A long time I have been searching for a list with this title. The original Top 250 are the people's choice, but there are several aspects, I don't agree with, e.g. The Avengers being on the list. Therefore I liked to see what the "Pros" think, the thousand people on IMDB, who have most experience with movies. Unfortunately there is no way on the IMDB website to sort movies after the rating of the Top 1000 Voters, so I found other ways to solve this problem. This List contains the 250 feature films with the best "top1000" rating, having at least 25000 ratings overall (as the normal Top 250 do, too). I'm independent from the rounded weighted average written on the site, because I didn't copy and paste it, but managed to find out in what way the average is weighted to eliminate " attempts at 'vote stuffing' by individuals". To prove this i will indicate several decimals for every movie.
As you may have noticed I am no english native-speaker, so please help me to improve this description and feel free to comment and correct it. Enjoy!
