") and how childish he was spitting the liquor back in the glass upon getting caught.

Sam is trying to find his ground again after passing on the crazy to Cas. He is far more relaxed but guilty for what happened to the nerd Angel, he is once again re assuming his role as Dean's partner and co worker. I enjoyed his smug attitude when he matched Dean with drunk Garth. Sam is trying to find logic within the strange appearances that's been surrounding them especially after being disappointed so many times. He wished to spare Dean this disappointment upon using the talk board because he went a little nuts and couldn't trust himself back then so why drag Dean into this heartache!

Finally the MOTW was interesting, a nice call to Japanese scary creatures. If I have to complain about this episode, I would say I don't like it when the boys act as a supporting cast to a guest star. And I might not be an expert about getting drunk, (I have never tasted liquor in my life, for religious reasons) but every one seemed to get intoxicated very quickly. (But hey I can live with drunk Sam and Dean on every episode);)

Supernatural: The Born-Again Identity (2012)
Season 7, Episode 17
9/10
Finding a new ten
29 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Would you believe me if I say this was the one episode I was dying to see since Supernatural was back in September? I have been waiting to see how would Sam's other shoe drop! I have to say after watching this episode all week I'm still having conflicted feelings about it. I sure am excited, happy, disappointed, confused, frustrated but above all in love for my all time favorite TV show. I'm surprised but glad that Sam's downfall was a simple state of insomnia. But before I say anything further, Let me give praise to Jared Padalecki, hats off to you Jared, no words can give this guy enough credit for such a magnificent performance. After 5 days without sleep, Sam takes off seeking drugs (This is the guy who refused Dean's pills after his first glimpse behind the wall) it doesn't work and He is hit by a car and admitted to a hospital, where he is transferred to a locked psych ward, Moreover the doctors fail to put him to sleep no matter how much sedatives they give him (I'm a bit confused about why didn't he go under, some fans speculate this was because of the daemon blood, However on season 5 "Sam interrupted" he seemed normally affected by tranquillizers). Desperate but determined like a true Winchester, Dean promises his brother to find help but Sam is just resigned and willing to die simply because he is "too tired" (again when one of the Winchesters says this word, my heart is crushed into a million pieces, John said it, then Dean said it but it stung even more to hear it coming out of Sam's mouth since he was the one who wouldn't give up no matter what) So Dean (in a reminiscent act of season one's "Faith") goes to seek help from every hunter in Bobby's phone book.

Bits and pieces:

1- Again with the probability of ghost Bobby, Is he really still watching over the boys? I hope so.

2- I Love Mark Pelligrino and I think he makes a wonderful Lucifer, But I wished he would spare Sam for like 5 freaking minutes.

3- I'm not as excited to see Cas back (duck now, flying tomatoes) I used to love Cas on seasons 4 and 5 but he lost me on season 6 the moment he said Hello. Cas hurt Sam and for me even his act of sacrifice doesn't redeem him. (Crazy Fan girl moment here)

4- On a really shallow side note, But does every crazy person look as pretty as Sam? don't lose the scurf.

5-I loved Sam and Marin and though the ghost hunt was a little forced, (otherwise Sam would have nothing to do but sit with his hallucinations) They had a good chemistry and I'm glad Sam was still caring to save some one's life even in his time of pure adversity. Sam didn't think twice before offering to help another troubled soul. Besides I'm glad he found some kind of distraction away from Hallucifer.

6- Jensen was brilliant as always. He gave us a mature Dean, a determined one to save his little brother even if he had to work with the enemy even if he had to forgive his friend's betrayal. Dean did what he did best; He reached out with love to help both his brother and his old friend. The trench coat scene almost brought me to tears (But it was too rushed to appreciate the rush of emotions flowing from these two magnificent actors) However I find it hard to believe that Dean brought Cas's coat with him everywhere, Still Cas did the ultimate mistake in Dean's book by hurting Sam.

7- So Meg is back. Will she really be an ally to them? Or will she sell them out to Crowley if that could save her? Are those daemons really Crowley's hit men or are they on her team to convince Dean to make the full blown Angel trust her? Only time will tell.

8- It was a perfect montage when Cas regained his memory. Misha did a wonderful job portraying Cas's remorse and regret over his past mistakes.

9- I really freaked out when I saw a lock of Sam's hair falling, No please not the beautiful hair.

10- So Hallucifer wasn't enough for Sam? So daemon's decide to torture him by the electro shock. Stop Hurting Sam Winchester.

11- Lol at Lucifer reading "Three little pigs".

12- How did Cas shift Sam's problems? Don't try to figure it out, I hurt my head trying to come up with a convincing theory so now I'm resigned to wait and see. I can't deny that I was disappointed with the way they solved things and I fear that we are supposed to feel sorry for Cas now that he had to take on that weight but after doing some major rethinking, I think there was just no other way to get Sam back on his feet.

13- Did Sam find his 10? I mean what else on earth or in Hell does this guy have to go through? So please stop hurting the guy and give him something good even for one time. The writers enjoy hurting this poor guy yet he never complains and never gives up and that's exactly what I love about him.

Finally If I have to complain about anything, I would say it was too crowded, the end was rushed and I hoped for more brotherly moments instead of separating the boys for most of the time.

Supernatural: Out with the Old (2012)
Season 7, Episode 16
9/10
Heavy
21 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe we survived another Hellatus. Supernatural is finally back with one heavy episode. I can't deny I had a hard time finding proper words to describe this one. I watched "Out with the Old" three times already, The first time I was too excited to have the show back that I couldn't process it properly, the second time to digest that whole bunch of events and the third time to be able to write a proper comment about it. However to be completely honest I still can't and I'm confused about giving it an 8 or a 9 out of 10, so as usual I go with 9, So yeah I like it.

In a shot out to one of my favourite season three episodes "Bad day at black Rock", The boys run across a case where an antique store sells cursed objects, Only to collide with some Levaithans that act as real estate agents buying everything in town. Meanwhile Sam comes clean to Dean about his Lucifer hallucinations and we get a glimpse of how dangerous Sam's situation would be.(OH Poor poor Sammy)

Bits and pieces:

1- I know the budget might be a little too tight for the show, But I wish they would ditch the blood spatter thing it is being used way too much lately and as cool as it may be, it is starting too lose the awesome factor.

2- Lol at Dean watching Black Swan TWICE, "the depth of your..."

3- SO SO sad to see Sam trying desperately to fight the Lucifer hallucinations and it is heartbreaking that he doesn't even bother to finish the joke. :(

4- Oh yes, we finally see snow in the show, it's been a long time and it was a brilliant scenery to see the boys in.

5- Dean getting kicked in the face twice by a little girl, do I even need words?! (Though I wonder, Why didn't Daddy officer follow the strange FBI guys into the ladies-room where his girl was?)

6- It was hilarious to see Dean lovingly eyeing the Ballet shoes (and I can't imagine the scenarios that ran through fans' heads wishing to see Dean in them), Also seeing Sam run around on the street carrying those shoes made me laugh my fool head off.

7- Is it me or did that Scott guy seem stoned?

8- If you think a Ballerina that dances her self to death is gruesome, wait till you watch the Tea pot. (Only in supernatural you can really turn the most harmless objects to weapons of mass destruction, Lol) I literally hide my head with both arms on the first watch in front of my Laptop and then looked around checking to see if my parents were watching me and wondering if I have gone insane. I kept gasping first thinking she would chop her fingers off with this knife, only to find it much much worse, Kudos for the special effects team on that scene, now thanks to you I'm scared for life.

9- Okay okay I'm a detail freak but didn't it seem strange that the woman and the boy didn't seem to panic much when a strange man barged into their home?

10- Nice tip Dean, But were you advising Scott or yourself? Anyway I'm so glad that Dean seems to be getting his grip on things and we haven't seen him drink in a while.

11- Thought the MOTW story was wrapped up too soon, Nice weaving the Levaithan story into it and I really enjoyed Joyce and George.

12- I don't know about you, but I kept screaming at the screen " Wake up Sam" OMG I'm very scared for that man. And yes Sam, Sleep deprivation is torture, You ask me.

13- "you see a Winchester, you don't eat him, You tell me and I eat him"

14- Lucifer singing "stairway to Heaven", We should've seen that.

15- Sam and Dean in a gallery café, That right there is scary, Ha.

16- Sam here was in no shape to go through that fight, Luckily for him and for us, George was too tired of his boss.

17- Cure cancer! Yeah right like we don't know better.

18- Frank might not be my favourite but I'll be sad to see him go. We have dealt with enough losses already and I for sure will miss his snarky conversations with Dean.

Jensen Ackles gave us a new side of Dean, He is worried about his brother, he keeps giving out concerned looks and keeps telling Sam to get some sleep and though I was initially angry that he can't see how serious the problem really is (or he might be hoping that Sam would find a way to cope with it again), I was glad that he didn't force his will on Sam and trusting him on the job. However I wished Dean would slip something in Sam's drink, The guy needs to sleep or he will die.

Jared Padalecki, What can I say! I grew to love this man over the years and I have been re-watching some of the old episodes lately, only to notice how far he has grown as an actor. Sam is honest with his brother about his hallucinations, he is too tired, incoherent, impatient, nervous, resigned and has no energy to sympathize with others. And though we couldn't see Lucifer, Jared made him present through facial expressions, blinks and his nervous posture and Kodus for the make up team, for Jared really looked sleep deprived.

Any way get ready for next Friday, keep your napkins close for I will. The sneak a peek clip is heartbreaking already and I wonder how will the rest be. And finally, Congratulations Jared and Gen for Padababy.

Supernatural: Repo Man (2012)
Season 7, Episode 15
8/10
Wow!
22 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Wow Ben Edlund should write every episode on supernatural. The guy is a brilliantly evil genius who has rarely disappointed us so far. He again writes a new master piece for the decent going season 7. I'm falling in love with the show over and over again.

Mark Pellegrino, Man you make my day. I don't know if I'm evil by saying every time I see Lucifer on screen I widely smile cheek to cheek. I feel sorry about Sam, I sincerely do with all my heart and I can't wait for the extremely long unpleasant hiatus to know what happens next, But seeing Lucifer on screen gives me a surge of happiness that I rarely get on any show on TV. The man is magnificent, evil, manipulative, cunning and even acting as a petulant child sometimes. (I totally dig the forked tongue, Nice touch!)

There has been a lot of speculations about the flashbacks whether it was on season 3 or 4, don't try to figure it out every body couldn't put their fingers on the exact time, However I tend to the idea of it being towards the end of season three and I'm really glad to see the Metallicar back (even if it was a flashback for a brief moment) and the Samulet.

For the second episode in a row, We didn't see Dean drink, which in my book is a good thing but at the same time he seemed less and less interested in the job he was more keen to go after Dick (about whom he has no info what so ever) he didn't even try to get out of bed to listen to the police radio and more and more (to my extreme discontent) he seemed oblivious of Sam's true mental state, Or was Sam a good actor trying to hide the horror show going inside his head 24/7? No Dean, I'm really angry with you, You know better than that and I don't think he will handle it well when "the other shoe drops" and Sam goes completely insane.

Oh poor poor Sammy, What can I possibly say? My heart breaks for the guy, He can never win, No matter how hard he tries, He always looses. Sam has made some shady choices in the past with good intentions and it costed him a lot, He had to sacrifice himself and be damned for eternity of torture in Hell to redeem himself and save the world. But even when he was granted another chance he had to yet suffer again the 24/7 Lucifer hallucinations. Oh Sammy, Peeking inside your head this time made me feel a great awe for you. How strong can someone be to withhold that level of cruelty inside his head all the time, While trying to hide it and function properly on the job? Sam had yet again to sacrifice his sanity to save his big brother, Letting the Devil back in with no chance of turning back or blocking him again. How long will he hide that new state from Dean before he would crumble down? Oh March 9th, Why don't you come already? or is it March 16th? no please no.

The casting was brilliant, I missed daemon stories, exorcism spells, Devil traps and the black smoke. Russell Sams was perfect in his role switching smoothly from a daemon to an innocent man to a crazy psychopath. Nicole Oliver and Jeffrey Ballard were good choices too. The lights and the directing are yet another Supernatural masterpiece.

"If it bleeds, you can kill it" true.........but What if it is a creepy clown that bleeds glitter!!!!!
12 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
It is very extremely interesting that though the Winchester boys are practically two tough hunters who both had gone to Hell and back, still carry out ordinary childish phobias. Like Dean's fear of flying and germs, Sam is still scarred by a childhood experience that kept him terrified of clowns. OK lets admit it, Clowns are creepy, I have no fear for them but never liked them as well, with all their freakish color and creepy smiles, I can't see how does children find them amusing.

With Yet another brilliant stand alone episode, Supernatural invites us to explore a pure piece of art, Writers Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loflin cheer fans up with a brilliant story, giving us our own old Sam and Dean, reminding us why we used to love the show in the first place. Starting with the beautifully done colored title card, We accompany the boys on an ordinary MOTW hunt where they are just brothers teasing each other and enjoying their job once again, With no trace of the gloomy angst that has been clouding the air of season seven so far.

With no "dick on Dick" and no leads on the Amazonians, The brothers take a job in Kansas where people die by Octovamps, unicorns and shark attacks in ball pools. Sam is forced to go back to a place where he has to face his worst childhood fear.

It was extremely good to see Dean in a good mood and drinks nothing but coffee which we didn't see on the show since God knows when. He seemed to have learned his lesson from last week, hence putting new rules (no babies, no hot chicks, no booze, Which is kinda sad but hey this is Dean , he didn't hesitate to go check out the naughty hot nanny). Dean was so adorable with his geeky attitude over the giant slinky. I enjoyed Dean's interaction with Tyler and his heart felt laugh at the end, (We haven't seen Dean laugh like that since season five's "Free to be you and me") and it was good that even Sam seemed to enjoy making his brother laugh that hard. I was touched when Dean apologized to Sam for psychologically scarring his childhood (But Yeah Dean really which time?).

On Season Two it was well established that Sam has a crippling clown-o- phobia due to some unknown childhood trauma, and though we are provided some insight on why he had this kind of fear due to Dean ditching him in a lame place with puke smell, grainy ice cream and creepy clowns (It's nice that the show reminds us how Dean was practically Sam's primary caregiver), Yet judging on his reaction to Dean's question "What in the world did they do to you?", I still think there is more to Sam's clown story. Jared Padalecki delivered a great comic performance portraying Sam's fear of clowns (Who said that guy can't do comedy) and I absolutely liked his bad cop performance which was utterly ridiculous (and I find it great that we saw no traces of soulless Sam during this). However, I personally think this episode explored Sam's state of mind in a beautiful way, having him repeating Dean's words "if it bleeds you can kill it" like a mantra in his head, showing how much vulnerable the guy is and how much he is depending on his elder brother's support in his time of ordeal and I'm sacred to see what will happen when Lucifer makes his powerful appearance next week (We all know that won't be pretty for Sammy, yet I can't wait to see what happens).

Finally I enjoyed the old school brotherly scene beside the non-Impala with a glittery Sam and a Joyous Dean. I loved the motel room and I'm certainly adding it to my personal favorites. And did anyone notice the "no sideburns" on the employee rules board? That was smart:)

Supernatural: The Slice Girls (2012)
Season 7, Episode 13
7/10
Way too dark
6 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
After last episode aired I was this happy fan that thought herself lucky to get some of her favourite moments. I ended up wishing Dean would listen to Ness's advice, But I know it's not sunshine and rainbows and I can't expect Dean to be that carefree happy person we knew long ago, Yet at least I didn't expect this level of regression. I'm still confused about "The slice girls" it might not be the best episode but not bad either and I will certainly watch it again. And though it is very dark (but for some enjoyable brotherly teasing) it opened so many threads for discussion among the fans in the last couple of days.

1- Is Bobby a ghost? I think the show is headed in that direction but I hope he is not. I love Bobby and I want him back so badly but this magnificent character got a perfect very well deserved farewell episode that I hope they won't ruin it by getting him back as a ghost.

2- Is Sam a hero or a bad guy for killing Emma? And did Emma deserve to die? Yes she did, from the moment that girl was born we all knew she won't last long and it was no surprise she died as she would for sure have killed her daddy if "Uncle Sam" didn't save the day. (And I say would have killed Dean because for me, Dean felt like the guilt burdened Dean from "Defending your life" who didn't lift a finger to save his life and even though he was holding a gun this time, I still doubt he would have shot her, anyway I will get to that point later). As for Sam he is neither a hero nor a bad guy, He was just doing his job and please give me a moment to explain. Sam is on the verge of insanity, He is clearly keeping his focus on work and worrying about Dean (his only stable rock) because like Dean he has lost everything and all he got now is his older brother who has in turn lost interest in everything and is crumbling down. So Sam needs to focus to weigh things on the scale of black and white, no time for shades of gray, He had to intervene quickly to save his brother referring his act to what Dean had told him about Amy a few months earlier. It was not an act of revenge for killing his friend but a pure act of loyalty towards his big brother, carrying out his burden for him, doing what seemed to be too difficult for Dean to carry out. Sam is hanging by a thread and all is keeping him together is Dean, he is angry because Dean is not caring about survival any more, So he goes as far as begging his older brother not to get killed and my heart breaks for the guy.

3- I always liked the Greek mythology and I was very glad they brought the Amazonians on the show, yet I was left disappointed for not giving us a chance to further explore this episode's MOTW, However I find it smart that the writers chose to kill them with plain guns which is not usual on the show. On the other hand I find the Amazonians very stupid to try to take out two hunters with no plan or back up and I think they might be back some time soon on the show again.

4- I have to mention that I really hated the camera close ups on the faces and the eyes and I found them totally distracting and pointless. As for Alexia Fast, she was OK in her role, she might not be the best guest star on the show but she was not bad. But I have to ask what does the girl have against Dean, it's the second time we see her holding a knife on the guy?

5- Finally I get back to Dean. Watching this episode, I caught my self recalling the first season's episode "Faith" when he asked Rev. Roy Le Grange why he chose to save him, Roy answered "I looked into your heart and you just stood out from all the rest........A young man with an important purpose. A job to do. And it isn't finished." and I wondered what would Roy see in Dean's heart if he looked at it right now? would he see that sense of purpose any more? Looking at Dean on earlier seasons, He was that care free reckless overprotective young man with the "I don't give a damn attitude", Dean then valued his family, his Impala, his necklace, his leather jacket, his cheese burger sandwiches and his one night stands. Season seven Dean has lost everything and except for Sam, he has nothing left. The last time we saw him enjoying a meal he ended up stoned and Bobby shot in the head and now even his one night stands ended up with a disaster. And I just want to scream at the show runners and ask them "Stop torturing the guy". Is Dean suicidal? I think he is, since Bobby died we haven't seen him shoot any thing and not even trying to protect his life any more. He may not jump from a bridge but he is more than OK with dying. And even his sense of revenge is not enough to keep him going, His only reason to keep doing the job is not wanting to bail out on Sam, and that too seems to be not enough for him.

All in all, Not a bad episode. I'm waiting on a lighter one next week with clowns unicorns and midgets.

Supernatural: Time After Time (2012)
Season 7, Episode 12
8/10
That's a living proof that Supernatural writers are still somehow smart enough to amuse us
14 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I remember a few days ago when I posted my last episode's comment, I mentioned how much I missed seeing the boys having fun on the job, missed the Rock/Scissor/Paper moments (And Yeah, Dean loses again but at least now with the Paper not his usual Scissors, The guy does learn his lesson after all) and I missed the brotherly teasing ("You gonna look at more anime or are you strictly into Dick now"). I also asked Dean to snap out of his angst because that's life and we are destined to lose people. So I dare to call myself lucky this week, because I got what I wished for and more.

Bobby's death is still aching and Dean is still obsessed with getting revenge on Dick Roman but at least the boys are learning how to deal with the loss while doing their job. With yet another time travel episode, Supernatural writers win the hearts of their fans again with a purely funny amazing episode. The writing is once again fantastic with the good old perfect one liners and brotherly moments. And I liked that even though the boys were separated for most of it, they were working together on the same page.

Nicholas Lea was cool as the one and only Eliot Ness, and his confusion to Dean's childish geeky behaviour was hilarious. Ness's advice to Dean was valuable and made more sense that Frank's "fake it" advice and I hope Dean takes it for once and appreciate his life a little more.

It's always nice to have Kim Rhodes on the show, She brings warmth to a rather tough Sheriff Jody Mills. I loved her motherly interaction with Sam, It's been a very long time since he had this kind of connection with someone especially if it's not a monster or a daemon and we all know how much he needs that touch in his life right now. I hope to see Sheriff Mills again working with the boys, cause I have the sense she is becoming Ellen 2.0 and I like that.

The 1944 era was done neatly and I liked the directing going back and forth between the present and the past. The use of light through the episode was brilliant too. Finally I have to refer how amazing Jensen Ackles looks in every outfit he puts on and though I never mentioned this before, Sam's sideburns are becoming very annoying and his hair is getting too damned long.

Supernatural: Adventures in Babysitting (2012)
Season 7, Episode 11
7/10
Not what I expected
9 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
OK so Frank might be a funny obsessed paranoid conspiracy freak, But Supernatural, if you think he can ever replace Bobby, you are definitely out of your mind. Frank might be a breath of fresh air on the show, he is an interesting character that might be of good help to the Winchesters, but he has no real connection to them like the man who has been there for them all their lives and with us for the past six seasons. I know I'm still hanging by a thread here but I'm still waiting for a supernatural way to bring Bobby back (At least we haven't seen the guy's answer to the reaper, he might have stick around as a ghost or something, and I'll get back to that later on)

The montage of the brothers' reaction to losing Bobby was brilliant, I was kinda dreading seeing them dealing with the situation and I was afraid they might handle it the way they handled loosing John before. Anyway like always "Be careful what you wish for" because those two magnificent guys broke our hearts just by sitting there, avoiding eye contact with each other, unable to lean on one another during their ordeal and each lost in his own world. The sight of Sam just sitting there staring in the blank space and pressing on his scar made my heart ache, while his elder brother is lost in his grief.

The monster of the week theme is not so bad but what made it even better were two things: 1- It is nice to see Sam still willing to sacrifice himself to save innocents, the way he taunted the Vitalea to prevent her from feeding on Lee made me grateful that at least one of the boys still has his head in the game. 2- Madison McLaughlin was getting on my nerves, she was way over the top and I'm glad Krissy quit the job, but what saved the day was the nice chemistry Jensen Ackles had with her. However I didn't really accept the fact that Dean just froze there, unable to help especially when both his brother and some innocent people's lives were in grave danger.

The last scene with Dean trying to put Frank's advice in action was gut wrenching and Jensen gave one of his best performances doing that awesome silent scene. (However as much as I appreciate having him back in the game as much as I dread Frank's advice because it will make Dean suppress his emotions even more and we all know when he crushes under that weight, it won't be pretty)

Back to the ghost thing, there are three theories now going among fans about who drank Dean's beer? 1- It might have been Bobby's spirit trying to make some contact. 2- Dean's alcohol problem is hitting the top now that he can't remember drinking his own beer and this incident might help him realize who much he might be losing control. I go with both possibilities and I'm just willing to wait and see how this unfolds. 3- It might have been Cas, but it is most unlikely in my opinion.

Overall the episode was not bad but not what I expected after the wonderful "Death's door", but I don't know why after seeing it I found myself longing for old season one and two's episodes when the brothers were just different. I just miss the days when there were no tension between them, I miss seeing Dean having fun on the job, I miss seeing them teasing each other, I miss the classic "Shut up" and "Bitch/Jerk" moments, I miss their pranks on each other, I miss the rock/paper/scissors thing, I miss the Impala, I miss Dean's perfect one liners and seeing him hitting on girls, I miss Sam's bitchfaces, I miss the times when their sole purpose was "saving people, hunting things", I miss the times when they really cared about helping each other not just keep one another alive and I most certainly miss when Dean's most important job was to watch out on his little Sammy. I know they are far different now than those 26 and 22 year old boys who hit the road a few years ago looking for their father and fighting monsters from urban legends but sometimes I just wish I could shake Dean and tell him "I know how hard it is to lose everybody, I know you are entitled to grief and as much as I know it hurts but as the girl said people die Dean, so please just snap out of it and pay closer attention to Sam because he needs you right now more than ever and because no matter how many times he insists he is OK you know he is not and he too has lost everything and all is left for him in the world is you, so please be there for him cause that's why we fell in love with you in the first place"

Supernatural: Death's Door (2011)
Season 7, Episode 10
10/10
The saddest episode ever
6 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Watching this episode for the first time, I caught myself sitting on the edge of my seat, crossing my fingers while repeating the same mantra over and over "Please don't kill off Bobby, Please don't kill off Bobby" and reaching for my Kleenex. After watching it again tonight I found myself doing pretty much the same.

On one of the saddest episodes on Supernatural, If not the saddest ever, We say goodbye (Or at least I'm still hopping we don't) to one of the most beloved characters, Bobby Singer. Picking right at the last episode with realising he was shot in the head, Freaked out Sam and Dean rush to the emergency room trying to save him. However instead of staying in the real world watching the boys react to their surrogate father's grave injury, Supernatural decides to do things differently giving us a Bobby centric episode, peaking inside the guy's head and enjoying what might be this great man's last and most outstanding performance. Jim Beaver you were such an asset to the show and your absence will be painfully felt. Bobby goes in to a coma and realizes there is a reaper after him, so he has to team up with his life long partner to find the door to the real world to get a message to Sam and Dean. (Having Steven Williams back even for one episode was such a nice touch, I really didn't like loosing that guy in the first place) Bobby has to relive some of his worst and best memories in order to find the saddest memory ever to open the door. As a child Bobby had to deal with an alcoholic and abusive father that kept telling him "You break everything you touch", a line that haunted him down all his life along with his mother's "God will punish you", that he grew up afraid of becoming another version of his father, he refused to have kids of his own, he even had to break his wife's heart by refusing to have kids three days before she got possessed adding to his guilt for her as they never got past this night. But as fate has it, He met John who put the boys in his custody for most of their lives, so he became their real father when John was obsessed over finding his wife's killer that John forgot that the boys were kids and needed a father more than a trainer. Bobby raised the boys and was proud of what they turned into. It was so good to view this relationship from Bobby's perspective and know that his happy memories is with the boys.

Talk about Dean and Sam, The brothers are devastated over the idea of losing Bobby, each in his own way. Dean as always is in denial, refusing to accept his father's death, pointing out that they already have lost enough and lashing out his anger on the Levaithan boss as he shows up with the creepy smile on his face. Will Bobby's death get Dean back into the game? Will he deal with Bobby's death with his tail spinning as he did when John died?

While Sam trying like forever to deal with his pain and face up to the ordeal, He is clearly terrified. But will Bobby's death be the crack in his armour? Judging by the way he pressed his scar, I say Yes. I'm not sure, Was Lucifer taunting him in his head or Was he hoping that this around him wasn't real? I go for both and my heart breaks for the younger Winchester brother as he has to struggle through this alone.

This magnificent episode ends on yet another torturing cliffhanger that has been killing me all through this impossibly long winter hiatus, and with only a few hours left for the next one to air, I'm dying to know Will Bobby choose to go with the Reaper? Will the boys really be OK without him? I just have to wait and see.

You don't shoot Bambi, jackass. You shoot Bambi's mother.
6 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Oh Supernatural, What are you going to do to us? Are you really going to kill off an amazing character like Bobby? No way, I didn't really complain like other fans when you took out Cas, I even had patience when you took out the Metallicar But taking out Bobby! This is completely unacceptable. Who else will the brothers have in the world? Who else will they lean onto when they are all screwed up? Who will knock some sense in their scrambled minds? Please don't kill off Bobby especially now that we know more about the awesome dude. There was some hope for the guy to have some happy ending with a woman like Sheriff Jodi Mills and that was so cute. I also loved that he took the boys out hunting when they were little.

Any way I will just have to say the episode was a strong one after a crappy Meta episode. I find the Levaithan's plan a little lame but funny. especially when we had to see a stoned Dean and peak into his head. Jensen Ackles was hilarious as a wasted Dean and it was a very long time since we have seen him smile and act goofy.

It was a nice touch too to remind us that Lucifer is still hanging around in Sam's head but all is hopefully still under control.

Cut to Dick Roman, who is a new version of the big bad. Dick is, well a "dick" who has influence besides power which makes him probably more scary than most creatures we have come across on the show. But I'm afraid the actor can't convey the same level of intimidation as Lucifer or Death have done before. However I liked the totally funny "The rise of Dick" clip with all the poorly photo shopped pictures.

Sam gets married!
1 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Here is what I think Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loflin had in mind writing this episode, "Why not tease some fan girls by making one of the boys, aka Sam, get married and have him say some romantic crap and act utterly weird, then have him tied pantless to a bed, While doing a crossroads daemon episode, I bet the fan girls would start screaming to the fantasy"

OK I can't deny I liked the idea of one of the guys getting married, I even laughed at Sam's out of character bizarre behaviour, Jared seemed to have fun doing that, Plus I think that loop hole daemon idea was clever and I loved the exploding wedding cake title card.

But still I can't even get my self to like this episode for 4 main reasons:

1- Becky, I think adding a character like Becky was nice but for only once, then the writers decided to bring her back on season five's "The Real Ghostbusters" again, OK this I could still handle, but bringing her for the third time! No, that is too much. I don't know what the writers are trying to tell us through this very annoying character? Becky is a pathetic loser who drugged and kidnapped Sam, She also did the ultimate mistake by trying to separate the brothers and I'm supposed to feel sorry for her? and is this the way the writers see the fans? Are we that pathetic to them? I remember asking the same question on "The Real Ghostbusters" and then I told myself this is the creators idea to poke fun about everything even fans, but it should have been a one time show and I totally can't stand characters like her any more. So please Supernatural creators be smart about it and end this stupid actions.

2- I liked DJ Qualls. Garth was an extraordinary character, he was just different from most hunters we got to see on the show who were mostly dicks. (Add him to the list of weird people Bobby Knows!) But I don't understand why Dean needed his help in the first place and why bring such a talent to be wasted. Garth didn't add anything to the case and he missed all the action later.

3- So Crowley is now talking about integrity! Yeah right! Since I only recall last season when he refused to return Bobby's soul by manipulating the terms of the contract. Integrity! You just got to be kidding.

4- Finally, I always liked the brotherly heart to heart by the car and I even said that their relationship is getting more mature and I made that point clearly on how they dealt with each other last episode but this episode really feels like a regression. First, For Dean to let his brother go with the so called bride was very stupid and felt unreal, because for someone who is supposed to know his little brother more than anything he should have suspected Sam was under some kind of spell and focus more on saving his brother even if that meant spying on him (He did that for Bobby before for God's sake!) especially that he knows Sam (even if he was that new well adjusted Sam) would never do the "life is too short crap" and marry someone like Becky and especially Becky! Ugh! Second, The talk in the end about how Sam doesn't need Dean to worry about him was overdone and we heard that talk before so so so many times and Sam, Please you know your brother's only job is to care for you, and judging by the look that was on Dean's face, he doesn't even know how to care for himself, so stop asking him for things he can't do. Dean's existence revolves around caring about others, so where are we supposed to get from the talk? is the bond getting stronger or weaker? I'm confused and angry.

Supernatural: The Mentalists (2011)
Season 7, Episode 7
8/10
Let's get back to basics
31 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
We have been promised that Supernatural is going back to its early season's basics, and what better way to do so than a simple old school ghost hunt, which has been always one of the strongest assets of the show. So we are having rock salt loaded shot guns, salt circles, iron, digging graves, burning bones, gory deaths and of course one of the boys having a spark with a nice girl.

This job also gave the boys a chance to deal with each other on a mature manner than their usual behaviour. Sam had to listen to his brother's reasons and learn why Dean had to lie to him about Amy. Sam had the right to be angry with Dean, not only for killing his friend but also for lying to him and for hiding things out. On the other hand, Dean had to see that he has to learn to trust someone again, he had to explain himself to his little brother, telling him exactly why he had been lying to him. Dean had to open up a little and tell his brother how concerned he is about Sam's state of mind and how hurt he is about Castiel's betrayal. He told Sam how hard it had been for him to have to lie so he is retreating to drinking.

I like the way the boys returned to work with each other, they had to be professional when peoples lives was at stake and this gave them time to accept being with each other and accept talking to each other. And I'm glad the Amy issue is finally water under the bridge.

Supernatural: Slash Fiction (2011)
Season 7, Episode 6
9/10
Evil doppelgangers!
31 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
OK who's your favourite villain? Is it Lucifer? Isit Death? Or is it perhaps Crowley? No! It is evil Sam and Dean Winchester!!!!!!

Wow, This was just brilliant! I can't help put stop and marvel on every second of this fun loaded episode. The writing was perhaps the smartest we had on the show for a very very long time. There were so many clever great lines from every character and I have to add that the director was purely excellent.

"Slash fiction" comes as a happy reward for every Supernatural fan, with all the dreamy unforgettable moments:

1- Evil Sam and Dean go on a killing spree.

2- Leviathan Chet is both annoying and scarily smart.

3- Frank Devereaux is another example why I love Bobby. How the Hell does he know all those handy freaks? (Remember the first time we met Rufus guys?) Frank is hilarious, paranoid and outright sarcastic.

4- OK smashing Sam's laptop and burning out their rock aliases is one thing but taking the Impala is highly unacceptable. I heard Sera Gamble talk about how the boys will loose everything they have relied on in season seven, But not the Impala please. "No body puts baby in a corner", You are right on that Dean, especially when he and poor Sammy get crammed in the metal crappy car and with a "My little pony" hanging in the mirror. This must be Hell.

5- I love Sheriff Jody Mills, She is a perfect match for Bobby. The guy needs someone like her in his life, Please keep her on the show. They are so cute together.

6- Dean lip synching Air supply! I'm having fun and I'm recalling a similar scene on season two's "Simon said" with Dean singing "Can't Fight This Feeling". And Sam's freaked out face! Oh Sam why do you always have to be the fun spoiler?

7- Flashing back to the boys great hits from season one brings so many happy memories, smart move Supernatural creators, smart move.

8- The scene with evil Dean and Sam at the diner, this was priceless. Jared and Jensen must have had tons of fun doing that scene.

9- Evil Bobby! I definitely would like to see that again. Plus we get to know a bit more about the dark territory Bobby is having in his mind.

10- So Borax does the job? Too funny too cheesy.

11- Evil Dean taunting poor Sammy then dropping the Amy bomb shell! OH Sammy!

12- "Don't open it. Even if it starts talking, especially if it starts talking. When you cross over Underhill Bridge, toss it in the drink."

13- We finally meet the Levaithan boss and Crowley is back doing his usual deal of making twisted evil alliances. Good that someone is putting him in the right place.

And now a major discussion topic: Is Sam being over dramatic about the Amy thing? Is the boy's relationship retreating or are they show some extent of maturity?

I'm not giving my usual "Yes and No" answer, because the answer comes as a very big clear No this time. Sam is very angry with Dean right now, he might not be angry because Dean killed Amy but more because Dean had constantly lied to him about it, when he came clean to his brother about Lucifer and every thing that has been going on in his head. He is considering Evil Dean's words about how the real Dean thinks his mind is not in the right place, so Sam thinks his brother is not trusting his judgements any more so he is very angry with that thought. So Sam chose to walk away to get some time to cool off and reconsider things, in stead of venting out his anger on his brother and having to say hurtful things like they did to each other before, words they wish they could take back. Dean too knew no matter how he tried to justify his act to Sam, nothing can make him understand it right now, so he had to let his brother go and cool off for sometime. So Yes they are showing a great level of maturity learning from their past mistakes.

Supernatural: Shut Up, Dr. Phil (2011)
Season 7, Episode 5
8/10
The War of the Roses.
31 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I never was a Buffy fan but I was crazy about Angel, so to have Cordelia and Spike together again on a show, that was a welcome touch. Now more than ever Supernatural needs to lighten up the tone of events and The War of the Roses theme was a very nice change. James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter still share the same great spark and I'm glad as a fan for not killing them off at the end. That brings me to why so many fans complained about that fact, In my Humble opinion this episode could have worked better had it been earlier on the show and not after that Amy dilemma. The Winchesters have let some Villains go before (Does Patrick ring a bell anyone) so it is not the first time and the two witches here have proved themselves to be very powerful, so they are not that easy to kill. Needless to say that Don had saved them twice, OK I know the same happened with Amy who saved Sam's life before but let's not forget three main things: 1- Amy might have not been Dean's smartest move, the guy has been beating himself up about it for weeks now. 2- There are more urgent things at hand for the boys now that they have captured a Levaithan and had to put him somewhere safe before the spell wears off. 3- I know it's a very long shot, But I'm daring to dream they might use Don's help in the future fight off the ancient creatures, so just wait and see.

Cut to the Winchester boys:

1- Why did Sam now more than ever worry about Dean's drinking habits since it wasn't an issue before? But Dean's drinking problems surfaced up on season four after his trip to Hell, so drinking was his way of dealing with nasty stuff and Sam could understand that, but now for someone who is stuck 24/7 with his elder brother, Sam can't put his hand on why exactly Dean is retreating to drinking again, Moreover Dean has also been experiencing frequent endless nightmares, plus his surfaced guilt issues last episode.

2- Dean's little experience with Osiris last episode clearly didn't help much and the guy is still having trouble dealing with his guilt towards everything starting from Sam's mental state, to Cas, to having to hide out the truth about Amy from Sam.

3- So frequent do I see fans complaining about the boys' heart to heart talks beside the Impala, so allow me to say please stop complaining about them. The two had gone to Hell and back, they have lost their support system and have no body else in the world but each other (Yeah, well there is Bobby also, but I have to say he is not the poster boy of mental health) So they have to deal with their problems the way they usually do. Sam wants to talk and let out his feelings, While Dean is hiding his feelings deep down under. For some reason I don't see them talking to a shrink about their problems, simply because we know what would happen then (Recall "Sam interrupted" any one?). Besides those heart to hearts are one of the reasons most fans are in love with the show, without them they would be two soulless robots fighting evil things and that would be so boring.

All in All this was a nice episode, I loved the showdown between the boys and the Starks, with the Starks toying with the brothers, tossing them around the room like play things. Jensen and Jared have always had good comic timing and both are great with physical comedy. I also missed the Supernatural creative gory deaths, Talk about head fried in one of those beehive dryers, a guy pinned in an out house with a nail gun, a head sliced clean with a tray (I was utterly happy when Maggie's annoying friend got her head chopped off) and the unforgettable hearts in the Cupcakes (and this was another reason why I never eat Cupcakes)

Supernatural: Defending Your Life (2011)
Season 7, Episode 4
7/10
Feeling the guilt.
30 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
If you think "The girl next door" was disappointing, just wait to see this one. I thought season seven would make up for all the flaws of season six and I was willing to have a reasonable explanations for last one, but now I'm not so sure. This is definitely flawed from the get go.

1- The Amy story line is apparently going to stick around a little while longer. Sam stops in the middle of an investigation, after dealing with another hallucination, to thank Dean for letting Amy go (Yeah, not forced at all)and unknowingly making his brother more guilty.

2- For Sam to leave that elder guy in the motel room for hours and expect him to really stay put inside the salt circle, leaving him in such a hurry when he is supposed to help him in the first place, was annoying.

3- I was really excited to have Jo back on the show, but it only added to my disappointment and I have to ask Supernatural creators, Why the Hell do you hate the girl that much? First, She was not the most convincing witness to bring on Dean, why not bring someone Like Pamela, or John who died to save his son, or Ash or even Cas (that's of course if angels had ghosts). Second, Her appearance didn't add much to her character and she certainly did not help Dean with his guilt.

4- Finally, Being Egyptian myself who spent some of my school time studying history I can say Supernatural writers didnot do their homework right and did so little to a rather intriguing Pharonic legend. Plus what's with the cheesy customs and the cheep décor? But I was willing to get over all that only If the story was done better. Dealing with pagan Gods is nice and having a different view for them than just being flesh eating freaks was interesting. Yet Osiris here was so annoying for a judge who claims to be impartial to his victims, He is deciding everything ahead and the trial is no more than an entertaining act for him. He is bringing witnesses to the stand and though he allows Sam to play attorney, he refuses his objections, he is also putting words to the witness's mouth and decides when to stop the witness from proceeding.

OK, so cut to the good stuff:

1- It is good to see Dean back to having fun with girls, it is been so long since we have seen him working his charm.

2- I'm so proud and impressed with Sam, he is displaying a very high level of maturity, His worry about Dean and his passion to defend him and save his life was endearing and heartbreaking at the same time, as I wished Dean would come clean to his little brother about Amy, so that he wouldn't have to know it from some one else as we know would eventually happen and the results would be nasty. I'm also impressed with how he is dealing with his own guilt issues, Sam knows he had his share of bad deeds but he also knows he can't undo them and he thinks he has paid for them to some extent in Hell and still does with his hallucinations, so he might not have his slate wiped clean, but he can at least accept who he is, get over it and go on with his life. Will things really get better for the younger Winchester? I hope it does, But we know better.

3- Dean is taking his guilt issues as he usually does, he is burying his feelings deep under alcohol. He no longer can see the reason why he is still doing his job. The Dean we know a few years earlier, who was willing to save anybody even criminals, can no longer see the point to saving some people with bad history even if they already paid for the bad things they had done. Dean is OK with dying and especially when he can protect Sam from the pain of knowing what he had done to Amy. He is dealing with a load of guilt, he is guilty over everything, guilty over pulling Sam out of Stanford in the first place, guilty over Ellen and Jo, guilty over Pamela, guilty over his time in Hell, guilty over Amy but even more guilty over lying to his brother. The scene with Jo was heartbreaking, he is not even using his fighting skills as a hunter to save his own life any more. He finally shares his guilt with some one and handles his last moments with utter calmness and acceptance.

4- I loved the flashbacks, Bringing out so many heart wrenching memories even as going as far as hurting us with the saddest moment ever on Supernatural when Sam died on "All Hell breaks loose".

Supernatural: The Girl Next Door (2011)
Season 7, Episode 3
7/10
Everything tastes better with cheese
30 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
If anything this episode left me both confused and disheartened. I was high on expectations for this season after the strong start and the amazing last episode. But now I find myself conflicted between loving it and hating it all the same. I read various reviews and comments to come out with a solid view on it, only to find out that I'm now more confused than before.

Here is what I expected after last episode, I expected a heavy struggle in the hospital, I expected a more intense getaway, I expected to see Sam struggle more with his hallucinations, I expected to see Dean hovering over an unconscious Sam and worrying about him and I expected to see Mark Pelligrino again. But none of that happened, Though I happen to understand why the creators chose to tone down the events after an intense beginning, I'm still disappointed.

So I'm going to point out what I liked about this episode:

1- It's good to know that Bobby is not dead. I loved his come to the boys rescue at the hospital and his soft reaction to Dean saying "I'm a gimp", Dean needed that soft touch in his time of distress. However I would have really appreciated a little explanation on where he was earlier when his house was turned to ashes.

2- It is always nice to have Colin Ford on the show, the boy is getting better and better and he is conveying Sam's mannerisms perfectly.

3- We got to see Sam's first kiss. We also got to see how young Sam dealt with his father, it seemed that the two have been having problems with each other since forever, However pointing out John drinking habits left e a little annoyed, as if John's image could afford more cracks to it.

4- This is the second directorial attempt for the multi talented Jensen Ackles. He is doing a great job, I loved his use of lights and the amazing flashbacks.

5- "New rule, You take my baby, You get punched"

6- Finally, The Levaithans are getting more and more interesting, though they let me down, for taking them that long to figure out the Winchesters are in hospital, they made up for that by their high intelligence and their ability to infiltrate in various positions and track down the Winchester brothers using their fake aliases. And of course the scary final scene and Yes everything tastes better with cheese.

So Why am I confused? Here is my long and detailed answer:

1- Sam, We have seen the guy identify with freaks before, but it seems it has been going longer than we expected. His first crush was with Amy who turned out later to be a monster herself but a friendly one who killed her mother to save Sam. So Sam owed her his life but is conflicted between ending her to stop her from killing more people and paying his debt by letting her go for she had her reasons to go on the killing spree for a while. Sam, a few weeks earlier, didn't trust himself as a hunter and he still does not but he also has to clean up his mess. He had to keep the thing secret from Dean, for his brother will definitely try and stop him.

2- Dean, Oh my God, Am I angry with the guy? Yes and No. Yes Dean was very cruel with Amy and I hated killing her, especially in front of her son. No, I understand why exactly he did what he did. Dean is worried about Sam he is waiting for the other shoe to drop since apparently Sam is still suffering from his hallucinations and he saw him check out earlier so as much as he might want to trust his little brother he knows he can't, not only because of his current state of mind but for other various reasons. Because Dean learned to deal with shades of grey before and he knows that is eventually a very dangerous road, he knows once you have killed you will kill again, being a good person doesn't mean you will not go down the dark road, He has seen that before with Sam and Cas, He has seen Lenor kill again, he himself was back on torture when he had to. He can understand what Amy had to do to save her son and he would have done the same to save Sam but after his failure with Cas he can't afford to let another monster threaten people's lives again. He had to hide it from Sam for the same reason Sam hid it from him, because Sam will stop him and allow me to get a head of my self and say when he explained later to Sam why he had to lie, because he was doing his brother's dirty work, the job the younger Winchester would not do. But why didn't he kill her son? Well that's a very interesting question. Dean's callousness with the kid reflects Dean's state of mind perfectly. He is indifferent to the boys words about killing him, he asks the boy to look him up in a few years if he lives that long. Dean is so depressed that he knows he already lost the game and no matter what nothing will turn better for him and his end will be nasty, besides it would have been too cruel to see Dean kill a child and we would have massively hated that. Finally, Killing Amy might not be a very good thing to do but I also like to think the boys are only flawed human beings with their share of mistakes and this is not their first mistake.

Supernatural: Meet the New Boss (2011)
Season 7, Episode 1
9/10
Supernatural is back!
30 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Season seven is the first season I watch according to the airing schedule, so it is pretty much torturing to have to wait for the next episode to come out and know what the Hell happens next. The first time I saw this I was like " Yay, Supernatural is back, not only with amazing acting, a promising plot but also they brought back my two favorite villains (Yes I'm talking about Mark Pellegrino and Julian Richings) and the beginning was so good that can make up for the sloppy season six"

Where do I begin? Shall I mention the amazing Misha Collins performance, as he takes the nerdy angels to a new level displaying his arrogance and danger and his great crazy eyes wicked performance as the levaithans took over? Wow, just wow. Or Do I have to mention the evergreen Jensen Ackles as Dean? the man who has gone through much and lost too much. Dean has recently lost Lisa and Ben and now he isn't taking Castiel's betrayal (the only friend he has ever had) very well but also he has to deal with Sam's state of mind. Dean wants too bad to believe Sam can be alright but he knows better because they never catch a break, because no matter how hard he tries to save Sam or Castiel or even the world something will always come up. So he takes refuge in fixing his beloved Impala drinking whiskey and watching Asian cartoon porn. The exchange of look between Dean and Cas at the library scene was heartbreaking, as we watch two guys who once shared a "profound bond" now hurting each other to the most.

And then there is Sam, The poor guy is caught in the middle of a mess he can't handle, he has to deal with the wall breaking in his head and his hallucinations but he has to keep acting as if everything is normal for his brother, because he doesn't want to worry him or let him down, but things are going out of control as Lucifer comes back telling him his life is unreal and that he never escaped the cage.

I like the fact that Sam didn't want to give up on Cas, he thinks that Cas deserves a second chance like he did after opening Lucifer's cage a couple of years earlier.

As for Bobby, I'm always grateful to have that man on the show. Bobby is the boys' only safe harbor and their only voice of reason when they are all messed up.

Finally, Bringing back my two favorite villains is pretty smart. Julian Richings is perfect, he is always intimidating as Death with his wicked sense of humor and detachment for lower beings as well as his funny love of cheap food. And Mark Pellegrino, What can I say? the guy is great and I'm really happy he found his way back to the show.

Sera Gamble, Good start and good luck with the rest of the season.

Supernatural: Hello, Cruel World (2011)
Season 7, Episode 2
10/10
A beautiful mind.
30 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
If any episode made me glad Supernatural expanded beyond the fifth season, this is the one. Oh My God, this is just amazingly amazing.

There is nothing more scary for a some one than having to deal with his inner daemons and his craziness that can't be fixed by any supernatural mean. The poor orphaned freak kid we met on season one who desperately wanted a normal life but had to deal with the loss of his girlfriend then his father then failing to save his brother from Hell, only to fall as an easy target to a daemon's manipulations and go down a dark road addicting to daemon blood and opening the Devil's cage, redeeming himself later by sacrificing himself to save the world, but no, it wasn't over for that troubled young man as he had to come back missing a soul that is left to be tortured in Hell and now he has to deal with that time down under. After he thought everything is going down OK with him, as he is finally back with his brother hunting together again, Poor Sam is going down the crazy road like a tornado. He can't tell real from unreal and now Lucifer is giving him all the reasonable answers to his and Dean's questions, making him believe that Lucifer can be real and the world around him is not. Sam can't trust himself as hunter again, he graciously admits he is in no shape hunting again and claims his role to stay put and do his research, but when imaginary Lucifer takes Dean's form and asks him to go on a hunt, he is faced by yet another great fear as fake Dean tells him he will never be okay no matter how hard he tries, then Lucifer keeps pushing him on the edge of suicide to free himself from this eternal torture. But will Sam ever be OK again after Dean helped him tell the difference from what's real and what's not? Will his head trauma undo all Dean's efforts to save his brother, that's if they survived the Levaithans waiting for them in the hospital? I was dying to know the answer to these questions.

Dean, who has lost everything and everyone around him, he still can't get over losing Cas, Lisa and Ben and he is obviously on the verge of cracking himself, But the only one who can see that is Bobby, But Dean the "non sharing and caring" type of guy refuses to talk about his problems putting Sam as his only priority, only until he thinks he has lost Bobby too that he cracks and admits he is not really OK. Dean who is known for burying his feelings deep under whisky and porn, has to share his memories of Hell to save his brother but as always life never gives those two a break.

Misha Collins, I'm not going to dwell on the usual fan temper when it comes to that amazing actor and his endearing character Castiel. I'm not going to make a fuss and keep asking for him to come back and I'm willing to see how the events this season will unfold. But at least Castiel deserved a better way to go than this, I know the floating trench coat was heartbreaking but he really deserved more.

Finally, Call me wicked, but as much as I want Sam to get better as much as I want Mark Pellegrino to stick around more. And please don't kill Bobby.

The episode was perfect, the Levaithans are probably the scariest creatures we have met on Supernatural, they are smart, shape shifter like taking the form of it's victims as well as it's memories and experiences and apparently hard to kill. The brotherly scene at the warehouse was great, well written and acted, no matter how many times I watch that scene I never seize to marvel over it utter greatness. This is diffidently a must watch.

Supernatural: The Man Who Knew Too Much (2011)
Season 6, Episode 22
9/10
"You know me, you know why. I'm not leaving my brother alone out there."
26 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Those words right there are exactly why we would fall in love with the show once again. Much like season five when the brotherly love was the one thing that saved the day, now Sam has to fight his inner struggles to be there for his brother, ending up being saved himself from his eternal Hell.

Though I'm still unsure about season six, (I think it was good not great though but not bad either) I find myself marvelling again by the ability of the ever amazing Kripke to fascinate us. I was confused on how to rate this episode so I went back to revise my rating for the five previous finales and I found out this one might not be that emotionally charged like the others yet it was different and unique all the same. Eric Kripke, you are one magnificent man, I hope you stick around more on season seven, your presence was sure missed on season six and I'm still longing for the classic rock scores and the amazing Dean one liners.

I have to take off my hat to the amazing Jared Padalecki, I started the show a little unsure about his acting skills but the guy had gone a long way through the seasons and proved himself as a very fine actor on more than one occasion. He takes us one a tour exploring the fractured aspects of Sam brilliantly.

As for Cas, I don't know whether to be angry or glad. I'm glad the nerdy angels outsmarted both Crowley and Raphael taking the latter down and preventing him/her from bringing back the apocalypse. I'm also angry with the guy for being that corrupted with power and refusing to listen to his friends going as far as killing Balthazar. I remember feeling heartbroken last episode when the Winchesters accused him for being involved with kidnapping Lisa and Ben. Now I'm even more heartbroken to see him doing a far worse cruel act as breaking down Sam's wall to force Dean to step down. Oh my God Cas, How could you do that? You could have killed Sammy, and then there would never be any forgiveness. Cas now is like season four's Sam, Blinded by power, unable to see how corrupted he has become, going on a self destructive mission for what he views as the greater good. I hope Cas would find redemption on season seven as Sam did before.

Finally, and I say it for like the millionth time, Please stop hurting the Metalicar.

Supernatural: Let It Bleed (2011)
Season 6, Episode 21

Tying up loose ends
25 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Some episodes are very hard to comment on, and this is sure one of them. So full on events and emotions that can leave our head spinning by the end. Ever since Dean had Lisa and Ben in his life, he was torn between his desire to be with them as a family and his worry over protecting them. Dean knew his presence in their lives would turn out nasty one day. He had to let them go in order not to screw up their lives, in order not to to see Ben turn into another version of him and Sam. And now he is left facing one of his worst nightmares, when Crowley decides to hold them captive to force Dean to stand down. Dean finds himself doing questionable actions that he would hate to do in normal circumstances, He is back to torture and he is over the edge one again. He refuses to back down and let even Sam help him. But then he had to make yet another ultimate sacrifice choosing to ask Cas wipe their memories clean so they would not remember him, so they would never remember the amount of pain his presence in their lives had inflected on them, so Ben would not remember the horrible things that came out of his possessed mother's mouth, so Lisa would not hate herself for what she said to her boy.

Jensen Ackles delivered an award worthy performance in the scene in the hospital. We could see the pain, guilt and loss all over poor Dean.

Castiel is still trying to justify his actions to the only human he had ever cared about, he is trying to remind Dean of the many times he stood by his side, trying to ask him to trust him and stand down letting him do what he thinks is right. I find myself recalling the same act back on season four when Sam was asking Dean to trust him and accept the fact the he is working with a daemon for the greater good. Back then I hopped that Dean would trust his little brother a little more, just like I hopped he would trust Castiel now, But deep down I know Dean is right just like he was right with Sam before. But then I wonder will Dean ever save Cas from his crazy plan or will they face the disastrous results of failing to knock some sense into the nerdy angel's mind and they will be left to clean up the mess he will leave behind like Sam did two seasons ago?

Cindy Sampson was good in her twisted evil role and I hope this is not the last we see of her. I still can't fully accept the idea of erasing Lisa and Ben's memories even though I understand the reasons for it because on the other hand they would always be in danger just because Dean will always care for them and the bad guys know it too.

Finally I like the idea of bringing on a friendly purgatory monster in the form of Dr. Eleanor Visyak, there is more to this lady than we were told before.

All in all, this is an important Pre finale may be not as climatic as the previous seasons but it is sure rich in events.

The only downside that is troubling me was that Dean should have known Lisa or Ben would be possessed he saw that happen before with his dad on season one and later with Bobby on season five, He should at least test them with some holly water or something first but I guess his mind was not in the right place then with so many things troubling him.

Supernatural: The Man Who Would Be King (2011)
Season 6, Episode 20

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions
24 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Oh Cas what happened to you? Cas decides to tell us his side of story, explaining the hard choices he had to take since the apocalypse had been undone, tying up loose ends and revealing up some mysteries. Meanwhile Dean is having a hard time dealing with the fact that Castiel has been working with Crowley.

The episode was well written, Misha Collins did a good job conveying Casyiel's ordeal. Jensen Ackles was brilliant as Dean, who is pained over being deceived by yet another brother. The daemonic version of bobby was too cheesy but funny.

Will Castiel ever redeem himself? Will Dean and Sam forgive him as they once before forgave each other? Will they save the day together like before? Or is there still something nasty coming along the way?

Supernatural: Mommy Dearest (2011)
Season 6, Episode 19
7/10
Jefferson Starships
24 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Season six got me confused, I don't know by now who is the real big bad of the season. Since the first episode of the season we have been jumping on from one story line to another. First there were the alpha monsters, then the search for purgatory, then the Campbells, and Sam's missing soul, later we found out about the war in Heaven and Angels buying human souls, then we killed Crowley to find out now that he is not dead and Cas now is a suspect (Oh What happened to you Cas, you used to be an Angel with a heart not a ruthless killing machine and now you are working with Crowley?) and finally the Mother of All story. Some viewers might find the various story lines as the season is rich in ideas, I find it messy, scattered and confusing even if the story lines are all tied together in the end. Sure there are some good episodes but overall I find myself wishing (and I say it again) this great show ended with the amazing season five finale.

What I liked about this episode?

1- The scene with the Winchesters and the two boys was heart warming, Both Sam and Dean delivered a great silent conversation as always. Dean looked at them thinking "Yeah, I've been there" with Sam looking at him thinking "I'm grateful you have always been there for me" then looking at the window and with a faint of a sad smile looking back at his life with his big brother. And I love the level of synchronization between the Winchester brothers that has been running around for a couple of episodes now.

2- Dean defying Casteil to save the boys instead of focusing on the greater purpose.

3- Why does most villains have to hurt the boys using a distorted image of their mother? Samantha Smith was great in her evil role and I liked the boys painful reaction to Lenore.

4- Jefferson Starships :)

Things I didn't like:

1- Killing the Mother of All came too easy and didn't match the worry we had for a few episodes about her powers and her menacing threat.

2- I liked Amber Benson on "Bloodlust", yet something in her performance now is annoying me. However, I felt bad and shocked when Castiel ruthlessly killed her.

Now I'm wondering again, Who is the real big bad this season? Is it Crowley or Castiel or something else that will come out later on? How will Dean handle Cas's betrayal? We still have three episodes left to see.

Supernatural: Frontierland (2011)
Season 6, Episode 18

Back to the future
24 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Supernatural decides to take us on a crazy ride back to the wild west where Sam and Dean have to go to the year 1861 to get phoenix ash that can kill the Mother of All.

The episode was hilarious and the directing and writing were great. Jensen as always was great portraying Dean's childish giddiness and excitement as he goes on his fantasy tour back in time and his disappointment when everything turned out not being as cool as the movies. It's always good to see Dean having fun again doing a job.

Sam too had the chance to meet his hunter idol Samuel Colt and lecture him about life as a hunter, showing a great level of maturity. There couldn't have been anyone better for the role of Samuel Colt more than Sam Hennings. I also appreciated the care for details as Dean dropped the colt and didn't take it with him because otherwise he would have changed the whole course of events.

We got the chance to know a little bit more about the war in Heaven and the power of the souls. I loved that Bobby didn't think twice when he jeopardized his own life to bring the boys back to the present time. And I liked that Cas chose Bobby's house as refuge when he needed a safe place to hide.

Finally, I felt so sad about the Phoenix but I guess he had to die anyway to use his ashes to kill the Mother.

Supernatural: My Heart Will Go On (2011)
Season 6, Episode 17

One way or another
20 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I don't watch many horror movies, but some I do appreciate. Watching this episode I flashed back to one of my favourites, Final destination. I liked the way fate took down her victims. It was wonderful seeing Ellen again and her presence gave a softer side to the grumpy Bobby, I would have appreciated seeing Jo too. I felt very sad for Bobby to see him not coping so well with losing Rufus. Finally I appreciated the lighter moments like seeing Sam loose for the first time in Rock-Paper and Scissors, The One way or another music score as the boys tend desperately to avoid their inevitable death.

Anyway, I have to add that the Titanic movie wasn't that Bad and I love Celine Dion. (so shut up Supernatural)

Castiel's discretion about the war in Heaven is still disturbing and the viewer still lacks a coherent view on the events this season, we are still scattered between the war in Heaven and the Mother of All stories and I'm still hoping there is a connection somewhere between those two stories.
